भगवान सूर्य देव…

पौराणिक धार्मिक ग्रंथों के अनुसार ,भगवान सूर्य समस्त जीव-जगत के आत्मस्वरूप और अखिल सृष्टि के आदि कारण भी हैं. भगवान सूर्य के माता-पिता हैं, महर्षि कश्यप और अदिति. अदिति के पुत्र होने के कारण ही उनका एक नाम आदित्य एवम् पैतृक नाम के आधार पर वे काश्यप के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए.

।।ॐ घृणि सूर्य आदित्य ॐ ।।

भगवान सूर्य की पूजा में विशेष महत्व होता है अर्घ्य-दान का. अगर साधक प्रतिदिन प्रात:काल रक्तचन्दनादि, ताम्रपात्र में जल, लाल चन्दन, चावल, रक्तपुष्प और कुशादि रखकर सूर्यमन्त्र का जप करते हुए भगवान सूर्य को अर्ध्य देना चाहिए. अर्ध्यदान से प्रसन्न होकर भगवान सूर्य आयु, आरोग्य, धन-धान्य, यश, विद्या, सौभाग्य, मुक्ति- प्रदान करते हैं.

।।ॐ एहि सूर्य सहस्त्रांशो तेजोराशे जगत्पते।।

।।अनुकम्पय माँ भक्त्या गृहाणार्घ्यं दिवाकर है।।

भगवान सूर्य की पत्नी का नाम संज्ञा है जो भगवान विश्वकर्मा की पुत्री है. संज्ञा के दो पुत्र और एक कन्या हुई- श्राद्धदेव,वैवस्तमनु और यमराज  तथा यमुनाजी. संज्ञा भगवान सूर्य के तेज़ को सहन नहीं कर पाती थी इसीलिए उसने अपनी छाया उनके पास छोड़ दी और स्वयं तप करने लगी. छाया से शनैश्चर, सावर्णि मनु और तपती नामक कन्या हुई. भगवान सूर्य को अचेतन रहने के कारण उन्हें “मार्तण्ड” भी कहा जाता है, उनका एक नाम ‘हिरण्यगर्भा’ भी है.

भगवान सूर्य ग्रहों और नक्षत्रो के स्वामी भी है और अपनी चाल की विभिन्न गतियों से चलते हुए समयानुसार दिन, नक्षत्र, महीने और साल बदलते रहते हैं. ज्योतिष के अनुसार सूर्य सबसे तेजस्वी, प्रतापी और सत और तमो गुण वाला ग्रह कहा गया है. यह आत्मा का कारक और हृदय या यूँ कहें कि, नाड़ी संस्थान का अधिपति माना जाता है. उन्हें सत्व गुण का माना जाता है और वे आत्मा, राजा, ऊंचे व्यक्तियों या पिता का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं. पौराणिक काल में सूर्य को आरोग्य देवता भी माना जाता था, सूर्य की किरणों में कई रोगों को नष्ट करने की क्षमता पायी गयी. ऋषि-मुनियों ने अपने अनुसन्धान के क्रम में किसी खास दिन इसका प्रभाव में पाया कि, छठ पर्व के दिन सूर्य की किरणों में रोगाणुओं के मारने की क्षमता अधिक होती है. भगवान कृष्ण के पौत्र शाम्ब को कुष्ठ रोग हो गया था और  इस रोग से मुक्ति के लिए विशेष सूर्योपासना की गयी, जिसके बाद शाम्ब को कुष्ठ रोग ठीक हो गया.

धार्मिक व पौराणिक ग्रंथों में ऐसे कई कहानियाँ मौजूद हैं. भगवान सूर्य की पूजा करने से जीवन में सकारात्मकता का संचार होता है साधक को नई ऊर्जा प्राप्त होती है. साधक के जीवन से निराशा दूर कर नई रौशनी का संचार होती है.

According to mythological religious texts, Lord Surya is the self-form of the entire living world and also the original cause of all creation. The parents of Lord Surya are Maharishi Kashyap and Aditi. Due to being the son of Aditi, he became famous as Kashyap on the basis of one of his names Aditya’s ancestral name.

Arghya-donation has special importance in the worship of Lord Surya. If a seeker should offer Ardhya to Lord Surya by chanting Surya Mantra every morning by keeping Raktchandnadi, water, red sandalwood, rice, Raktpushp, and Kushadi in a copper vessel. Pleased with the donation, Lord Surya bestows life, health, wealth, food, fame, education, good fortune, and liberation.

The name of the wife of Lord Surya is Sandhya who is the daughter of Lord Vishwakarma. Sangya had two sons and a daughter – Shraddhadev, Vaivastamnu and Yamraj and Yamunaji. Sangya could not bear the effulgence of Lord Sun, so she left her shadow with him and started doing penance herself. From Chhaya, a daughter named Shanashchar, Savarni Manu, and Tapti were born. Lord Surya is also called “Martand” because of his unconsciousness, he also has the name ‘Hiranyagarbha’.

Lord Sun is also the lord of planets and constellations and keeps on changing the days, constellations, months, and years according to the time, moving at different speeds of his movement. According to astrology, Sun is said to be the most stunning, majestic planet with Sat and Tamo qualities. It is considered the causative agent of the soul and the ruler of the heart or rather, the Nadi Sansthan. They are considered to be of sattva guna and they represent the soul, king, high persons, or father. In the mythological period, the sun was also considered a god of health, the rays of the sun were found to have the ability to destroy many diseases, the sages, and sages, in the course of their research, found its effect on a particular day that, on the day of Chhath festival, the rays of the sun It has more ability to kill germs. Shamb, the grandson of Lord Krishna, had got leprosy and special Suryapasana was done to get rid of this disease, after which Shamb was cured of leprosy.

There are many such stories in religious and mythological texts. By worshiping Lord Surya, there is the communication of positivity in life, the seeker gets new energy. New light is transmitted by removing the disappointment from the life of the seeker.
