1. पहली बार फिंगर प्रिंट का इस्तेमाल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1858 में भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के सर विलियम जेम्स हर्शेल द्वारा पहचान के लिए पहली बार फिंगर प्रिंट का इस्तेमाल किया था.
2. राजनीतिज्ञ कासू ब्रह्मानंद रेड्डी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1909 में राजनीतिज्ञ कासू ब्रह्मानंद रेड्डी का जन्म ब्रिटिश भारत के गुंटूर जिले में तुबाडु (अब आंध्र प्रदेश, भारत) में हुआ था. कासू ब्रह्मानंद रेड्डी भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के राजनीतिज्ञ और आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री भी थे.
3. वेंकुवर से निकाला गया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1914 में एस. एस. कामागातामारू को वेंकुवर से निकाला गया और भारत रवाना कर दिया गया था.
4. राजनीतिज्ञ रामेश्वर ठाकुर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1927 में राजनीतिज्ञ रामेश्वर ठाकुर का जन्म झारखण्ड में गोड्डा ज़िले के ‘ठाकुर गांगटी’ नामक ग्राम में हुआ था. इन्होंने भागलपुर, पटना विश्वविद्यालय में अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा प्राप्त की। उसके बाद ‘कोलकाता विश्वविद्यालय’ से एम.ए. की डिग्री ली और एल.एल.बी. भी किया। रामेश्वर ठाकुर ने ‘इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ़ चार्टर्ड एकाउंटेंट’, नई दिल्ली से एफ़.सी.ए. किया था. ठाकुर ने एक व्याख्याता के रूप में ‘कोलकाता विश्वविद्यालय’ से अपनी सेवाएँ प्रारंभ कीं साथ ही इन्होंने प्रबंध अध्ययन विभाग, दिल्ली में अतिथि प्रोफेसर के रूप में अपने दायित्व का निर्वाहन किया था. ठाकुर ने सक्रियता से ‘भारत छोड़ो आन्दोलन’, 1942 में भाग लिया और संथाल परगना में राजमहल पहाड़ियों में लगभग छह महीने के लिए भूमिगत रहे. ठाकुर ने सामाजिक सुधार के कार्यों में भी पूरी सक्रियता से भाग लिया था, विशेष रूप से संथाल परगना में पुनर्निर्माण गतिविधियों के कार्यों में योगदान दिया. ठाकुर वर्ष  2004 को उड़ीसा के राज्यपाल बनाये गए. उसके बाद वर्ष 2007 तक इन्होंने आंध्र प्रदेश के राज्यपाल का अतिरिक्त कार्यभार ग्रहण किया.
5. तरलोचन सिंह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1933 में तरलोचन सिंह का जन्म झेलम (अब पाकिस्तान) में हुआ था. ज्ञात है कि, दुनिया भर में सिक्ख समुदाय के हक और बेहतरी के लिए जाने जाते है तरलोचन सिंह. उन्होंने पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय, चंडीगढ़ से एम.ए. (अर्थशास्त्र) पूरा किया. वर्ष 1983 से 1987 तक भारत के राष्ट्रपति के प्रेस सचिव के रूप में कार्य किया. उन्होंने वर्ष 1970 में संयुक्त सचिव, विकास, पंजाब मार्कफेड (एशिया का सबसे बड़ा सहकारी संगठन) के रूप में कार्यभार संभाला और वर्ष 1977 तक वहां बने रहे. वर्ष 1977-1980 तक पंजाब सरकार में संयुक्त निदेशक, जनसंपर्क विभाग के रूप में पदभार संभाला.
6. लेखक अनिल जनविजय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1957 में हिन्दी के कवि, लेखक और रूसी तथा अंग्रेज़ी भाषाओं के साहित्य अनुवादक अनिल जनविजय का जन्म बरेली (उत्तर प्रदेश) में एक निम्न-मध्यवर्गीय परिवार में हुआ था. उनकी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा बरेली स्थित केन्द्रीय विद्यालय में हुई थी. वर्ष 1977 में दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से बी.कॉम, फिर हिन्दी में एम. ए. वर्ष 1980 में जवाहर लाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय की रूसी भाषा और साहित्य फेकल्टी में एम०ए० में प्रवेश. वर्ष 1976 में पहली कविता लिखी। वर्ष 1977  में पहली बार साहित्यिक पत्रिका लहर में कविताएँ प्रकाशित हुई थी.
7. चित्रकार सुविज्ञ शर्मा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1957 में चित्रकार सुविज्ञ शर्मा का जन्म जयपुर, राजस्थान, में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम आर. के. शर्मा और माता का नाम मीनाक्षी शर्मा है. उन्होंने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा जयपुर के महाराजा सवाई मान सिंह स्कूल और भारतीय विद्या भवन के विद्याश्रम से प्राप्त की। इसके बाद वे भवानीपुर एजुकेशन सोसाइटी कॉलेज, कोलकाता में स्नातक शिक्षा पूरी करने के लिए गए. उन्होंने सिम्बायोसिस अंतर्राष्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय, पुणे से विदेश व्यापार एवं निर्यात प्रबंधन का अध्ययन भी किया. जब वो सात साल के थे तभी से उन्होंने चित्र बनाना शुरू कर दिए थे. इनका काम ग्रेट इंडियन रीगल कला की विरासत को दर्शाता है, जो कि एक समकालीन शैली में अतीत की विरासत को पुनर्निर्मित करता है. उनकी कृतियाँ भारत के प्रमुख शाही परिवारों के वारिसों के लिए निर्मित की गयी विलासपूर्ण कला और जीवनशैली का एक दुर्लभ नज़ारा दोहराती हैं.
8. राजनीतिज्ञ चारू मजूमदार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1972 में राजनीतिज्ञ चारू मजूमदार का निधन हुआ था. बताते चलें कि, चारू मजूमदार ‘भारतीय कम्यूनिस्ट पार्टी’ की नेता थी. मजूमदार ने ही वर्ष 1967 में सत्ता के विरुद्ध एक नक्सलवादी आन्दोलन की शुरुआत की थी.
9. अभिनेत्री आयशा झुलका:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1972 में अभिनेत्री आयशा झुलका का जन्म श्रीनगर, जम्मू-कश्मीर में हुआ था. आयशा ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म कुर्बान से की थी. आयशा ने मुख्य रूप से हिंदी, ओड़िया, कन्नड़ और तेलुगु फिल्मों में काम किया है. आयशा ने कैरियर में कई बेहतरीन फिल्मों में काम किया है, जिनमे कुर्बान, जो जीता वही सिकंदर, खिलाड़ी, मेहरबान, दलाल, बलमा, वक्त हमारा है, रंग, संग्राम, जय किशन, और फिल्म मासूम शामिल हैं.
10. चौधरी चरण सिंह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1979 में देश के पांचवें प्रधानमंत्री चौधरी चरण सिंह बने थे. चौधरी चरण सिंह भारत के किसान राजनेता थे. उन्होंने अपना संपूर्ण जीवन ग्रामीण परिवेश की मर्यादा में जिया था. उनका कार्यकाल 28 जुलाई 1979 से 14 जनवरी 1980 तक था.
11. अभिनेता धनुष:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1983 में अभिनेता धनुष का जन्म चेन्नई में हुआ था. धनुष का वास्तविक नाम वेंकटेश प्रभु कस्तूरी राजा है. इनके पिता कस्तुरी राजा और भाई सेल्वाराधवन भी एक निर्देशक हैं. धनुष ने अपनी दसवीं तक की पढ़ाई सलियाग्रामम के साथिया मैट्रिकुलेशन स्कूल से पूरी की. उच्च माध्यमिक (12) की पढ़ाई पूरी करने के लिए धनुष अलवारथिरुनगर के सेंट जोन्स मैट्रिकुलेशन स्कूल में दाखिला लिया था. हालांकि किसी कारणवश उस स्कूल से परीक्षा देने में असुविधा होने के कारण उन्होंने चेन्नई के जेआरके मैट्रिकुलेशन स्कूल से उच्च माध्यमिक की परीक्षा दी. धनुष ने अपने भाई, निर्देशक सेलाघन द्वारा दबाव डाले जाने के बाद अभिनय में प्रवेश किया. धनुष ने अपने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरूआत फिल्म ‘थुल्लोवदो इलीमाई’ से हुई थी. वर्ष 2011 में उनका एक गाना  ‘व्हाइ दिस कोलावरी डी’ ने धनुष को रातों रात स्टार बना दिया था.
12. अभिनेत्री हुमा कुरैशी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1986 में अभिनेत्री हुमा कुरैशी का जन्म नई दिल्ली के एक मुस्लिम परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता, सलीम कुरैशी, एक रेस्टोरराइटर हैं, और उनकी माँ, अमीना कुरैशी (एक कश्मीरी), एक गृहिणी है. उन्होंने गार्गी कॉलेज-दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से ऑनर्स के साथ इतिहास में स्नातक की पढ़ाई पूरी की. उन्होंने अपने थिएटर के दिनों में उनसे अभिनय की प्रारंभिक बातें सीखीं. हुमा अपने मॉडलिंग अनुबंध के चलते मुंबई गयी हुई थी, हुमा एक सैमसंग का कमर्शियल ऐड शूट कर रहीं थी, तभी अनुराग ने उनका अभिनय कौशल देखा, और उन्हें अपनी अगली फिल्म के लिए साइन कर लिया था. हुमा की की प्रसिद्ध फिल्में थीं एक थी डायन, गैंग्स ऑफ़ वासेपुर, गैंग्स ऑफ़ वासेपुर 2 डी-डे , बदलापुर, डेढ़ इश्किया, हाईवे, जॉली एल एल बी आदि.
13. सिक्किम के भूतपूर्व प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री काज़ी लेन्डुप दोरजी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2007 में सिक्किम के भूतपूर्व प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री काज़ी लेन्डुप दोरजी का निधन हुआ था.
14. मंत्री स्तरीय बैठक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में निर्गुट देशों की मंत्री स्तरीय बैठक में भाग लेने के लिए भारत के विदेश मंत्री प्रणव मुखर्जी तेहरान रवाना हुए थे.
15. अभिनेता जगदीश राज:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2013 में अभिनेता जगदीश राज का निधन हुआ था.
16. लेखिका महाश्वेता देवी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2016 में लेखिका महाश्वेता देवी का निधन कोलकाता में हुआ था.
17. अभिनेता इंद्र कुमार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2017 में अभिनेता इंद्र कुमार का निधन मुंबई में हुआ था.
18. 21वीं सदी का सबसे लंबा चंद्र ग्रहण:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में 21वीं सदी का सबसे लंबा चंद्र ग्रहण सुबह 3 बजकर 50 मिनट पर समाप्त हो गया. बताते चलें कि, यह ग्रहण कल यानी 27 जुलाई 2018 से रात के 11बजकर 54 मिनट से लगना शुरू हुआ था.
19. प्रणाम योजना:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में असम सरकार ने सरकारी कर्मचारियों के माता-पिता और दिव्यांयग भाई-बहनों की देखभाल सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रणाम योजना को शुरूआत की घोषणा की है. यह योजना 02 अक्टूबर 2018 से शुरू की जाएगी।
20. हैपेटाइटिस नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में भारत सरकार ने हैपेटाइटिस दिवस पर नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय वायरल हैपेटाइटिस नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की थी. बताते चलें कि, विश्व हेपेटाइटिस दिवस के अवसर पर माननीय एचएफएम द्वारा ‘राष्ट्रीय वायरल हेपेटाइटिस नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम’ शुरू किया गया था, जिसका उद्देश्य हेपेटाइटिस से निपटना और वर्ष 2030 तक देश भर में हेपेटाइटिस सी का उन्मूलन करना, संक्रमित आबादी, रुग्णता और मृत्यु दर में उल्लेखनीय कमी लाना था.
21. अंतर्राष्ट्रीय य फिल्मी समारोह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में लॉस एंजिलिस में आयोजित तीसरे लव अंतर्राष्ट्रीय य फिल्म समारोह में असमी फिल्म होइखोबोते धेमाली ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ फिल्म का पुरस्कार जीता साथ ही फदीपानिता शर्मा को सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री और अनुराग सैकिया को सर्वश्रेष्ठ संगीतकार का पुरस्कार दिया गया था.
22. मेघालय के भूतपूर्व दसवें मुख्यमंत्री डोनकुपर रॉय:-आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2019 में मेघालय के भूतपूर्व दसवें मुख्यमंत्री डोनकुपर रॉय का निधन हुआ था.
23. बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी नंदू नाटेकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2021 में बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी नंदू नाटेकर का निधन पुणे में हुआ था.

1. Use of fingerprint for the first time: – On this day in the year 1858, for the first time, the fingerprint was used for identification by Sir William James Herschel of the Indian Administrative Service.
2. Politician Kasu Brahmananda Reddy:- On this day in the year 1909, politician Kasu Brahmananda Reddy was born in Tubadu (now Andhra Pradesh, India) in the Guntur district of British India. Kasu Brahmananda Reddy was an Indian National Congress politician and also the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
3. Removed from Vancouver:- On this day in the year 1914, S. S. Kamagatamaru was evacuated from Vancouver and sent to India.
4. Politician Rameshwar Thakur:- On this day in the year 1927, politician Rameshwar Thakur was born in the village ‘Thakur Gangti’ of Godda district in Jharkhand. He received his early education at Bhagalpur, Patna University. After that M.A. from ‘Kolkata University’. degree and L.L.B. Did it too. Rameshwar Thakur has done FCA from ‘The Institute of Chartered Accountants, New Delhi. did. Thakur started his services as a lecturer at the ‘The University of Calcutta’, as well as he performed his duties as a visiting professor at the Department of Management Studies, Delhi. Thakur actively participated in the ‘Quit India Movement’, in 1942 and remained underground for about six months in the Rajmahal hills in Santhal Pargana. Thakur also actively participated in the works of social reform, especially contributing to the work of reconstruction activities in Santhal Pargana. Thakur was made the Governor of Orissa in the year 2004. After that till the year 2007, he took the additional charge of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
5. Tarlochan Singh:- On this day in the year 1933, Tarlochan Singh was born in Jhelum (now in Pakistan). It is known that Tarlochan Singh is known worldwide for the rights and betterment of the Sikh community. He did his M.A. from Panjab University, Chandigarh. (Economics) completed. Worked as the Press Secretary to the President of India from 1983 to 1987. He took over as Joint Secretary, Development, Punjab Markfed (Asia’s largest cooperative organization) in the year 1970 and remained there till the year 1977. From 1977-1980 held the post of Joint Director, Public Relations Department in the Government of Punjab.

Writer Anil Janvijay:- On this day in the year 1957, Hindi poet, writer, and literary translator of Russian and English languages, Anil Janvijay was born in Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) in a lower-middle-class family. His early education was done in Kendriya Vidyalaya located in Bareilly. B.Com from Delhi University in the year 1977, then M.A. in Hindi. Admission to M.A. in Russian Language and Literature Faculty of Jawaharlal Nehru University in the year 1980. Wrote the first poem in the year 1976. For the first time in the year 1977, poems were published in the literary magazine Lehar.
7. Painter Suvigya Sharma:- On this day in the year 1957, painter Suvigya Sharma was born in Jaipur, Rajasthan. His father’s name is R. Of. Sharma and his mother’s name is Meenakshi Sharma. He did his schooling at the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh School in Jaipur and the Vidyashram of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. After this, he went to Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata to complete his graduation. He also studied Foreign Trade and Export Management at Symbiosis International University, Pune.
