पद्मिनी एकादशी…

सत्संग की समाप्ति के बाद भक्तों ने महाराज जी से पूछा कि, महाराज जी पुरुषोत्तम मास के कृष्ण पक्ष में जो एकादशी होती है, उस एकादशी के व्रत की महिमा व विधि के बारे में बताएं. सुना है कि इस एकादशी व्रत का पालन कुबेर ने भी किया था जिससे प्रसन्न होकर भगवान शिव ने कुबेर को धनाध्यक्ष का पद दे दिया.

वाल व्यास सुमनजी महाराज कहते है कि, अधिकमास या यूँ कहें की पुरुषोत्तम मास बड़ा ही पवित्र और पावन महीना होता है. इस महीने में किये गये व्रत और पूजा-पाठ का फल अलौकिक होता है. महाराज जी कहते हैं कि, एक तो पुरुषोत्तम मास के शुक्ल पक्ष में जो एकादशी होती है उसे पद्मिनी एकादशी के नाम से जानते हैं. महाराज जी कहते हैं कि, अधिकमास के स्वामी स्वयं भगवान विष्णु (पुरुषोत्तम) हैं, इसलिए इस एकादशी की महत्ता सामान्य एकादशियों से कहीं अधिक मानी गई है. इस बार यह एकादशी का व्रत 27 मई 2026 दिन मंगलवार को रखा जाएगा. जो भी भक्त सच्चे मन या हृदय से भक्तिपूर्वक व्रत करता है उस पर बांके बिहारी लाल की कृपा बनी रहती है और उसे सभी प्रकार की निधियां और दुर्लभ सिद्धियाँ भी प्राप्त हो जाती है. महाराज जी कहते हैं कि, यह एकादशी नि:संतान दंपत्तियों के लिए अमूल्य मानी जाती है. इस व्रत को करने से व्यक्ति को समाज में यश, कीर्ति और शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त होती है. 

पूजन सामाग्री: –

वेदी, कलश, सप्तधान, पंच पल्लव, रोली, गोपी चन्दन, गंगा जल, दूध, दही, गाय के घी का दीपक, सुपाड़ी, शहद, पंचामृत, मोगरे की अगरबत्ती, ऋतू फल, फुल, आंवला, अनार, लौंग, नारियल, नीबूं, नवैध, केला और तुलसी पत्र व मंजरी.

व्रत विधि: –

सबसे पहले आपको एकादशी के दिन सुबह उठ कर स्नान करना चाहिए और व्रत का संकल्प लेना चाहिए. उसके बाद भगवान विष्णु की मूर्ति या चित्र की स्थापना की जाती है. उसके बाद भगवान विष्णु की पूजा के लिए धूप, दीप, नारियल और पुष्प का प्रयोग करना चाहिए. अंत में भगवान विष्णु के स्वरूप का स्मरण करते हुए ध्यान लगायें, उसके बाद विष्णु सहस्त्रनाम का पाठ करके, कथा पढ़ते हुए  विधिपूर्वक पूजन करें. ध्यान दें…. एकादशी की रात्री को जागरण अवश्य ही करना चाहिए, दुसरे दिन द्वादशी के दिन सुबह ब्राह्मणो को अन्न दान व दक्षिणा देकर इस व्रत को संपन्न करना चाहिए.

विशेष: – एकादशी के दिन भगवान मधुसुदन को पंचामृत से स्नान कराते हुए इस मन्त्र को जरुर बोलना चाहिए.

मंत्र: –

।। एकादश्यां निराहार: स्थित्वाहमपरेअहनि, भोक्ष्यामि पुण्डरीकाक्ष शरणं मे भवाच्युत।।

कथा: –

त्रेतायुग के प्रतापी राजा कृतवीर्य और उनकी पत्नी पद्मिनी से जुड़ी है. संतान प्राप्ति की कामना से राजा और रानी ने कठोर तपस्या की, लेकिन उन्हें सफलता नहीं मिली. तब माता अनुसूया के परामर्श पर रानी पद्मिनी ने मलमास के शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी का अत्यंत कठिन व्रत किया. इस व्रत के प्रभाव से भगवान विष्णु प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने वरदान स्वरूप उन्हें एक ऐसा पुत्र दिया, जो तीनों लोकों में अजय हो. इसी व्रत के पुण्य से महाप्रतापी कार्तवीर्य अर्जुन (सहस्रार्जुन) का जन्म हुआ, जिसने आगे चलकर रावण को भी बंदी बना लिया था.

एकादशी का फल: –

एकादशी प्राणियों के परम लक्ष्य, भगवद भक्ति, को प्राप्त करने में सहायक होती है. यह दिन प्रभु की पूर्ण श्रद्धा से सेवा करने के लिए अति शुभकारी एवं फलदायक माना गया है. इस दिन व्यक्ति इच्छाओं से मुक्त हो कर यदि शुद्ध मन से भगवान की भक्तिमयी सेवा करता है तो वह अवश्य ही प्रभु की कृपापात्र बनता है.

Padmini Ekadashi…

After the satsang concluded, devotees asked Maharaj Ji to explain the significance and method of observing the Ekadashi fast that occurs during the Krishna Paksha of Purushottam month. It is said that even Kubera observed this Ekadashi fast, and pleased with this, Lord Shiva bestowed upon him the position of treasurer.

Val Vyas Sumanji Maharaj states that Adhikmas or, to be more precise, Purushottam Mas is an exceptionally sacred and holy month. The spiritual merits derived from the fasts and worship performed during this month are truly transcendental. Maharaj Ji further explains that the Ekadashi that falls during the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) of Purushottam Mas is known as Padmini Ekadashi. Maharaj Ji says that Lord Vishnu (Purushottam) himself is the ruler of Adhik Maas, and therefore, this Ekadashi is considered more significant than other Ekadashis. This Ekadashi fast will be observed on Tuesday, May 27, 2026. Any devotee who observes the fast with a true heart and devotion is blessed by Banke Bihari Lal and receives all kinds of treasures and rare accomplishments. Maharaj Ji says that this Ekadashi is considered invaluable for childless couples. Observing this fast brings fame and glory in society, and victory over enemies.

Worship materials: –

Altar, Kalash, Saptdhan, Panch Pallav, Roli, Gopi Chandan, Ganga water, milk, yogurt, cow ghee lamp, betel nut, honey, Panchamrit, Mogra incense sticks, seasonal fruits, flowers, Amla, pomegranate, cloves, coconut, lemon, Navaidh, banana, and Tulsi leaves and buds.

Fasting Method: –

First, you should wake up early on Ekadashi morning, bathe, and take a vow to fast. An idol or picture of Lord Vishnu is then installed. Then, incense, a lamp, a coconut, and flowers should be used to worship Lord Vishnu. Finally, meditate while remembering Lord Vishnu’s form. Then, recite the Vishnu Sahasranama and perform the ritualistic worship while reading the story. Note: A vigil should be observed on the night of Ekadashi. The next day, on Dwadashi, the fast should be concluded by donating food and offering Dakshina to Brahmins.

Special:   – On Ekadashi, this mantra should be recited while bathing Lord Madhusudan with Panchamrit.

Mantra: –

“Ekadashyaam Nirahara: Sthivahamapareahni, Bhokshyaami Pundarikaksha Sharanam Me Bhavachyut.”

Story: –

This is related to the powerful King Kartavirya of Treta Yuga and his wife Padmini. The king and queen performed rigorous penance to have a child, but were unsuccessful. Then, on the advice of Mother Anusuya, Queen Padmini observed the extremely difficult Ekadashi fast of the bright fortnight of the month of Malmas. Pleased with the effect of this fast, Lord Vishnu blessed her with a son who would be invincible in all three worlds. The virtue of this fast led to the birth of the mighty Kartavirya Arjuna (Sahasrarjuna), who later captured even Ravana.

Ekadashi’s Benefits: –

Ekadashi helps all beings attain the ultimate goal of devotion, God. This day is considered highly auspicious and fruitful for serving the Lord with complete devotion. On this day, if one, free from desires and serving the Lord with a pure heart, is devoted to Him, one is sure to receive His blessings.
