Rash Bihari Bose Jayanti
The birth anniversary of Rash Bihari Bose is celebrated every year on 25 May. Rash Bihari Bose was an Indian revolutionary who played an important role in the Indian independence struggle against the British Raj. He is particularly known for the bomb attack on the Viceroy of India, Lord Harding, in Delhi in 1912.
Due to the risk of being captured by the British, Rash Bihari Bose moved to Japan in 1915, where he continued his efforts to mobilize support and cooperation for the Indian freedom struggle. In Japan, he founded the Indian Independence League and subsequently handed over the command of this organization to Subhas Chandra Bose (to whom he was unrelated), which ultimately led to the formation of the Azad Hind Fuji.
He made a significant contribution to mobilizing international support for Indian independence while living in exile in Japan. On his birth anniversary, various events are organized in India such as educational seminars, book exhibitions, and cultural programs to remember his contributions and sacrifices.
