भारतीय संस्कृति जितनी पुरानी है उतनी ही पुरानी यहां क़ी शिक्षा व्यवस्था है. एक समय था जब पढ़ने के लिये बच्चे गुरुकुल जाया करते थे. माता-पिता व सगे-सम्बन्धियों से दूर रहकर विद्या अध्ययन करते थे. समय के विकास के साथ-साथ पढ़ाई क़ी व्यवस्था में भी परिवर्तन होता रहा.
देश क़ी आजादी के पहले जब अंग्रेजो की शासन व्यवस्था थी तब यहाँ स्कूल-कॉलेज व विश्विद्यालय का निर्माण हुआ और नई व्यस्था के तहत पढाई होने लगी. देश की आजादी के बाद स्कूल-कॉलेज व विश्विद्यालय सरकार के दिशा-निर्देशन में चलने लगी, साथ क्रिशचन मैनोरीटी ने भी स्कूल खोले और वहां पर अंग्रेजी भाषा पर जोर देते हुये स्कूलों में पढाई होने लगी. एक तरफ सरकारी स्कूल-कॉलेज व विश्विद्यालयों में शिक्षकों का मानसिक व शारीरिक दोहन होने लगा जिसके कारण स्कूल-कॉलेज व विश्विद्यालयों से शिक्षक पढाई से दूर होने लगे वहीं दूसरी तरफ क्रिशचन स्कूल के साथ-साथ प्राइवेट स्कूल भी खुलने लगे और बच्चों को शिक्षा मिलने लगी.
वर्तमान समय में स्कूल के नाम से ही माता-पिता के माथे पर पसीना आ जाता है. आज बच्चों को स्कूल में नामांकन के नाम पर अभिभावकों को कई टेस्ट में पास होना पड़ता है तब जाकर बच्चे का नामंकन किसी अच्छे स्कूल में होता है. आलम ये है कि, वर्तमान समय मेँ बच्चे क़ी पढ़ाई कैसी होगी इस बात क़ी गारंटी कोई भी स्कूल नहीं देता है लेकिन बच्चों के अभिभावकों को अपने बच्चे को पढ़ाना किसी जंग जीतने से भी दुष्कर काम बनता जा रहा है. वर्तमान समय में बच्चे की कुल वजन से ज्यादा उनका बस्ता या यूँ कहें कि स्कूल बैग ही भारी होता है. स्कूल बैग उठाकर बच्चे कई गंभीर बीमारियों के शिकार हो रहें हैं.
वर्तमान समय में स्कूल के प्रबन्धक बच्चों को पढ़ाने के बजाय अभिभावक को परेशान करने के नये नये बहाने खोजने में पूरा साल बर्वाद करते हैं. एक समय था जब बच्चो के पांव मेँ चप्पल और किताब नहीं होती थी फिर भी बच्चे पढ़कर ऊंचे पदों पर आसीन होती थे वहीं वर्तमान समय में बेरोजगारों की फौज बढती जा रही है. दूसरी तरफ स्कूल प्राइवेट हो या सरकारी बच्चे टेक्स्टबुक से दूर हो रहें हैं शिक्षा की खाई बढती जा रही है. बच्चे फेल हो पास इससे स्कूल के प्रबन्धक को कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता है पर बच्चों के अभिभावक इस बात से परेशान ज्यादा होते हैं कि कहीं उनका बच्चा फेल ना हो जाय और उसका कैरियर ना छुट जाय.
कहा जाता है कि 20वीं सदी रोबैटिक सदी है. इस सदी में वर्तमान समय के भारत में एक शब्द का प्रचलन बहुत तेजी से हो रहा है वो शब्द है मौल. मौल का वास्तविक अर्थ होता है ‘दूकान’ जहाँ हर तरह के समान एक ही छत के नीचे उपलब्ध हों. वर्तमान समय में देश के स्कूलों में नये-पुराने बच्चो का नामांकन चल रहा है. एक जंग जीतने के बाद जब अभिभावक बच्चों का नामंकन करता है तब उसे दूसरी जंग जीतने को कहा जाता है. वर्तमान समय में स्कूल प्रबन्धक शिक्षा से जुडी या यूँ कहें कि उससे संबंधित दूकान खोल कर बैठे हैं आप अपने बच्चों का नामंकन जिस स्कूल में करवाते हैं उस स्कूल की ही दूकान से समान खरीदे वर्ना आपके बच्चे क्लास रूम का मुंह भी नहीं देख पायेंगें…? अगर आप स्कूल प्रबन्धन का यह भी डिमांड पूरी कर दिए तब आपको 12 महीनों के नाश्ते की डाईट टेबल मिलती है जिसके अनुसार ही नाश्ता सर्व करें ….अन्यथा बच्चे के साथ आपको भी टॉर्चर से गुजरना पड़ेगा.
वर्तमान समय में स्कूल प्रबंधन पढ़ाने के बजाय मानसिक शारीरिक के साथ धन उगाही की संस्था बन गई है जो अभिभावको को मानसिक कुठाराघात कर रहें है? आज स्कूल स्कूल ना होकर बनिए क़ी दुकान में तब्दील होता जा रहा है. जहाँ हम सभी अपने नौनिहालों के सुंदर जीवन की परिकल्पना कर अच्छे भविष्य की तलाश में शिक्षित होने के लिए भेजते है पर वहाँ अच्छे ख्बाव दिखाकर धोखा ही दिया जाता है….?
एक समय था सरस्वती क़ी आराधना क़ी जाती थी और आज सरस्वती को खरीदा जाता है वहीं देश चलाने वाले कर्ण धाराओं क़ी बात करें तो यह एक मुद्दा है जिसे ढोल क़ी तरह पीटा जाता है लेकिन धूल झोंकने के बजाय और कुछ नहीं होता है. प्रबंधन क़ी मनमानी के शिकार अभिभावक सिसक सिसक कर जीने को विवश हैं चुकिं आज स्कूल… स्कूल ना होकर मौल में तब्दील हो गया है.
साइंस स्टूडेंट सर्किल के डाइरेक्टर डॉ० अमरेन्द्र कुमार सिन्हा कहते है कि, आजकल के बच्चे संस्कार छोड़ते जा रहे है. डॉ० सिन्हा अपने बीते दिनों की बात याद करते हुये कहते हैं कि, जब हमलोग पढ़ते थे उस वक्त शिक्षक को देखकर सहसा ठिठक जाते थे और बड़े ही श्रद्धा और आदर के साथ शिक्षक को चरण स्पर्श करते थे लेकिन वर्तमान समय में आज के बच्चों में ये आदर भाव समाप्त हो गया है और वे संस्कार से दूर हो गये हैं. स्कूल एज ए मौल पर कहते हैं कि, आजकल स्कूल ब्रांडेड होते जा रहे हैं वहां गलैमरस टीचर होते हैं और शिक्षा भी गलैमरस बनती जा रही है. डॉ० सिन्हा कहते हैं कि, स्कूल को ब्रांडेड ना बनाकर वहां अच्छी शिक्षा देनी चाहिये. वो कहते हैं कि ब्रांडेड ना होकर ब्रेन एडेड होना चाहिये. डॉ० सिन्हा कहते हैं कि, स्कूल ब्रांडेड होते जा रहे है और बच्चे संस्कार व संस्कृति से दूर होते जा रहे है. ये जो खाई बनती जा रही है वो नहीं बननी चाहिये. ये आने वाले समय के लिये ठीक नहीं है. स्कूल का मतलब होता है विद्या का मंदीर लेकिन वर्तमान समय में यह मंदीर की संस्कृति और संस्कार से दूर हो रहे है जो बच्चों के लिये उचित नहीं है.
