दोहा :-
मोहमूल बहु सूल प्रद त्यागहु तम अभिमान।
भजहु राम रघुनायक कृपा सिंधु भगवान।।
वाल्व्याससुमनजीमहाराज श्लोक का अर्थ बताते हुए कहते है कि, मोह ही जिनका मूल है ऐसे अज्ञानजनित, बहुत पीड़ा देने वाले, तमरूप अभिमान का त्याग कर दो और रघुकुल के स्वामी, कृपा के समुन्द्र भगवान् श्रीरामचन्द्रंजी का भजन करो.
चौपाई :-
जदपि कहि कपि अति हित बानी। भगति बिबेक बिरति नय सानी।।
बोला बिहसि महा अभिमानी। मिला हमहि कपि गुर बड़ ग्यानी ।।
महाराजजी श्लोक का अर्थ बताते हुए कहते है कि, यद्यपि हनुमान् जी ने भक्ति, ज्ञान, वैराग्य और नीति से सनी हुई बहुत ही हित की वाणी कही, तो भी वह महान् अभिमानी रावण हँसकर बोला कि हमे यह बंदर बड़ा ज्ञानी गुरू मिला!
मृत्यु निकट आई खल तोही। लागेसि अधम सिखावन मोही।।
उलटा होइहि कह हनुमाना। मतिभ्रम तोर प्रगट मैं जाना ।।
महाराजजी श्लोक का अर्थ बताते हुए कहते है कि, रे दुष्ट ! तेरी मृत्यु निकट आ गई है. रे अधम ! मुझे शिक्षा देने चला है. हनुमान् जी ने कहा – इससे उलटा ही होगा अर्थात् मृत्यु तेरी निकट आई है, मेरी नही. यह तेरा मतिभ्रम ( बुद्धि का फेर ) है, मैने प्रत्यक्ष जान लिया है.
सुनि कपि बचन बहुत खिसिआना। बेगि न हरहुँ मूढ़ कर प्राना।।
सुनत निसाचर मारन धाए। सचिवन्ह सहित बिभीषनु आए ।।
महाराजजी श्लोक का अर्थ बताते हुए कहते है कि, हनुमान् जी के वचन सुनकर वह बहुत ही कुपित हो गया और बोला – अरे ! इस मूर्ख का प्राण शीघ्र ही क्यो नही हर लेते ? सुनते ही राक्षस उन्हे मारने दौड़े उसी समय मंत्रियो के साथ विभीषण जी वहाँ आ पहुँचे.
नाइ सीस करि बिनय बहूता। नीति बिरोध न मारिअ दूता।।
आन दंड कछु करिअ गोसाँई। सबहीं कहा मंत्र भल भाई ।।
महाराजजी श्लोक का अर्थ बताते हुए कहते है कि, उन्होने सिर नवाकर और बहुत विनय करके रावण से कहा कि दूत को मारना नही चाहिए, यह नीति के विरुद्ध है. हे गोसाई. कोई दूसरा दंड दिया जाए. सबने कहा – भाई ! यह सलाह उत्तम है.
सुनत बिहसि बोला दसकंधर। अंग भंग करि पठइअ बंदर ।।
महाराजजी श्लोक का अर्थ बताते हुए कहते है कि, यह सुनते ही रावण हँसकर बोला – अच्छा तो, बंदर को अंग-भंग करके भेज दिया जाए.

Explaining the meaning of the verse, Maharajji says that, although Hanuman ji spoke very beneficial words imbued with devotion, knowledge, disinterestedness, and ethics, that great proud Ravana laughed and said that we found this monkey a very knowledgeable teacher!

Explaining the meaning of the verse, Maharaj Ji says, you rascal! Your death is near. Hey Adham! He has gone to teach me. Hanuman Ji said – It will be the opposite, that is, death has come near you, not mine. This is your hallucination (change of mind), I have come to know directly.

Sunat Nisaachar Maran Dhae। Sachivahinh Sahit Bibheeshnu Aay।।
Explaining the meaning of the verse, Maharajji says that, after hearing the words of Hanuman ji, he became very angry and said – Hey! Why don’t you take the life of this fool soon? On hearing this, the demons ran to kill him, and at the same time Vibhishan ji reached there with the ministers.
Naai Sis Kari Binay Vahuta। Niti Birodh Na Maaria Doota।।
Aan Dand Kachhu Karia Gosaeen। Sabahin Kaha Mantr Bhal Bhai।।
Explaining the meaning of the verse, Maharajji says that, bowing his head and very politely, he told Ravana that the messenger should not be killed, it is against the policy. Hey Gosai. Some other punishment should be given. Everyone said – Brother! This advice is excellent.
Sunat Bihasee Bola Dasakandhar।Ang Bhang Kari Pathai Bandar ।।
Explaining the meaning of the verse, Maharajji says that, on hearing this, Ravana said with a smile – Well, the monkey should be sent away with mutilation.
