इंद्रासन का दूसरा नाम है सत्ता सुख…?

इंद्रासन का मतलब देवताओं के राजा का सिहांसन जो कभी स्वर्ग का प्रतीक था… आज वो राजनीती का पर्याप्य बन गया है. इंद्रासन पाने के लिए देवताओं व दानवों का खेल सदियों पुराना है. सत्ता सुख वही इंद्रासन है, जिस पर बैठते ही मानव को देवत्व की प्राप्ति हो जाती है. वर्तमान समय में भी कुर्सी प्रेम चल रहा है आलम ये है कि, लोग ख्बाव  में भी कुर्सी ही देख रहें है और मुस्कुराते हुए कहते हैं अरे हुजूर .. जिंदगी का असली मजा तो ‘कुर्सी’ ही है.

पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, इंद्र का डर ‘इन्द्रासन’ खोने का रहता था. जरा सा ‘इन्द्रासन’ डगमगाई नहीं कि वे भागकर त्रिदेवों के पास पहुँच जाते थे ठीक वैसी ही परिस्थिति आज भी है. इंद्र के डर का बड़ा कारण ‘तपस्या’ थी वहीँ वर्तमान समय में विपक्ष या गठबंधन में असंतोष। दोनों ही मामलों में सुख की नींव ‘डर’ पर टिकी है. सत्ता सुख वो ‘सोमरस’ जिसके चखने के बाद उसके साये में रहने वाला हर आदमी ‘नारद’ ही दीखता है.

इन्द्रासन पर बैठते ही मेनका, रंभा सहित अन्य अप्सराओं के नृत्य और संगीत का आनंद मुफ्त में मिलता था ठीक उसी प्रकार, ‘कुर्सी’ पर बैठते ही अप्सराओं की जगह फाइलों और लाल बत्ती ने ले ली. इंद्र के पास ऐरावत था आज कुर्सी पर बैठे लोगों के पास सफेद गाड़ियाँ और महँगे प्रोजेक्ट्स जो अक्सर सफ़ेद हाथी ही साबित होते हैं। पहले इंद्र का दरबार हुआ करता था परन्तु अब उसे लोकतंत्र का मंदिर कहा जाता है जहाँ समर्थकों की भीड़ हुआ करती है और संगीत की जगह ‘जिंदाबाद’ के नारे लगाए जाते हैं.

देवताओं के राजा थे इंद्र और उनके पास ‘वज्र’ की ताकत थी और वर्तमान समय की ताकत है जांच एजेंसियां। कुर्सी पर बैठते ही  जनता की याददाश्त धुंधली हो जाती है साथ ही चुनावी मंच पर किये गए वादे भी “काव्यात्मक अलंकार”बन जाते हैं.

पूर्व में इंद्र ऋषि-मुनियों की तपस्या भंग करने के लिए तमाम तरह के उपाय करते थे वहीं आज भी कुर्सी पर बैठे लोग सत्तासुख का आनंद लेते हुए नए-नए मुद्दे उछालते रहे हैं ताकि जनता बुनियादी सवालों से दूर होकर मुद्दों में उलझे रहें. खैर छोड़िये, वर्तमान समय में इंद्रासन की विडंबना ये है कि, सत्ता सुख का मजा लेने के लिए जनता हर पांच वर्ष के लिए किराए पर देती है परन्तु सत्ता सुख का असली मजा तो कुर्सी का है जिस पर वो बैठा है. बाकी आवाम तो… अखबार की सुर्खियों और टीवी डिबेट से ही खुश है.

सत्ता सुख को ही इन्द्रासन कहा जाता है ठीक इसके विपरीत सत्ता सुख का दूसरा नाम आवाम का दुःख। कुर्सी पर बैठा व्यक्ति अंतत: यही चाहता है कि, ‘प्रलय आ जाय परन्तु कुर्सी ना जाय’. हिंदी पंचांग के अनुसार नए संवतसर की शुरुआत हो रही है. ज्ञानसागरटाइम्स परिवार की ओर से आप सभी पाठकों को रंगों व उमंगों भरी होली के साथ नव वर्ष विक्रम संवत 2083 की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं.

Is Indrasana another name for the pleasure of power…?

Indrasana means the throne of the king of gods, which once symbolized heaven… today it has become synonymous with politics. The game of gods and demons to attain Indrasana is centuries old. The pleasure of power is the same Indrasana, where a person attains divinity upon sitting on it. Even in modern times, the love for the chair is prevalent; the situation is such that people even dream of the chair and smilingly say, “Oh sir… the real joy of life is the chair.”

According to mythology, Indra was afraid of losing his throne. If his throne even slightly faltered, he would flee to the Trinity. A similar situation exists today. The main reason for Indra’s fear was penance, whereas in today’s times, dissatisfaction within the opposition or the coalition. In both cases, the foundation of happiness rests on fear. The pleasure of power is that “Somras” (sweet nectar) that, after tasting, makes everyone living in its shadow appear like “Narada.”

Just as Indra sat on the throne, the dance and music of Menaka, Rambha, and other apsaras were freely available. Similarly, upon ascending the “chair,” the apsaras were replaced by files and red lights. Indra had Airavata, but today those occupying the chair have white cars and expensive projects that often prove to be white elephants. Once Indra’s court was the court of Indra, but now it is called the temple of democracy, where crowds of supporters gather, and music is replaced by slogans of “Zindabad.”

Indra was the king of the gods and possessed the power of the “Vajra,” and the power of the modern day is the investigative agencies. As soon as he sits on the chair, the public’s memory becomes blurred, and even promises made on the election platform become “poetic ornaments.”

In the past, Indra used all sorts of measures to disrupt the meditation of sages and saints, and even today, those in power, enjoying the pleasures of power, continue to raise new issues to distract the public from fundamental issues. The irony of Indra’s throne today is that, to enjoy the pleasures of power, the public rents it for five years, but the real joy of power lies in the chair itself. The rest of the public is content with newspaper headlines and TV debates.

Power is called Indra’s throne, but the opposite of it is the public’s sorrow. Ultimately, the person sitting on the chair wishes, “May the apocalypse come but not lose the chair.” According to the Hindi calendar, the new Samvatsara is beginning.
