भारतीय पॉप कल्चर में शेफाली जरीवाला की अलग पहचान है. वर्ष 2002 में रिलीज हुआ रीमिक्स गाना “कांटा लगा” ने उन्हें रातोंरात स्टार बना दिया. शेफाली ने अपने कैरियर में कई हिंदी संगीत वीडियो, रियलिटी शो और फिल्मों में काम किया. शेफाली जरीवाला का 27 जून 2025 को 42 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया, जिसकी वजह कथित तौर पर कार्डियक अरेस्ट बताई जा रही है.
शेफाली जरीवाला का जन्म 15 दिसंबर 1982 को मुंबई में हुआ था. उन्होंने सरदार पटेल कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग से सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी (Information Technology) में स्नातक की डिग्री हासिल की थी. इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई के दौरान ही उन्हें मनोरंजन की दुनिया में कदम रखने का मौका मिला, जिसने उनके जीवन की दिशा बदल दी.
शेफाली ने वर्ष 2000 के दशक की शुरुआत में संगीत वीडियो में काम करना शुरू किया. लेकिन वर्ष 2002 में रिलीज हुए रीमिक्स गाने “कांटा लगा” ने उन्हें रातोंरात स्टार बना दिया. इस गाने में उनके बोल्ड लुक और बेहतरीन डांस मूव्स ने उन्हें घर-घर में लोकप्रिय कर दिया और वे तुरंत एक पॉप कल्चर सेंसेशन बन गईं. “कांटा लगा” के बाद, उन्होंने लगभग 10-15 और संगीत एल्बमों में काम किया, जिनमें “स्वीट हनी मिक्स” और “कभी आर कभी पार रीमिक्स” शामिल हैं.
शेफाली जरीवाला ने वर्ष 2004 में संगीतकार जोड़ी मीत ब्रदर्स के हरमीत सिंह से शादी की थी परन्तु वर्ष 2009 में उनका तलाक हो गया. वर्ष 2014 में उन्होंने अभिनेता पराग त्यागी से विवाह किया। शेफाली को मिर्गी की बीमारी थी, जिससे वह 15 साल की उम्र से सफर कर रही थीं.
