विजया एकादशी

सत्संग के दौरान एक भक्त ने महाराज जी पूछा कि, महाराजजी फाल्गुन महीने में जो एकादशी होती है उसके बड़े ही महात्यम है. सुना है कि, महाराजजी इस एकादशी को बड़े-बड़े राजा-महाराजा किया करते थे. वालव्याससुमनजीमहाराज कहते है कि जिस तरह से माघ का महिना पवित्र और पावन होता है उसी तरह फाल्गुन का महीना भी पावन और पवित्र होता है. हर महीने में दो एकादशी होती है, इस समय फाल्गुन कृषण पक्ष चल रहा है और इस समय जो एकादशी है उसे विजया एकादशी कहते हैं. त्रेता युग में भगवान रामचन्द्र ने इस एकादशी को करने के बाद ही लंका पर चढाई की और विजय की प्राप्ति हुई. महाराजजी कहते हैं कि, इस एकादशी के बारे में एक बार अर्जुन ने माधव से पूछा कि, हे अचुत्य, हे मुरारी फाल्गुन महीने के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी का महात्यम आपसे जानना चाहता हूँ.

महाराजजी कहते हैं कि, अर्जुन के इस प्रकार अनुनय पूर्वक प्रश्न करने पर भगवान गोविन्द बड़े ही प्रसन्न हुए और भगवान कृष्ण ने अर्जुन से कहा… हे अर्जुन इस एकादशी को करने वाला हमेशा विजयी रहता है. हे अर्जुन तुम हमारे प्रिय सखा (दोस्त) हो, इसलिय ही यह कथा और इसके करने की विधि बता रहा हूँ, इससे पहले देवर्षि नारद ने भगवान ब्रह्मा से इस कथा को सुना था. वर्ष 2023 में यह विजया एकादशी 16 फरवरी को मनाया जायेगा.

व्रत विधि:  –

एकादशी के पूर्व दशमी को रात्री में एक बार ही भोजन करना आवाश्यक है उसके बाद दुसरे दिन सुबह उठ कर स्नान आदि कार्यो से निवृत होने के बाद व्रत का संकल्प भगवान विष्णु के सामने संकल्प लेना चाहिए. उसके बाद भगवान विष्णु की मूर्ति या चित्र की स्थापना करें. भगवान विष्णु की पूजा के लिए धूप, दीप, फल और पंचामृ्त से पूजन करना चाहिए. भगवान विष्णु के स्वरूप का स्मरण करते हुए ध्यान लगायें, उसके बाद विष्णु सहस्त्रनाम का पाठ करके, कथा पढ़ते हुए विधिपूर्वक पूजन करें. ध्यान दें…. एकादशी की रात्री को जागरण अवश्य ही करना चाहिए, दुसरे दिन द्वादशी के दिन सुबह ब्राह्मणो को अन्न दान, जनेऊ व दक्षिणा देकर इस व्रत को संपन्न करना चाहिए.

पूजन सामाग्री: –

वेदी,कलश,सप्तधान,पंच पल्लव,रोली, गोपी चन्दन, गंगा जल, दूध, दही, गाय के घी का दीपक, सुपाड़ी, मोगरे की अगरबत्ती, ऋतू फल, फुल, आंवला, अनार, लौंग, नारियल, नीबूं, नवैध, केला और तुलसी पत्र व मंजरी.

कथा: –

त्रेतायुग की बात है भगवान श्री रामचन्द्र जी जो भगवान विष्णु के अंशावतार थे अपनी पत्नी सीता को ढूंढते हुए सागर तट पर पहुंचे. सागर तट पर भगवान का परम भक्त जटायु नामक पक्षी रहता था. उस पक्षी ने बताया कि, सीता माता को सागर के पार लंका नगरी का राजा रावण ले गया है और, माता इस समय आशोक वाटिका में हैं. जटायु द्वारा सीता का पता जानकर श्रीरामचन्द्र जी अपनी वानर सेना के साथ लंका पर आक्रमण की तैयारी करने लगे, परंतु सागर के जल जीवों से भरे दुर्गम मार्ग से होकर लंका पहुंचना  बहुत ही कठिन था.

भगवान श्रीराम इस अवतार में मर्यादा पुरूषोत्तम के रूप में दुनिया के सामने उदाहरण प्रस्तुत करना चाहते थे, अत: आम आदमी की भांति चिंतित हो गये. जब उन्हें सागर पार जाने का कोई मार्ग नहीं मिल रहा था तब, उन्होंने लक्ष्मण से पूछा, कि हे लक्ष्मण इस सागर को पार करने का कोई उपाय मुझे सूझ नहीं रहा है, अगर तुम्हारे पास कोई उपाय है तो बताओ? श्री रामचन्द्र जी की बात सुनकर लक्ष्मण बोले प्रभु आपसे तो कोई भी बात छिपी नहीं है, आप स्वयं सर्वसामर्थवान है, फिर भी मैं कहूंगा कि यहां से आधा योजन दूर परम ज्ञानी वकदाल्भ्य मुनि का निवास हैं हमें, उनसे ही इसका हल पूछना चाहिए.

भगवान श्रीराम लक्ष्मण समेत वकदाल्भ्य मुनि के आश्रम में पहुंचे और उन्हें प्रणाम करके अपना प्रश्न उनके सामने रखा. मुनिवर ने कहा, हे राम, आप अपनी सेना समेत फाल्गुन मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी का व्रत रखें, इस एकादशी के व्रत से आप निश्चित ही समुद्र को पार कर रावण को पराजित कर देंगे. श्री रामचन्द्र जी ने तब उक्त तिथि के आने पर अपनी सेना समेत मुनिवर के बताये विधान के अनुसार एकादशी का व्रत रखा और सागर पर पुल का निर्माण कर लंका पर चढ़ाई की. जिसके बाद राम और रावण का युद्ध हुआ जिसमें रावण मारा गया और लंका पर विजय हासिल की.

एकादशी का फल: –

एकादशी प्राणियों के परम लक्ष्य, भगवद भक्ति, को प्राप्त करने में सहायक होती है. यह दिन प्रभु की पूर्ण श्रद्धा से सेवा करने के लिए अति शुभकारी एवं फलदायक माना गया है. इस दिन व्यक्ति इच्छाओं से मुक्त हो कर यदि शुद्ध मन से भगवान की भक्तिमयी सेवा करता है तो वह अवश्य ही प्रभु की कृपापात्र बनता है.

Vijaya Ekadashi-2024…

During the Satsang, a devotee asked Maharaj ji that, Maharajji, the Ekadashi that is held in the month of Phalgun has great significance. It has been heard that Maharajji used to celebrate this Ekadashi with big kings and emperors. Walvyassumanji Maharaj says that the way the month of Magha is holy and holy, similarly the month of Falgun is also holy and holy. There are two Ekadashi every month, at this time Falgun Krishna Paksha is going on and the Ekadashi which is at this time is called Vijaya Ekadashi. In Treta Yug, Lord Ramchandra marched on Lanka only after observing this Ekadashi and got a victory. Maharajji says that once Arjuna asked Madhav about this Ekadashi, O Achutya, O Murari, I want to know from you the importance of the Ekadashi of the Krishna Paksha of Falgun month.

Maharajji says that Lord Govind was very pleased when Arjuna asked such a persuasive question and Lord Krishna said to Arjuna… O Arjuna, the one who observes this Ekadashi is always victorious. Hey Arjun, you are our dear friend, that’s why I am telling this story and the method to do it before this Devarshi Narad had heard this story from Lord Brahma. In the year 2023, this Vijaya Ekadashi will be celebrated on 16 February.

Fasting method: –

Before Ekadashi, it is necessary to have food only once in the night on Dashami, after waking up in the morning on the second day after taking bath, etc., the vow of fasting should be taken in front of Lord Vishnu. After that establish the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu. To worship Lord Vishnu, worship should be done with incense, lamp, fruits, and Panchamrit. Meditate while remembering the form of Lord Vishnu, after that recite Vishnu Sahastranam and worship it methodically while reciting the story. Pay attention… Jagran must be done on the night of Ekadashi, on the second day of Dwadashi, this fast should be completed by giving food donations, Janeu, and Dakshina to Brahmins.

Worship material: –

Vedi, Kalash, Saptadhan, Panch Pallav, Roli, Gopi sandalwood, Ganga water, milk, curd, the lamp of cow’s ghee, betel nut, incense sticks of mogre, seasonal fruits, flowers, amla, pomegranate, cloves, coconut, lemon, illegal, Banana and Tulsi leaves and Manjari.

Story: –

It is a matter of Tretayug that Lord Shri Ramchandra ji, who was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, reached the ocean coast in search of his wife Sita. A bird named Jatayu, the supreme devotee of God, lived on the sea coast. That bird told that Ravana, the king of the city of Lanka, has taken mother Sita across the ocean and mother is currently in Ashok Vatika. Knowing the address of Sita by Jatayu, Shri Ramchandra ji along with his monkey army started preparing to attack Lanka, but it was very difficult to reach Lanka through the difficult path full of water creatures of the ocean.

Lord Shri Ram wanted to set an example in front of the world in the form of Maryada Purushottam in this incarnation, so he got worried like a common man. When he could not find any way to cross the ocean, he asked Laxman, O Laxman, I am not able to find any way to cross this ocean, if you have any solution then tell me? After listening to Shri Ramchandra ji, Laxman said, Lord, nothing is hidden from you, you are all-powerful, yet I would say that the abode of Param Gyan Vakdalbhya Muni is half a scheme away from here, we should ask the solution from him only.

Lord Shri Ram along with Lakshman reached Vakdalbhya Muni’s ashram and after saluting him put his question in front of him. Munivar said, O Ram, you along with your army keep a fast on the Ekadashi of the Krishna Paksha of Falgun month, by fasting on this Ekadashi you will cross the ocean and defeat Ravana. Shri Ramchandra ji then, on the arrival of the said date, along with his army, kept a fast on Ekadashi as per the law told by Munivar and built a bridge over the ocean, and marched on Lanka. After this, there was a war between Rama and Ravana in which Ravana was killed and conquered Lanka.

Results of Ekadashi: –

Ekadashi helps in achieving the ultimate goal of living beings, devotion to God. This day is considered very auspicious and fruitful to serve the Lord with full devotion. On this day, if a person frees himself from desires and does devotional service to God with a pure heart, then he becomes blessed by God.
