1. अलगाववादी आंदोलन शुरू हुए:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1657 में मुगल शासक शाहजहां के अचानक बीमार पड़ने से उनके राज्य में कई जगह अलगाववादी आंदोलन शुरू हुए थे.
2. दलीप सिंह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1838 में पंजाब के महाराज रणजीत सिंह का सबसे छोटा पुत्र दलीप सिंह का जन्म लाहौर में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम महाराजा रणजीत सिंह और माता का नाम रानी ज़िन्दाँ था. दलीप सिंह को वर्ष 1843 ई. में नाबालिग अवस्था में अपनी माँ रानी ज़िन्दाँ की संरक्षकता में राजसिंहासन पर बैठाया गया था.
3. फ़िल्म निर्माता यश जौहर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1929 में फ़िल्म निर्माता यश जौहर का जन्म अमृतसर, पंजाब, ब्रिटिश भारत में एक पंजाबी परिवार में हुआ था. जौहर ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1962 में सुनील दत्त के प्रोडक्शन हाउस अजंता आर्ट्स से शुरू किया था. जौहर ने वर्ष 1976 में, जौहर ने अपना खुद का बैनर, धर्मा प्रोडक्शंस लॉन्च किया साथ ही पहले फिल्म दोस्ताना को बनाया जो सुपरहिट रही.
4. क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी देवांग गांधी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1971 में क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी देवांग गांधी का जन्म भावनगर, गुजरात में हुआ था.
5. उस्ताद अलाउद्दीन खान:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1972 में उस्ताद अलाउद्दीन खान का निधन हुआ था.
6. अभिनेत्री शरगुन मेहता:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1988 में अभिनेत्री शरगुन मेहता का जन्म चंडीगढ़ में हुआ था. शरगुन की प्रारम्भिक  शिक्षा “सेक्रेड हार्ट कान्वेंट स्कूल”, और “माउंट कारमेल स्कूल” से की थी. उसके बाद शरगुन “बिसनेस मैनेजमेंट” में मास्टर की डिग्री के लिए चली गयी परन्तु शरगुन ने अभिनय में  कैरियर बनाने के लिए पढ़ाई को बीच में ही छोड़ दिया. शरगुन ने वर्ष 2009 में “जी टीवी” के शो “१२/२४ करोल बाग़” से अपने टेलीविज़न कैरियर की शुरुआत की थी. उन्होंने वर्ष 2015 में पंजाबी फिल्म “अंग्रेज़” से अपना पंजाबी फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत की थी.
7. अभिनेत्री ऐश्वर्या लक्ष्मी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1990 में अभिनेत्री ऐश्वर्या लक्ष्मी का जन्म त्रिवेंद्रम (केरल) में हुआ था. लक्ष्मी ने अपनी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा होली एंजल कॉन्वेंट त्रिवेंद्रम और सेक्रेड हार्ट कॉन्वेंट गर्ल्स हायर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, त्रिशूर से की थी. उन्होंने 2017 में श्री नारायण इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज (एसएनआईएमएस), एर्नाकुलम से एमबीबीएस की डिग्री पूरी की थी. लक्ष्मी मुख्य रूप से मलयालम सिनेमा और तमिल सिनेमा में सक्रिय हैं. लक्ष्मी ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 2017 में मलयालम फिल्म से डेब्यू किया था.
8. सैनिक मेजर धन सिंह थापा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2005 में परमवीर चक्र सम्मानित भारतीय सैनिक मेजर धनसिंह थापा का निधन हुआ था.
9. पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरचरण सिंह बराड़:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2009 में पंजाब के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरचरण सिंह बराड़ का निधन हुआ था.
10. विश्व की सर्वाधिक जगमग सीमा रेखा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2011 में नासा के वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा रेखा सुरक्षा के लिए सीमा पर लगाई गई फ्लड लाइटों के कारण अंतरिक्ष से दिखाई देने वाली विश्व की सर्वाधिक जगमग सीमा रेखा है.
11. समलैंगिक यौन संबंधों को अपराध की श्रेणी से बाहर किया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में उच्चतम न्यायालय ने परस्पर सहमति से वयस्कों के बीच समलैंगिक यौन संबंधों को अपराध की श्रेणी से बाहर किया था.

2. Dalip Singh: – On this day in the year 1838, Dalip Singh, the youngest son of Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab, was born in Lahore. His father’s name was Maharaja Ranjit Singh and his mother’s name was Rani Zinda. Dalip Singh was placed on the throne in the year 1843 as a minor under the guardianship of his mother Rani Zindan.
3. Filmmaker Yash Johar:- On this day in the year 1929, filmmaker Yash Johar was born in a Punjabi family in Amritsar, Punjab, British India. Johar started his film career in 1962 with Sunil Dutt’s production house Ajanta Arts. In the year 1976, Johar launched his own banner, Dharma Productions, and also made the first film Dostana which was a superhit.
4. Cricketer Devang Gandhi:- On this day in the year 1971, Cricketer Devang Gandhi was born in Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
5. Ustad Allauddin Khan:- On this day in the year 1972, Ustad Allauddin Khan passed away.
6. Actress Shargun Mehta: – On this day in the year 1988, actress Shargun Mehta was born in Chandigarh. Shargun did his primary education at “Sacred Heart Convent School” and “Mount Carmel School”. After that Shargun went for a master’s degree in “Business Management” but Shargun left the studies midway to pursue a career in acting. Shargun started her television career in the year 2009 with “Zee TV” show “12/24 Karol Bagh”. He started his Punjabi film career in the year 2015 with the Punjabi film “Angrez”.
7. Actress Aishwarya Lakshmi: – On this day in the year 1990, actress Aishwarya Lakshmi was born in Trivandrum (Kerala). Lakshmi did her early education at Holy Angel Convent Trivandrum and Sacred Heart Convent Girls Higher Secondary School, Thrissur. He completed his MBBS degree from Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS), Ernakulam in 2017. Lakshmi is mainly active in Malayalam cinema and Tamil cinema. Lakshmi started her film career in the year 2017 with a Malayalam film.
