1. ताजपोशी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1509 में विजय नगर सम्राज्य के सम्राट के रूप में महाराज कृष्णदेव राय की ताजपोशी हुई थी.
2. राजनीतिज्ञ त्रिभुवन नारायण सिंह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1904 में उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री राजनीतिज्ञ त्रिभुवन नारायण सिंह का जन्म वाराणसी, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ था. उन्होंने महात्मा गाँधी काशी विद्यापीठ से अपनी शिक्षा पूर्ण की थी। बाद में एक सफल शिक्षक के रूप में अपना योगदान दिया था. टी.एन. सिंह पहले से केंद्रीय मंत्री थे, लेकिन उत्तर प्रदेश में सियासत की ऐसी बिसात बिछी कि बिना चुनाव जीते ही टी.एन. सिंह को मुख्यमंत्री की कुर्सी मिल गई थी.
3. गायिका सिद्धेश्वरी देवी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1908 में गायिका सिद्धेश्वरी देवी का जन्म वाराणसी, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम श्याम तथा माता का नाम चंदा उर्फ श्यामा था. जब सिद्धेश्वरी डेढ़ वर्ष की थीं, तब उनकी माता का निधन हो गया था. अतः उनका पालन उनकी नानी मैनाबाई ने किया था. मैनाबाई एक लोकप्रिय गायिका व नर्तकी थीं. सिद्धेश्वरी देवी को पहली बार 17 साल की अवस्था में सरगुजा के युवराज के विवाहोत्सव में गाने का अवसर मिला था.
4. लेखक भीष्म साहनी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1915 में लेखक भीष्म साहनी का जन्म अविभाजित भारत के रावलपिण्डी में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम हरबंस लाल साहनी तथा माता का नाम लक्ष्मी देवी था. भीष्म साहनी की प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा घर पर ही हिन्दी व संस्कृत में हुई थी. उन्होंने स्कूल में उर्दू व अंग्रेज़ी की शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के बाद वर्ष 1937 में ‘गवर्नमेंट कॉलेज’, लाहौर से अंग्रेज़ी साहित्य में एम.ए. किया और फिर वर्ष 1958 में पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय से पी.एच.डी. की उपाधि प्राप्त की थी. देश के विभाजन से पहले भीष्म साहनी ने व्यापार भी किया और इसके साथ ही वे अध्यापन का भी काम करते रहे. साहनी फ़िल्म जगत में भाग्य आजमाने के लिए बम्बई आ गये, जहाँ काम न मिलने के कारण उनको बेकारी का जीवन व्यतीत करना पड़ा था. वर्ष  1957-63 तक विदेशी भाषा प्रकाशन गृह मास्को में अनुवादक के रूप में बिताये. उस दौरान उन्होंने की पुस्तकों का रूपांतरण भी किया था. भीष्म साहनी अपने साहित्य के माध्यम से सामाजिक विषमता व संघर्ष के बन्धनों को तोड़कर आगे बढ़ने का आह्वान करते थे.
5. रावलपिंडी की संधि:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1919 में रावलपिंडी की संधि में ब्रिटेन ने अफ़गानिस्तान को स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र के रूप में मान्यता दी थी.
6. वैज्ञानिक वुलिमिरि रामालिंगस्वामी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1921 में वैज्ञानिक वुलिमिरि रामालिंगस्वामी का जन्म श्रीकाकुलम में हुआ था.
7. क्रिकेटर दिलीप सरदेसाई:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1940 में क्रिकेटर दिलीप सरदेसाई का जन्म गोवा में हुआ था.
8. महिला चिकित्सक लता देसाई:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1941 में गुजरात राज्य की महिला चिकित्सक लता देसाई का जन्म गुजरात में हुआ था. पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद उन्होंने यूएस में अपना कॅरियर शुरू किया। हालाँकि, कुछ वर्षों के बाद महात्मा गांधी और स्वामी विवेकानंद के जीवन और कार्यों से प्रेरित होकर वे कुछ दोस्तों के साथ भारत लौट आए और गुजरात के भरूच जिले के झगड़िया में गैर-लाभकारी सेवा ग्रामीण की स्थापना की.
9. हॉकी टीम के पूर्व सदस्य बलबीर सिंह खुल्लर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1942 में हॉकी टीम के पूर्व सदस्य बलबीर सिंह खुल्लर का जन्म संसारपुर गांव पंजाब में हुआ था. करीब 17 साल की उम्र में ही उन्होंने स्कूल गेम्स को लेकर चयनित हॉकी की इंडिया टीम को बतौर कप्तान लीड किया. उसके बाद उन्होंने पलट कर नहीं देखा और हॉकी के मैदान में हाफ बैक पेनाल्टी स्ट्रोक व कार्नर के जरिए गोल करके संसारपुर का नाम अमर कर दिया.
10. भारत छोड़ो प्रस्ताव:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1942 में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस ने बम्बई (अब मुंबई) सत्र में ‘भारत छोड़ो प्रस्ताव ’ पारित किया था. महात्मा गांधी ने 8 अगस्त 1942 को मुंबई से भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन की शुरुआत की थी. यह आंदोलन अगस्त क्रांति के रूप में जाना जाता है.
11. राजनीतिज्ञ कपिल सिब्बल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1948 में राजनीतिज्ञ कपिल सिब्बल का जन्म जालंधर, पंजाब में हुआ था. पूर्व में भारत सरकार की पंद्रहवीं लोकसभा के मंत्रीमंडल में मानव संसाधन मंत्रालय में मंत्री थे. सिब्बल ने वर्ष 2016 हिंदी फिल्म शोरगुल के लिए गीत “तेरे बिना” और “मस्त हवा” के गीतों को भी लिखा है.
12. क्रिकेटर सुधाकर राव:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1952 में क्रिकेटर सुधाकर राव का जन्म बंगलौर, कर्नाटक में हुआ था.
13. नियंत्रक एवं महालेखा परीक्षक राजीव महर्षि :- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1955 में नियंत्रक एवं महालेखा परीक्षक राजीव महर्षि का जन्म हुआ था. वे पूर्व भारत के गृह सचिव तथा भारत के वित्त सचिव रह चुके हैं. वे 1978 बैच के आईएएस अधिकारी हैं.
14. लोकसभा चुनाव में हार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1967 में आजादी के बाद पहली बार केंद्र सरकार को लोकसभा चुनाव में हार का सामना करना पड़ा था. कांग्रेस को छः राज्यों में हार का सामना करना पड़ा था, जिस कारण कहा जाता है कि इस चुनाव ने कांग्रेस का एकछत्र राज समाप्त कर दिया था.
15. क्रिकेटर अबेय कुरुविला:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1968 में क्रिकेटर अबेय कुरुविला का जन्म हुआ था.
16. राजनीतिज्ञ जॉन बारला:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1975 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के राजनीतिज्ञ जॉन बारला का जन्म लखीपाड़ा, ज़िला जलपाईगुड़ी, पश्चिम बंगाल में हुआ था. मोदी कैबिनेट में जॉन बारला को अल्पसंख्यक मामलों का राज्यमंत्री बनाया गया है. अलीपुरद्वार से बीजेपी सांसद जॉन बारला की कहानी अद्भुत और असाधारण है. कुछ साल पहले तक चाय के बागान में मजदूरी करने वाले जॉन बारला अब केंद्र सरकार में मंत्री हैं.
17. मॉडल नयोनिता लोध:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1993 में मॉडल नयोनिता लोध का जन्म बेंगलुरु में हुआ था. उनकी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा बेंगलुरु से हुई थी. वर्ष 2011 में उन्हें पहला ब्रेक मिला था, जब वो मैक्स मिस बेंगलुरु प्रतियोगिता में सेकंड रनरअप रहीं थीं. नोयोनिता लोध मिस यूनिवर्स वर्ष 2015 कॉन्टेस्ट में टॉप 15 में ही स्थान बना पाईं थीं.
18. वेटलिफ्टर मीराबाई चानू :- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1994 में वेटलिफ्टर मीराबाई चानू का जन्म मणिपुर की राजधानी इम्फाल में हुआ था. उनकी माता का नाम साइकोहं ऊँगबी तोम्बी लीमा है जो पेशे से एक दुकानदार हैं वहीँ इनके पिता का नाम साइकोहं कृति मैतेई है जो PWD डिपार्टमेंट में नौकरी करते हैं. चानू अपने बचपन के दिनों से ही भारत्तोलन में रूचि रखती थी केवल 12 वर्ष की उम्र में ही लकड़ियों के गुच्छे उठाकर अभ्यास किया करती थी. चानू ने 2014 राष्ट्रमण्डल खेल में 48 किग्रा श्रेणी में रजत पदक जीता तथा गोल्ड कोस्ट में हुए 2018 संस्करण में विश्व कीर्तिमान के साथ स्वर्ण पदक जीता था.
19. राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष एस. निजलिंगप्पा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2000 में राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष एस. निजलिंगप्पा का निधन चित्रदुर्ग में हुआ था.
20. भारत को सौंपने से इन्कार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2004 में इटली ने बोफ़ोर्स दलाली मामले के मुख्य आरोपी ओट्टाविया क्वात्रोची को भारत को सौंपने से इन्कार किया था.
21. अलंकरण प्रदान किया गया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2019 में नानाजी देशमुख (मरणोपरांत), डॉ. भूपेन हाजरिका (मरणोपरांत) और श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी को ‘भारत रत्न’ पुरस्कार देने की घोषणा किया गया था.
22. निलंबित किया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2019 में विश्व तीरंदाजी ने भारतीय तीरंदाजी संघ (एएआई) को अपने दिशानिर्देशों का पालन नहीं करने के लिए निलंबित कर दिया था.
23. निशानेबाजी प्रतियोगिता में स्वर्ण पदक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2020 में तेजस्विनी सावंत म्युनिख में आयोजित विश्व निशानेबाजी प्रतियोगिता के 50 मीटर की स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीतने वाली प्रथम भारतीय महिला बनीं थी.
24. अभिनेता अनुपम श्याम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2021 में अभिनेता अनुपम श्याम का निधन मुंबई में हुआ था.

1. Coronation: – On this day in the year 1509, Maharaj Krishnadev Rai was crowned as the emperor of the Vijay Nagar Empire.
2. Politician Tribhuvan Narayan Singh:- On this day in the year 1904, politician Tribhuvan Narayan Singh, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his education from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. Later he contributed as a successful teacher. TN Singh was already a Union minister, but politics in Uttar Pradesh was such that without winning the election, T.N. Singh had got the chief minister’s chair.
3. Singer Siddheshwari Devi:- On this day in the year 1908, singer Siddheshwari Devi was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name was Shyam and his mother’s name was Chanda alias Shyama. When Siddheshwari was one and a half years old, her mother passed away. So he was brought up by his maternal grandmother Mainabai. Mainabai was a popular singer and dancer. Siddheshwari Devi got the opportunity to sing for the first time at the age of 17 in the marriage ceremony of the prince of Surguja.
4. Writer Bhishma Sahni: – On this day in the year 1915, writer Bhishma Sahni was born in Rawalpindi of undivided India. His father’s name was Harbans Lal Sahni and his mother’s name was Lakshmi Devi. Bhishma Sahni’s early education was done at home only in Hindi and Sanskrit. After receiving Urdu and English education in school, he did MA in English Literature from ‘Government College’, Lahore in the year 1937. Did it and then in the year 1958 did Ph.D. from Punjab University. the degree was obtained. Before the partition of the country, Bhishma Sahni also did business and along with this, he continued to work as a teacher. Sahni came to Bombay to try his luck in the film world, where he had to lead a life of unemployment due to the non-availability of work. Spent the year 1957-63 as a translator at Foreign Language Publishing House, Moscow. During that time he also did the adaptation of the books. Bhishma Sahni, through his literature, used to call upon people to move forward by breaking the shackles of social inequality and struggle.
5. Treaty of Rawalpindi: – On this day in the year 1919, in the Treaty of Rawalpindi, Britain recognized Afghanistan as an independent nation.
6. Scientist Vullimiri Ramalingaswamy:- On this day in the year 1921, scientist Vullimiri Ramalingaswamy was born in Srikakulam.
7. Cricketer Dilip Sardesai:- On this day in the year 1940, cricketer Dilip Sardesai was born in Goa.
8. Female doctor Lata Desai:- On this day in the year 1941, Lata Desai, a female doctor of Gujarat state was born in Gujarat. After completing his studies, he started his career in the US. However, after a few years, inspired by the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda, he returned to India with some friends and founded the non-profit Seva Gramin in Jhagadia, Bharuch district of Gujarat.
9. Balbir Singh Khullar, a former member of the hockey team:- On this day in the year 1942, Balbir Singh Khullar, a former member of the hockey team, was born in the village of Sansarpur, Punjab. At the age of 17, he led the selected Indian hockey team as captain for school games. After that, he did not look back and immortalized the name of Sansarpur by scoring goals through a half-back penalty stroke and corner on the hockey field.
10. Quit India Resolution: – On this day in the year 1942, the Indian National Congress passed the ‘Quit India Resolution’ in the Bombay (now Mumbai) session. Mahatma Gandhi started the Quit India Movement on 8 August 1942 from Mumbai. This movement is known as the August Revolution.
11. Politician Kapil Sibal:- On this day in the year 1948, politician Kapil Sibal was born in Jalandhar, Punjab. Formerly, he was a minister in the Ministry of Human Resources in the 15th Lok Sabha cabinet of the Government of India. Sibal also wrote the lyrics for the songs “Tere Bina” and “Mast Hawa” for the 2016 Hindi film Shorgul.
12. Cricketer Sudhakar Rao:- On this day in the year 1952, cricketer Sudhakar Rao was born in Bangalore, Karnataka.
13. Comptroller and Auditor General Rajiv Mehrishi:- On this day in the year 1955, Comptroller and Auditor General Rajiv Mehrishi was born. He has been the former Home Secretary of India and Finance Secretary of India. He is an IAS officer of the 1978 batch.
14. Defeat in the Lok Sabha elections:- On this day in the year 1967, for the first time after independence, the central government had to face defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. The Congress had to face defeat in six states, due to which it is said that this election had ended the monopoly rule of the Congress.
15. Cricketer Abey Kuruvilla:- On this day in the year 1968, cricketer Abey Kuruvilla was born.
16. Politician John Barla:- On this day in the year 1975, Bharatiya Janata Party politician John Barla was born in Lakhipada, District Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. 18. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu:- On this day in the year 1994, weightlifter Mirabai Chanu was born in Imphal, the capital of Manipur. His mother’s name is Saikohan Oongbi Tombi Lima, she is a shopkeeper by profession, while his father’s name is Saikohan Kriti Meitei, who works in the PWD department. Chanu was interested in weightlifting since her childhood, only at the age of 12 she used to practice by lifting bunches of wood. Chanu won a silver medal in the 48 kg category at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and won gold in the 2018 edition at Gold Coast with a world record.
19. National Congress President S. Nijalingappa: – On this day in the year 2000, National Congress President S. Nijalingappa died in Chitradurga.

22. Suspended:- On this day in the year 2019, World Archery suspended the Archery Association of India (AAI) for not following its guidelines.
23. Gold Medal in Shooting Competition:- On this day in the year 2020, Tejaswini Sawant became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal in the 50-meter event of the World Shooting Competition held in Munich.
