1. पिट्स इंडिया विधेयक:-आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1773 में भारत में प्रशासनिक सुधारों के लिए पिट्स इंडिया विधेयक ब्रिटिश संसद में पेश हुआ था. बताते चलें कि, इस विधेयक का उद्देश्य रेगुलेटिंग एक्ट की कमियों को दूर करना था. इस एक्ट के तहत ब्रिटिश ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी को पहली बार ब्रिटिश सरकार के नियंत्रण में लाया गया था.
2. वीरांगना अहिल्याबाई होल्कर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1795 में वीरांगना अहिल्याबाई होल्कर का निधन हुआ था.
3. अंग्रेज़ी और बंगला भाषा के लेखक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1848 में अंग्रेज़ी और बंगला भाषा के लेखक रमेश चन्द्र दत्त का जन्म कलकत्ता (वर्तमान कोलकाता) में एक कायस्थ परिवार में हुआ था. इनके पिता का नाम इसम चन्द्र दत्त और माता का नाम ठकमणि है. अपनी शिक्षा पूरी करने के बाद इन्होंने इंग्लैंड जाकर ‘आई.सी.एस.’ की परीक्षा पास की और अनेक उच्च प्रशासनिक पदों पर कार्य किया. दत्त ने अंग्रेज़ी भाषा में भारतीय संस्कृत और इतिहास पर 14 स्तरीय ग्रंथों की रचना की.
4. राजनीतिज्ञ गंगाप्रसाद वर्मा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1863 में राजनीतिज्ञ गंगाप्रसाद वर्मा का जन्म उत्तर प्रदेश के हरदोई ज़िले में एक सम्पन्न खत्री परिवार में हुआ था. उन्होंने अरबी और फ़ारसी की शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के बाद वे लखनऊ के केनिंग कॉलेज में भर्ती हुए थे. गंगाप्रसाद पर स्वामी रामतीर्थ का बहुत प्रभाव था साथ ही मालवीय जी, लाला लाजपत राय, एनी बेसेंट आदि से भी वे प्रभावित थे. वर्ष 1883 में ‘एडवोकेट’ नामक द्वि-साप्ताहिक पत्र का सम्पादन करके अपना सार्वजनिक जीवन प्रारम्भ किया था. गंगाप्रसाद आधुनिक लखनऊ नगर के निर्माता भी माने जाते हैं.
5. क्रांतिकारी नरेन्द्र मोहन सेन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1887 में क्रांतिकारी नरेन्द्र मोहन सेन का जन्म ब्रिटिश शासन के दौरान पश्चिम बंगाल के जलपाईगुड़ी में हुआ था.
6. अभिनेत्री वैजयंती माला:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1936 में अभिनेत्री वैजयंती माला का जन्म मद्रास, तमिलनाडु के एक ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम ए. डी. रमन है और माता का नाम वसुंधरा देवी जो तमिल फ़िल्मों की एक प्रमुख नायिका रही हैं. ज्ञात है कि, वैजयंती माला अपनी सफलता का श्रेय अपनी नानी यदुगिरी देवी को देती हैं, जिन्होंने उनका पालन-पोषण करने के साथ उन्हें नृत्य की शिक्षा भी दिलाई जो बाद में उनके कैरियर का आधार बना था. वैजयंती ने पाँच साल की उम्र में पहला स्टेज शो किया था. दक्षिण सिनेमा से हिन्दी सिनेमा में सबसे पहले सफल होने वाली अभिनेत्रियों में वैजयंती माला का नाम सबसे ऊपर आता है. उन्होंने ऐसे मानक स्थापित किए, जिस पर चलकर आज की नायिकाएं खुद को सफल बनाने की कोशिश करती हैं. एक शास्त्रीय नृत्यांगना की छवि के साथ वैजयंती माला ने हिन्दी फ़िल्मों में नायिका के नृत्य को अहम बना दिया साथ ही उन्होंने हिंदी सिनेमा में ऊँचाइयों को छुआ. वैजयंती माला ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म बहार से की थी. वर्ष 1956 में फ़िल्म ‘देवदास’ के लिए पहली बार वैजयंती माला को सर्वश्रेष्ठ सहअभिनेत्री का फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार मिला था.
7. महिला क्रांतिकारी भीकाजी कामा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1936 में महिला क्रांतिकारी भीकाजी कामा का निधन बॉम्बे, ब्रिटिश भारत में हुआ था.
8. भारत में निर्मित पहले विमान हिंदुस्तान ट्रेनर 2: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1951में भारत में निर्मित पहले विमान हिंदुस्तान ट्रेनर 2 ने पहली उड़ान भरी थी. दो सीट वाले इस विमान का भारतीय वायु सेना और नौ सेना के लिए उत्पादन 1953 में शुरू हुआ था.
9. अभिनेत्री योगिता बाली:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1952 में अभिनेत्री योगिता बाली का जन्म महाराष्ट्र के पंजाबी परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम जसवंत और मां का नाम हरदर्शन कौर था साथ ही मशहूर निर्देशक आदित्य राज कपूर और निर्माता कंचन खेतान देसाई योगिता बाली के चचेरे भाई हैं. योगिता ने अपनी शिक्षा कोलकाता विश्वविद्यालय से पूरी की थी. योगिता ने वर्ष 1976 में बॉलीवुड के लोकप्रिय संगीतकार और अभिनेता किशोर कुमार से विवाह कर किशोर कुमार की तीसरी पत्नी बनी थी. वर्ष 1978 में योगिता और किशोर में तलाक हो गया था. उसके बाद योगिता ने वर्ष 1979 में अभिनेता मिथुन चक्रवर्ती से विवाह कर ली थी. योगिता ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1971 में आई फिल्म ‘परवाना’ से की थी और उनकी आखरी फिल्म वर्ष 1989 में रिलीज़ हुई ‘आख़िरी बदला’ थी.
10. राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग विधेयक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1956 में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग विधेयक लोकसभा में विधेयक पारित किया गया था.
11. अभिनेत्री केतकी दवे:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1960 में अभिनेत्री केतकी दवे का जन्म बॉम्बे (मुंबई) में हुआ था.उन्होंने हिंदी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म कल हो ना हो से की थी. उन्होंने 75 से अधिक गुजराती फ़िल्मों में काम किया है.
12. अभिनेत्री अपरा मेहता:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1960 में अभिनेत्री अपरा मेहता का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ था. अपरा ने अपनी पहचान क्योंकि सास भी कभी बहू थी नामक धारावाहिक से बनाई थी.
13. अभिनेत्री अनीता राज:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1962 में अभिनेत्री अनीता राज का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम जगदीश राज खुराना था, जो कि बॉलीवुड के एक मशहूर अभिनेता थे वहीं, अनीता का भाई बॉबी राज जो कि एक पटकथा लेखक हैं और उनकी एक बहन है जिनका नाम रूपा मल्होत्रा है. अनीता ने वर्ष 1986 में फिल्म निर्देशक सुनील हिंगोरानी से विवाह किया था. अनीता ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1982 में फिल्म प्रेम गीत से की थी जो कि बहुत सफल हुई, जिसके बाद वह रातों-रात एक स्टार बन गई थी. उन्होंने फिल्मों के अलावा कई टीवी सीरियलो में भी काम किया है.
14. अभिनेत्री श्रीदेवी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1963 में अभिनेत्री श्रीदेवी का जन्म तमिलनाडु के शिवकाशी में हुआ था. श्रीदेवी के पिता का नाम अय्यप्पन यंगर और उनकी माता का नाम राजेश्वरी यंगर था. श्रीदेवी को बचपन से ही अभिनय से बहुत लगाव था इसी कारण उन्होंने बहुत ही कम उम्र में ही अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म थुनविन से की थी. नन्हीं श्रीदेवी को मलयालम मूवी ‘पूमबत्ता’ (1971) के लिए ‘केरला स्टेट फिल्म अवार्ड’ से सम्मानित किया गया था. श्रीदेवी ने अपने फ़िल्म कैरियर की शुरुआत साल 1979 में हिंदी फिल्म ‘सोलहवां सावन’ से की थी लेकिन, श्रीदेवी को बॉलीवुड में पहचान फिल्म 1983 में आई फिल्म ‘हिम्मतवाला’ से मिली थी. वर्ष 1977 में श्रीदेवी को फिल्म “16 वायथिनइल” के लिए फिल्म फेयर स्पेशल अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया था. श्रीदेवी को वर्ष 2013 में भारत सरकार द्वारा “पद्मश्री” अवार्ड देकर सम्मानित किया गया था.
15. अभिनेता गजानन जागीरदार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1988 में अभिनेता गजानन जागीरदार का निधन मुंबई में हुआ था.
16. सफल परीक्षण:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में भारत ने मल्टी-बैरल रॉकेट लॉन्वर (एमबीआरएल) वीपन सिस्टम पिनाक का सफल परीक्षण किया था.
17. अर्थशास्त्री व रिजर्व बैंक के पूर्व गवर्नर चक्रवर्ती संगराजन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में अर्थशास्त्री व रिजर्व बैंक के पूर्व गवर्नर चक्रवर्ती संगराजन को राज्यसभा के लिए नामित किया गया था.
18. टाटा स्टील:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में विश्व की प्रमुख इस्पात कंपनी टाटा स्टील ने वियतनाम में संयुक्त रूप से इस्पात परिसर के निर्माण के लिए वहाँ की दो प्रमुख कंपनियों के साथ समझौता किया था.

1. Pitt’s India Bill: – On this day in the year 1773, the Pitt’s India Bill was introduced in the British Parliament for administrative reforms in India. 3. English and Bangla language writers: – On this day in the year 1848, English and Bengali language writer Ramesh Chandra Dutt was born in Calcutta (present-day Kolkata) in a Kayastha family. His father’s name is Isam Chandra Dutt and his mother’s name is Thakmani. After completing his education, he went to England and did ‘ICS’. Passed the examination and worked in many high administrative posts. Dutt composed 14 standard texts on Indian Sanskrit and history in the English language.
4. Politician Gangaprasad Verma:- On this day in the year 1863, politician Gangaprasad Verma was born in a prosperous Khatri family in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. After receiving Arabic and Persian education, he was admitted to Canning College in Lucknow. Swami Ramteerth had a lot of influence on Gangaprasad, as well as was influenced by Malviya ji, Lala Lajpat Rai, Annie Besant, etc. In the year 1883, he started his public life by editing a bi-weekly paper named ‘Advocate’. Gangaprasad is also considered the creator of modern Lucknow city.

6. Actress Vyjayanthi Mala:- On this day in the year 1936, actress Vyjayanthi Mala was born in a Brahmin family in Madras, Tamil Nadu. His father’s name is A. D. Raman and his mother’s name is Vasundhara Devi who has been a leading heroine in Tamil films. It is known that Vaijayanti Mala gives the credit for her success to her maternal grandmother Yadugiri Devi, who brought her up and taught her dance, which later became the basis of her career. Vyjayanthi did her first stage show at the age of five. Vyjayanti Mala’s name comes first among the first successful actresses from South cinema to Hindi cinema. 9. Actress Yogita Bali:- On this day in the year 1952, actress Yogita Bali was born in a Punjabi family in Maharashtra. His father’s name was Jaswant and his mother’s name was Hardarshan Kaur, as well as famous director Aditya Raj Kapoor and producer Kanchan Khaitan Desai are Yogita Bali’s cousins.
