पंडित देवीदीन जो सनेथू गांव अयोध्या के रहने वाले थे, जिनका जन्म सर्यूपारीण ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ था। वो एक कर्मकांडी पुरोहित थे लेकिन जब मुग़ल सेना श्रीराममंदिर को ध्वस्त करने के उद्देश्य से अयोध्या की ओर बढ़ी तब देवीदीन पाण्डे ने पुरोहित का कार्य त्यागकर आसपास के ब्राह्मणों व क्षत्रियों को लेकर बाबर सेना के खिलाफ युद्ध लड़ने के लिए हथियार उठा लिया और मीर बाकी के नेतृत्व वाली मुगल सेना से युद्ध किया।ये युद्ध इतना विकराल था की युद्ध करते समय पण्डित जी ने 700 मुगलों को अपने हाथों से काट डाला। एक मुगल सैनिक ने पण्डित जी के पीछे आकर तलवार से ऐसा वार किया कि वह तलवार पण्डित जी का ऊपरी सर काटते हुए आर-पार हो गई और उनका सिर दो भागों में फट कर खुल गया। लेकिन उन्होंने अपने गमछे से सर को बांधकर लड़ाई लड़नी शुरू कर दी और अंत में मुगल सैनिकों द्वारा एक के बाद एक किये गए वार से वे काफी घायल हुए और वहीं पर वीरगति को प्राप्त हुए !
सेनापति देवीदीन के वीरगति प्राप्त हो जाने के बाद मुगल सेना जीत गई ! पण्डित जी ने अपने जीवित रहते श्रीराममंदिर को आंच नहीं आने दी। इतिहासकार कनिंघम अपने ‘लखनऊ गजेटियर’ के 66वें अंक के पृष्ठ 3 पर लिखता है कि 1,74,000 हिन्दुओं की लाशें गिर जाने के पश्चात मीर बाकी राममंदिर ध्वस्त करने के अभियान में सफल हुआ।
किसको गलतफहमी है कि ब्राह्मण हथियार उठाने में कमजोर है!!!मैं प्रत्यक्ष उदाहरण हूँ, धर्मरक्षण हेतु जीवन समर्पित है और जिसने मृत्यु का वरण किया उसके समक्ष टिकना असंभव तो नहीं लेकिन मुश्किल बहुत ही ज्यादा है।

Pandit Devideen who was a resident of Sanethu village Ayodhya was born in a Saryuparin Brahmin family. He was a ritualistic priest, but when the Mughal army moved towards Ayodhya with the aim of demolishing the Ram temple, Pandit Devidin Pandey left the work of the priest and took up arms to fight the war against Babur’s army with the surrounding Brahmins and Kshatriyas and Mir left. He fought with the Mughal army led by. This war was so terrible that while fighting the war, Pandit ji cut 700 Mughals with his own hands. A Mughal soldier came behind Pandit ji and attacked him with a sword in such a way that the sword cut across Pandit ji’s upper head and his head was torn open in two parts. But he started fighting by tying his head with his pot and in the end, he was badly injured by the attacks done by the Mughal soldiers one after the other and got Veergati there!
The Mughal army won after the martyrdom of Senapati Devidin. Pandit ji did not allow the fire to come to Shri Ram Mandir while he was alive. Historian Cunningham writes on page 3 of the 66th issue of his ‘Lucknow Gazetteer’ that after the dead bodies of 1,74,000 Hindus had fallen, Mir succeeded in the campaign to demolish the rest of the Ram temple.
Who has the misconception that Brahmins are weak in lifting weapons!!! I am a direct example, life is dedicated to the protection of religion and it is not impossible to stand in front of the one who chose death, but it is very difficult.
