- दिल्ली का सुल्तान:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1489 में बहलोल लोदी की मृत्यु के बाद, सिकंदर लोदी दिल्ली सल्तनत और लोदी वंश के दूसरे शासक बने. उनके बचपन का नाम निजाम खान था, लेकिन सत्ता संभालने के बाद उन्होंने अपना नाम बदलकर “सुलतान सिकंदर शाह” रख लिया था.
- बेगम आबिदा अहमद:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1923 में भारत के पाँचवें राष्ट्रपति फ़ख़रुद्दीन अली अहमद की पत्नी बेगम आबिदा अहमद का जन्म उत्तर प्रदेश के हरदोई ज़िले में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम मुहम्मद सुल्तान हैदर ‘जोश’ था, जो ब्रिटिश हुकूमत की सिविल सर्विस में थे. आबिदा बेगम ने ‘अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय’ (ए.एम.यू.) से स्नातक की उपाधि प्राप्त की थी. बेगम आबिदा का विवाह भारत के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति फ़ख़रुद्दीन अली अहमद से 9 नवम्बर, वर्ष 1945 को हुआ था। विवाह के समय फ़ख.रुद्दीन अली अहमद इनसे उम्र में काफ़ी बड़े थे। उनकी उम्र 40 वर्ष थी, जबकि आबिदा बेगम मात्र 22 वर्ष की थीं. आबिदा बेगम ने अपने राजनीतिक सफर के अंतर्गत कांग्रेस इं के टिकट पर बरेली, उत्तर प्रदेश की सीट से लोकसभा का उपचुनाव जीता और वर्ष 1981 में सांसद निर्वाचित हुईं थी.
- गृह विभाग की समिति के सदस्य अलेक्जेन्डर मडीमैन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1928 में उत्तर प्रदेश के राज्यपाल, गवर्नर जनरल की गृह विभाग की समिति के सदस्य अलेक्जेन्डर मडीमैन का निधन हुआ था.
- स्वतंत्रता सेनानी गोविन्द बल्लभ पंत:-आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1937 में उत्तर प्रदेश के पहले मुख्यमंत्री एवं स्वतंत्रता सेनानी गोविन्द बल्लभ पंत को ‘संयुक्त प्रान्त’ के पहले मुख्यमंत्री बने थे. बताते चलें कि, 17 जुलाई 1937 से लेकर 02 नवम्बर 1939 तक वे ब्रिटिश भारत में संयुक्त प्रान्त अथवा यू०पी० के पहले मुख्यमन्त्री बने थे. इसके बाद दोबारा उन्हें यही दायित्व फिर सौंपा गया और वे 01अप्रैल 1946से 15 अगस्त 1947 तक संयुक्त प्रान्त (यू०पी०) के मुख्यमन्त्री रहे. जब भारतवर्ष का अपना संविधान बन गया और संयुक्त प्रान्त का नाम बदल कर उत्तर प्रदेश रखा गया तो फिर से तीसरी बार गोविन्द बल्लभ पंत को मुख्यमन्त्री बने थे.
- फ़्लाइंग ऑफिसर निर्मलजीत सिंह सेखों:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1943 में परमवीर चक्र सम्मानित भारतीय सैनिक फ़्लाइंग ऑफ़िसर निर्मलजीत सिंह सेखों का जन्म रूरका गाँव, लुधियाना, पंजाब में हुआ था. भारतीय वायु सेना से परमवीर चक्र के एकमात्र विजेता फ़्लाइंग ऑफ़िसर निर्मलजीत सिंह सेखों ने वर्ष 1971 में पाकिस्तान के विरुद्ध लड़ते हुए उस युद्ध में वीरगति पाई, जिसमें भारत विजयी हुआ और पाकिस्तान से टूट कर उसका एक पूर्वी हिस्सा, बांग्लादेश के नाम से स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र बन गया. उस समय निर्मलजीत सिंह श्रीनगर वायु सेना के हवाई अड्डे पर मुस्तैदी से तैनात थे और नेट हवाई जहाजों पर अपने करिश्मे के लिए निर्मलजीत सिंह उस्ताद माने जाते थे.
- तुफान में फंसकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1947 में भारतीय यात्री जहाज रामदास मुम्बइ के पास तुफान में फंसकर डूब गया, जिसमें 625 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी.
- नागरिक सेवाओं में पात्र घोषित:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1948 में देश की महिलाओं को भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा और भारतीय पुलिस सेवा समेत किसी भी तरह की नागरिक सेवाओं में पात्र घोषित किया गया था.

- अभिनेता रवि किशन शुक्ला:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1971 में अभिनेता रवि किशन शुक्ला का जन्म हुआ था. उत्तर-प्रदेश के जौनपुर में हुआ था. असली नाम रविंद्रनाथ शुक्ला है. उनके पिता का नाम पंडित श्यामा नारायण शुक्ला और माता का नाम जड़ावती देवी है. वह एक बेहद ही गरीब ब्राह्मण परिवार से ताल्लुक रखते हैं. उनके पिता गांव में पुजारी थे. रवि किशन एक उम्दा कलाकार हैं जो टेलीविजन, हिंदी और भोजपुरी सिनेमा में काम करते हैं. उन्होंने बिग बॉस में भाग लिया था. रवि किशन की अपकमिंग फिल्म बाटला हाउस जो कि बॉलीवुड फिल्म है.
