1. बंबई उच्च न्यायालय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1862 में बंबई उच्च न्यायालय की स्थापना की गयी थी.
2. राजनीतिज्ञ एस. के. पाटिल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1900 में एस. के. पाटिल का जन्म महाराष्ट्र के रत्नागिरी ज़िले में हुआ था. वर्ष 1920 में जब महात्मा गाँधी ने असहयोग आंदोलन शुरू किया था उस वक्त पाटिल सेंट जेवियर कॉलेज में पढ़ाई कर रहे थे. पाटिल ने कॉलेज छोड़कर असहयोग आंदोलन में भाग लिया। जब महात्मा गाँधी ने आंदोलन वापस लिया तो पाटिल लंदन जाकर अर्थशास्त्र तथा पत्रकारिता की शिक्षा प्राप्त की. पाटिल वर्ष 1922 में भारत वापस आकर ‘बाम्बे क्रानिकल’ नामक एक पत्र में काम किया साथ ही उन्होंने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम और मुंबई नगर निगम के कामों में भी भाग लेते रहे. पाटिल भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में अपनी गतिविधियों के कारण आठ बार गिरफ़्तार हुए और करीब दस वर्षों की जेल की सजा काटी. एस. के. पाटिल ‘कांग्रेस कार्य समिति’ के प्रमुख सदस्य भी थे. वर्ष 1937-46 तक वे मुंबई विधानसभा के सदस्य बने उसके बाद संविधान सभा के भी सदस्य भी बने थे. वर्ष  1952-67 में वे लोक सभा के सदस्य चुने गए और भारत सरकार में सिंचाई, यातायात, विद्युत, खाद्य और कृषि और रेल विभागों के मंत्री रहे थे.
3. लेखक एवं पत्रकार कुलदीप नैयर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1924 में लेखक एवं पत्रकार कुलदीप नैयर का जन्म सियालकोट (अब पाकिस्तान) में हुआ था. नैयर की स्कूली शिक्षा सियालकोट में हुई थी. उन्होंने विधि की डिग्री लाहौर से प्राप्त की और यू. एस. ए. से पत्रकारिता की डिग्री ली. नैयर ने दर्शनशास्त्र में पी-एच. डी. किया था. नैयर ने भारत सरकार के प्रेस सूचना अधिकारी के पद पर कई वर्षों तक कार्य करने के बाद वे यू. एन. आई, पी. आई. बी. ‘द स्टैट्समैनं ‘इण्डियन एक्सप्रेस’ के साथ लम्बे समय तक जुड़े थे.
4. सैयद मुज़फ़्फ़र हुसैन बर्नी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1924 में उड़ीसा कैडर के भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के अधिकारी सैयद मुज़फ़्फ़र हुसैन बर्नी थे.
5. भौतिक विज्ञानी टी. वी. रामकृष्णन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1941 में भौतिक विज्ञानी टी. वी. रामकृष्णन का जन्म मद्रास, तमिलनाडु में हुआ था. उन्होंने वर्ष 1961 में बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय से भौतिकी में एम.एससी पूरा किया था. वर्ष 1961-62 तक टी. वी. रामकृष्णन ने बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय में सीएसआईआर रिसर्च फेलो के रूप में काम किया था. रामकृष्णन ने वर्ष 1966 में पीएच.डी. कोलंबिया विश्वविद्यालय से की थी. रामकृष्णन ने भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, कानपुर में व्याख्याता के रूप में अपने पेशेवर कैरियर की शुरुआत की थी. रामकृष्णन ने इलेक्ट्रॉन स्थानीयकरण के स्केलिंग सिद्धांत में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया साथ ही उन्होंने तरल से ठोस संक्रमण और मिश्रित संयोजकता प्रणालियों के सिद्धांत में भी योगदान दिया था. रामकृष्णन को वर्ष 1983 में ‘शांतिस्वरूप भटनागर पुरस्कार’ और वर्ष 2001 में पद्म श्री से सम्मानित किया गया था.
6. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी केसरी सिंह बारहट:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1941 में राजस्थानी कवि तथा स्वतंत्रता सेनानी केसरी सिंह बारहट का निधन हुआ था.
7. भारत का विभाजन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1947 में भारत का विभाजन हुआ और पाकिस्तान पृथक् राष्ट्र बना था. बताते चलें कि, भारतीय स्वतंत्रता अधिनियम 1947 के अनुसार 15 अगस्त 1947 को भारत व पाकिस्तान नामक दो स्वतंत्र देश बना दिए जाएंगे और ब्रिटिश सरकार उन्हें सत्ता सौंप देगी. इसके बाद 14 अगस्त को पाकिस्तान अधिराज्य बना और 15 अगस्त को भारत गणराज्य की संस्थापना की गई थी.
8. हास्य अभिनेता जॉनी लीवर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1957 में हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के हास्य अभिनेता जॉनी लीवर का जन्म आंध्र प्रदेश के प्रकाशम जिले मे हुआ था. इनका पूरा नाम जॉन प्रकाश राव है. उनके पिता का नाम प्रकाश राव जनमूला जो हिंदुस्तान लीवर फैक्ट्री में काम करते थे. जानी लीवर का जन्म एक बेहद ही गरीब परिवार में हुआ था और पारिवारिक स्थिति को देखते हुए जानी लीवर भी अपने पिता के साथ हिंदुस्तान लीवर फैक्ट्री में काम करने लगे. इसी दौरान उन्हें अपनी कॉमेडी प्रतिभा को निखारने का मौका मिला और खाली समय में अपने को-वर्करस को अपनी कॉमेडी से हँसाते थे. जिस कारण से उनका नाम जॉनी लीवर पड़ गया. जॉनी ने अपनी प्रारम्भिक पढ़ाई आंध्र एजुकेशन सोसाइटी से पूरी की. उनके घर की आर्थिक स्थिति अच्छी ना होने कारण जॉनी सिर्फ सातवीं तक शिक्षा ग्रहण कर सके. जॉनी लीवर ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म ‘दर्द का रिश्ता’ से की थी. जॉनी लिवर सिर्फ बड़े पर्दे पर ही नहीं छोटे पर्दे भी अपने कॉमेडी के जलवे दिखा चुके हैं.
9. क्रिकेटर प्रवीण आमरे:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1968 में क्रिकेटर प्रवीण आमरे का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ था. प्रवीण आमरे ने भारत की राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट टीम के लिए1991-94 तक क्रिकेट खेला था. आमरे ने अपने क्रिकेट कैरियर में कुल 11 टेस्ट क्रिकेट मैच और 37 वनडे मैच खेले थे, इन्होंने टेस्ट क्रिकेट में एक शतक और तीन अर्धशतक भी लगाए थे.
10. राजनीतिज्ञ रामेश्वर तेली:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1970 में राजनीतिज्ञ रामेश्वर तेली का जन्म दुलियाजाना, डिब्रूगढ़, असम में हुआ था. वर्ष 2014 के आम चुनावों में डिब्रूगढ़ निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोकसभा के लिए चुने गए थे. वर्ष 2019 को ‘खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री’ नियुक्त किये गये थे, परन्तु 07 जुलाई, 2021 को प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के मंत्रिमण्डल में विस्तार तथा फेरबदल के बाद उन्हें ‘पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री’ तथा ‘श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री’ बनाया गया है.
11. एडौर्ड गौबर्ट:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1979 में पुदुचेरी राज्य के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री एडौर्ड गौबर्ट का निधन हुआ था.
12. पार्श्व गायिका सुनिधि चौहान:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1983 में पार्श्व गायिका सुनिधि चौहान का जन्म दिल्ली में हुआ था. सुनिधि ने अपनी प्रारंभिक पढ़ाई ब्लूमिंग बड्स पब्लिक स्कूल बलरामपुर यूपी से की है. उसके बाद उन्होंने अपने आगे की ग्रीनवे पब्लिक स्कूल दिलशाद गार्डन दिल्ली से पूरी की थी. सुनिधि ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत महज चार वर्ष की उम्र में कर दी थी. सुनिधि ने कई सिंगिंग बेस्ड रियलिटी शोज़ में हिस्सा लिया. एक बार की बात है टीवी एंकर तब्बसुम ने उनकी गायिकी को देखा, और सुनिधि के माता-पिता को को मुंबई आने के लिए कहा. सुनिधि ने मुंबई आकर दूरदर्शन के सिंगिंग बेस्ड रियलिटी शो ‘मेरी आवाज सुनों’ में हिस्सा लिया और इस शो को जीतकर लता मंगेशकर ट्रॉफी पर कब्ज़ा किया था. सुनिधि ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत रामगोपाल वर्मा की फिल्म मस्त में रुकी रुकी सी जिंदगी गाने से की थी. इस गाने के सुनिधि 14 नॉमिनेशन मिले थे, जिनमे से सुनिधि को 2 फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड 01 जे सिने अवार्ड और दो स्टार स्क्रीन अवार्ड मिला था.
13. कुश्ती खिलाड़ी खाशाबा जाधव:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1984 में भारत के पहले कुश्ती खिलाड़ी खाशाबा जाधव ने हेलसिंकी ओलम्पिक में कांस्य पदक जीता था.
14. दसवें मुख्य न्यायाधीश कैलाश नाथ वांचू:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1988 में भारत के दसवें मुख्य न्यायाधीश कैलाश नाथ वांचू का निधन हुआ था.
15. ऑफ़-रोड मोटर साइकिल रेसर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1995 में भारतीय सर्किट और ऑफ़-रोड मोटर साइकिल रेसर ऐश्वर्या पिस्से का जन्म बेंगलुरु में हुआ था. पिस्से ही पहली भारतीय एथलीट हैं जिन्होंने मोटरसाइकिल पर मोटरस्पोर्ट में विश्व खिताब जीता था.
16. उपन्यासकार अमृतराय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1996 में उपन्यासकार, निबन्धकार, समीक्षक तथा अनुवादक अमृतराय का निधन हुआ था.
17. मुक्केबाज हवा सिंह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2000 में मुक्केबाज हवा सिंह का निधन भिवानी में हुआ था.
18. कीर्ति चक्रप्रदान करने की घोषणा की:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2010 में 64वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर काबुल में शहीद हुए सेना चिकित्सा कोर के मेजर एल ज्योतिन सिंह को अशोक चक्र तथा विनोद चौबे और मेजर दविंद्र सिंह जस को कीर्ति चक्रप्रदान करने की घोषणा किया गया था.
19. अभिनेता शम्मी कपूर :- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2011 में हिन्दी फ़िल्म अभिनेता शम्मी कपूर का निधन मुंबई के ब्रीज कैंडी अस्पताल में हुआ था.
20. राजनीतिज्ञ विलासराव देशमुख:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2012 में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के राजनीतिज्ञ विलासराव देशमुख का निधन चेन्नई में हुआ था.
21. साहित्यकार चंद्रकांत देवताले:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2017 में कवि एवं साहित्यकार चंद्रकांत देवताले का निधन हुआ था.
22. राजनीतिज्ञ बलरामजी दास टंडन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में छत्तीसगढ़ के राज्यपाल बलरामजी दास टंडन का निधन रायपुर, छत्तीसगढ़ में हुआ था.

1. Bombay High Court: – On this day in the year 1862, the Bombay High Court was established.
2. Politician S. Of. Patil: – On this day in the year 1900, S. Of. Patil was born in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. In the year 1920, when Mahatma Gandhi started the non-cooperation movement, Patil was studying at St. Xavier’s College. Patil left the college and participated in the non-cooperation movement. When Mahatma Gandhi called off the movement, Patil went to London to study economics and journalism. Patil returned to India in the year 1922 and worked on a paper called ‘Bombay Chronicle’, as well as continued to participate in the freedom struggle and the works of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Patil was arrested eight times for his activities in the Indian freedom struggle and served a jail term of about ten years. S. Of. Patil was also a key member of the ‘Congress Working Committee’. Till the year 1937-46, he became a member of the Mumbai Legislative Assembly, after that, he also became a member of the Constituent Assembly. In the years 1952-67, he was elected a member of the Lok Sabha and was the Minister of Irrigation, Transport, Power, Food and Agriculture, and Railway Departments in the Government of India.
3. Writer and journalist Kuldeep Nayyar: – On this day in the year 1924, writer and journalist Kuldeep Nayyar was born in Sialkot (now in Pakistan). Nayyar’s schooling was done in Sialkot. He obtained his law degree from Lahore and U.A. S. A. Received a degree in journalism from Nayyar and holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy. D. did. After working for several years as the Press Information Officer of the Government of India, Nayyar moved to the U.K. N. I, P.I.B. ‘The Statesman’ was associated with ‘Indian Express’ for a long time.
4. Syed Muzaffar Hussain Burney:- On this day in the year 1924, Syed Muzaffar Hussain Burney was an Indian Administrative Service officer of Orissa Cadre.
5. Physicist T.V. Ramakrishnan:- On this day in the year 1941, physicist T.V. Ramakrishnan was born in Madras, Tamil Nadu. He completed his M.Sc in Physics in the year 1961 from Banaras Hindu University. Till the year 1961-62, T.V. Ramakrishnan worked as CSIR Research Fellow at Banaras Hindu University. Ramakrishnan did his Ph.D. in the year 1966. from Columbia University. Ramakrishnan started his professional career as a lecturer at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Ramakrishnan made important contributions to the scaling theory of electron localization, as well as the liquid-to-solid transition and the theory of mixed valence systems. Ramakrishnan was awarded the ‘Shantiswaroop Bhatnagar Award’ in the year 1983 and the Padma Shri in the year 2001.
6. Freedom fighter Kesari Singh Barhat:- On this day in the year 1941, Rajasthani poet and freedom fighter Kesari Singh Barhat passed away.
7. Partition of India: – On this day in the year 1947, India was partitioned and Pakistan became a separate nation. Let us tell that, according to the Indian Independence Act of 1947, on 15 August 1947, two independent countries named India and Pakistan will be formed and the British government will hand over the power to them. After this, Pakistan became a dominion on 14 August and the Republic of India was established on 15 August.
8. Comedian Johnny Lever:- On this day in the year 1957, Hindi film comedian Johnny Lever was born in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. His full name is John Prakash Rao. His father’s name is Prakash Rao Janmula who worked in Hindustan Lever Factory. Jani Lever was born in a very poor family and seeing the family situation, Jani Lever also started working with his father in the Hindustan Lever Factory. During this, he got a chance to hone his comedy talent and used to make his co-workers laugh with his comedy in his spare time. Because of this, he got the name Johnny Lever. Johnny completed his early studies at the Andhra Education Society. Due to the poor economic condition of his house, Johnny could study only till the seventh standard. Johnny Lever started his film career with the film ‘Dard Ka Rishta’. Johnny Liver has shown his comedy skills not only on the big screen but also on the small screen.
9. Cricketer Praveen Amre:- On this day in the year 1968, cricketer Praveen Amre was born in Mumbai. Praveen Amre played cricket for the Indian national cricket team from 1991–94. Amre played a total of 11 Test cricket matches and 37 ODIs in his cricket career, he also scored a century and three half-centuries in Test cricket.
10. Politician Rameshwar Teli:- On this day in the year 1970, politician Rameshwar Teli was born in Duliajana, Dibrugarh, Assam. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Dibrugarh constituency in the 2014 general elections. In the year 2019, ‘Minister of State in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries’ was appointed, but after the expansion and reshuffle in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet on July 07, 2021, he was appointed as ‘Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas’ and ‘Labour and Employment’. A Minister of State has been made in the ministry.
11. Edouard Goubert:- On this day in the year 1979, Edouard Goubert, the first Chief Minister of Puducherry State, passed away.
12. Playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan:- On this day in the year 1983, playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan was born in Delhi. Sunidhi did her early education at Blooming Buds Public School Balrampur UP. After that, he completed his next Greenway Public School from Dilshad Garden Delhi. Sunidhi started her career at the age of just four. Sunidhi participated in many singing-based reality shows. Once upon a time TV anchor Tabassum saw her singing, and asked Sunidhi’s parents to come to Mumbai. Sunidhi came to Mumbai and took part in Doordarshan’s singing-based reality show ‘Meri Awaaz Suno’ and won the Lata Mangeshkar trophy. Sunidhi started her film career with the song Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi in Ram Gopal Varma’s film Mast. 15. Off-road motorcycle racer: – On this day in the year 1995, Indian circuit and off-road motorcycle racer Aishwarya Pissay was born in Bangalore. Pissay is the first Indian athlete to win a world title in motorsport on a motorcycle.
