1. सितारेहिंद शिवप्रसाद:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1895 में सितारेहिंद शिवप्रसाद का निधन हुआ था.
2. राजमाता महारानी गायत्री देवी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1919 में जयपुर राजघराने की राजमाता महारानी गायत्री देवी का जन्म लंदन में हुआ था. राजकुमारी गायत्री देवी के पिता राजकुमार जितेन्द्र नारायण कूचबिहार (बंगाल) के युवराज के छोटे भाई थे, वहीं माता बड़ौदा की राजकुमारी इंदिरा राजे थीं.पहले शांतिनिकेतन, फिर लंदन और स्विट्ज़रलैंड में शिक्षा ग्रहण करने के पश्चात इनका इनका विवाह जयपुर के महाराजा सवाई मानसिंह (द्वितीय) से हुआ. वॉग पत्रिका द्वारा कभी दुनिया की दस सुंदर महिलाओं में गिनी गईं राजमाता गायत्री देवी राजनीति में भी सक्रिय थीं. वर्ष 1962 में चक्रवर्ती राजगोपालाचारी द्वारा स्थापित स्वतंत्र पार्टी की उम्मीदवार के रूप में जयपुर संसदीय क्षेत्र से समूचे देश में सर्वोच्च बहुमत से चुनाव में विजयी होने का गौरव प्राप्त किया. गायत्री देवी के राजनीतिक सफर में कष्ट भी सहना पड़ा,आपातकाल के दौरान वे दिल्ली के तिहाड़ जेल में बंद थीं.
3. साहित्यकार अन्नाराम सुदामा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1923 में राजस्थानी भाषा के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार अन्नाराम सुदामा का जन्म बीकानेर (राजस्थान) में हुआ था. उन्होंने एम.ए. तक शिक्षा ग्रहण की थी और पेशे से वो एक साधारण शिक्षक और प्रतिभा में असाधारण कथाकार थे. उनकी प्रसिद्ध उपन्यास आंधी और आस्था थी.सुदामा ने हिन्दी में अनेक उपन्यास लिखे. इनमें जगिया की वापसी, आंगन-नदियां, अजहुं दूरी अधूरी, अलाव तथा बाघ और बिल्लियां प्रमुख हैं.रूणिया बड़ा बास में इस बालक के जन्म के समय अच्छा जमाना हुआ तो अकाल से पीड़ित अन्न की किल्लत भुगत रहे परिजनों ने नाम अन्नाराम रख दिया जबकि स्कूल में गुरूजन की सुदामा के नाम की उपमा से बाद नाम के पीछे सुदामा जुड़ गया.
4. पुरातत्त्ववेत्ता राखालदास बंद्योपाध्याय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1930 में प्रसिद्ध भारतीय इतिहासकार तथा पुरातत्त्ववेत्ता राखालदास बंद्योपाध्याय का निधन हुआ था.
5. मलयालम भाषा के लेखक, पटकथा लेखक, फिल्म निर्माता और निर्देशक पद्मराजन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1945 में मलयालम भाषा के लेखक, पटकथा लेखक, फिल्म निर्माता और निर्देशक पद्मराजन का जन्म जन्म ओनट्टुकारा, एलेप्पी में हरीपाद के निकट मुथुकुलम में हुआ था. मुथुकुलम में प्रारंभिक स्कूली शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के बाद, उन्होंने एम.जी. कॉलेज एवं यूनिवर्सिटी कॉलेज, तिरुवनंतपुरम में अध्ययन कर रसायन विज्ञान में स्नातक (1963) की उपाधि प्राप्त की. इसके बाद, उन्होंने विद्वान चेप्पाद अच्युत वारियर से मुथुकुलम में संस्कृत सीखा.इसके बाद उन्होंने आकाशवाणी त्रिचुर में काम किया.उनकी कहानियां छल, हत्या, रोमांस, रहस्य, जुनून, ईर्ष्या, कामुकता, अराजकतावाद, व्यक्तिवाद एवं समाज के परिधीय तत्वों के जीवन का वर्णन करती हैं। उनमें से कुछ मलयालम साहित्य में सर्वश्रेष्ठ मणि जाती हैं. उनकी पहली उपन्यास नक्षत्रंगले कावल थी जिसके लिए वर्ष 1972 में केरल साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार भी मिला था. उन्होंने मलयालम सिनेमा में कुछ ऐतिहासिक चलचित्रों का निर्माण भी किया.
6. ‘रुस्तम-ए-ज़मां‘: – आज ही के दिन गामा पहलवान का निधन आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1960 में हुआ था.
7. मिसाइल पृथ्वी-2: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में भारत ने सतह से सतह पर मार करने वाली मिसाइल पृथ्वी-2 का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया.
8. समुद्री अपहर्ताओं:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में सोमालिया के समुद्री अपहर्ताओं ने भारतीय कर्मियों वाला जहाज़ छोड़ा.
9. बिना विवाह किये महिला और पुरुष का एक साथ रहना अपराध नहीं माना: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2010 में मुख्य न्यायाधीश के०जी० बालाकृष्णन की अध्यक्षता में भारत के उच्चतम न्यायालय की तीन सदस्यीय खंडपीठ ने बिना विवाह किये महिला और पुरुष का एक साथ रहना अपराध नहीं माना.
10. नक्सली आंदोलन के जनक कानू सान्याल: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2010 में भारतीय नक्सली आंदोलन के जनक कानू सान्याल ने आत्महत्या कर जान दी थी.
11. कामरेड चन्द्रबली सिंह: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2011 में हिन्दी के सुप्रसिद्ध मार्क्सवादी आलोचक, संगठनकर्ता और विश्व कविता के अनुवादकों में शुमार कामरेड चन्द्रबली सिंह का निधन 87 वर्ष की आयु में बनारस में हुआ था.
12. स्पेस शटल RVL-TD: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2016 में इसरो ने श्रीहरिकोटा(आंध्र प्रदेश) स्पेस सेंटर से भारत में बने स्पेस शटल RVL-TD को लॉन्च किया.

1. Sitarehind Shivprasad:- Sitarehind Shivprasad passed away on this day in the year 1895.
2. Rajmata Maharani Gayatri Devi:- On this day in the year 1919, Rajmata Maharani Gayatri Devi of the Jaipur royal family was born in London. Princess Gayatri Devi’s father, Prince Jitendra Narayan, was the younger brother of the Crown Prince of Cooch Behar (Bengal), while her mother was Princess Indira Raje of Baroda. After receiving her education first at Shantiniketan, then in London and Switzerland, she was married to Maharaja Sawai Mansingh of Jaipur ( Second). Rajmata Gayatri Devi, once counted among the ten beautiful women of the world by Vogue magazine, was also active in politics. In the year 1962, as a candidate of the Swatantra Party founded by Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, got the distinction of winning the election from the Jaipur parliamentary constituency with the highest majority in the entire country. Gayatri Devi had to face hardships in her political journey, she was imprisoned in Delhi’s Tihar Jail during the Emergency.
3. Writer Annaram Sudama:- On this day in the year 1923, the famous writer of the Rajasthani language Annaram Sudama was born in Bikaner (Rajasthan). He did M.A. He was educated till then and by profession he was an ordinary teacher and an extraordinary storyteller in talent. His famous novels were Aandhi and Aastha. Sudama wrote many novels in Hindi. Among these Jagiya’s return, courtyard-rivers, Ajhun distance incomplete, bonfire, and tigers and cats are prominent. At the time of the birth of this child in Runia Bada Bas, there was a good time, then the family members who were suffering from food shortage due to famine named him Annaram whereas Sudama was added to the name after the teacher’s name of Sudama in the school.

Malayalam language writer, screenwriter, film producer, and director Padmarajan:- On this day in the year 1945, Malayalam language writer, screenwriter, film producer, and director Padmarajan was born at Muthukulam near Haripad in Onattukara, Alleppey Was. After receiving his early schooling in Muthukulam, he attended M.G. Studied at the College and University College, Thiruvananthapuram, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (1963). Thereafter, he learned Sanskrit from the scholar Cheppad Achyut Warrier in Muthukulam. He then worked in All India Radio Trichur. His stories deal with deceit, murder, romance, mystery, passion, jealousy, sexuality, anarchism, individualism, and the lives of the fringe elements of society. describes. Some of them are considered the best in Malayalam literature. His first novel was Nakshatrangale Kaval, for which he also received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in the year 1972.
