1. ग्रंथ साहिब की प्रतिस्थापना:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1604 में अमृतसर के स्वर्ण मंदिर में आदि गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब की प्रतिस्थापना की गई थी.
2. पल्लीलोर का युद्ध:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1781 में हैदर अली ने ब्रिटिश सेना के खिलाफ पल्लीलोर का युद्ध लड़ा था.
3. दोराबजी टाटा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1859 में टाटा स्टील की नींव रखने वाले दोराबजी टाटा का जन्म बंबई में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम जमशेदजी टाटा और उनकी माता का नाम हीराबाई था. उनकी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा बंबई के प्रिपेटरी स्कूल में हुई थी. स्कूली शिक्षा का बाद दोराबजी को पढ़ने के लिए इंग्लैंड भेजा गया. वर्ष 1879 में भारत लौटे और बंबई विश्वविद्यालय से बी. ए. की उपाधि प्राप्त की. वर्ष 1904 में अपने पिता जमशेदजी टाटा की मृत्यु के बाद अपने पिता के सपनों को साकार करने का बीड़ा उठाया. दोराबजी वर्ष 1908-32 तक टाटा समूह के पहले चैयरमैन बने. साकची को एक आदर्श शहर के रूप में विकसित करने में उनकी मुख्य भूमिका रही है जो बाद में जमशेदपुर के नाम से जाना गया. वर्ष  1910 में दोराबजी को ब्रिटिश सरकार द्वारा नाईटहुड सम्मान से सम्मानित किया था. दोराबजी ने एक ओर जहाँ भारत में औद्योगिक विकास के निमित्त पिता द्वारा सोची अनेक योजनाओं को कार्यान्वित किया, वहीं दूसरी ओर समाजसेवा के भी कार्य किए। पत्नी की मृत्य के बाद ‘लेडी टाटा मेमोरियल ट्रस्ट’ की स्थापना की जिसका उद्देश्य रक्त संबंधी रोगों के अनुसंधान ओर अध्ययन में सहायता करना था. शिक्षा के प्रति भी इनका दृष्टिकोण बड़ा उदार था। जीवन के अंतिम वर्ष में इन्होंने अपनी सारी संपत्ति अपने नाम से स्थाति ट्रस्ट को सार्वजनिक कार्यों के लिये सौंप दी थी.
4. वर्किंग मेन्स क्लब:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1870 में बंगाल में शशि पाद बनर्जी ने ‘वर्किंग मेन्स क्लब’ की स्थापना की थी.
5. अभिनेत्री सुचित्रा पिल्लई:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1970 में अभिनेत्री सुचित्रा पिल्लई का जन्म एर्नाकुलम, केरल में हुआ था. सुचित्रा इलेक्ट्रोनिक इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक हैं. सुचित्रा पिल्लई ने अपने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष  2001 में इल्म बस इतना सा ख्वाब से की थी. फिल्मी दुनिया के अलावा वह हिंदी टीवी जगत में भी सक्रिय हैं, वह अब तक कई हिंदी टीवी शोज में अभिनय कर चुकी हैं, जिनमें हिप हिप हुर्रे, 24, प्रधान मंत्री, बेइन्तहा आदि.
6. रेसलर और लिफ्टर दिलीप सिंह राणा उर्फ ग्रेट खली:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1972 में रेसलर और लिफ्टर दिलीप सिंह राणा उर्फ ग्रेट खली का जन्म हिमाचल प्रदेश के सिरमौर जिले के धीरैना गाँव में एक राजपूत परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम ज्वाला राम और इनकी माता का नाम तांडी देवी हैं. दिलीप सिंह राणा ने अपने पेशेवर कुश्ती की शुरुआत वर्ष 2000 से की थी. बताते चलें कि, खली पेशेवर कुश्ती कैरियर की शुरुआत करने से पहले, पंजाब पुलिस के सहायक उप-निरीक्षक थे. दिलीप सिंह राणा को WWE में द ग्रेट खली के नाम से जाना जाता है. खली ने चार हॉलीवुड फिल्मों, दो बॉलीवुड फिल्मों और कई टेलीविजन शो में भी काम किया है.
7. पार्श्वगायक मुकेश:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1976 में पार्श्वगायक मुकेश का निधन डेट्रॉइट, मिशिगन, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में हुआ था.
8. मिलिट्री नर्सिंग सेवा की निदेशक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1976 में भारतीय सशस्त्र सेना की प्रथम महिला जनरल मेजर जनरल जी अली राम मिलिट्री नर्सिंग सेवा के निदेशक की नियुक्ति हुई थी.
9. अभिनेत्री नेहा धूपिया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1980 में अभिनेत्री नेहा धूपिया का जन्म कोच्चि में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम प्रदीप सिंह है जो इंडियन नेवी में ऑफिसर के पद पर कार्यरत थे जबकि उनकी माँ मंपिन्दर एक गृहणी थीं. नेहा धूपिया ने अपनी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा नेवल पब्लिक स्कूल और आर्मी स्कूल धौलकुआँ से पूरी साथ ही उन्होंने जिस एंड मेरी कॉलेज से बायोलॉजी में स्नातक किया है. नेहा धूपिया ने अपने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 2003 में अजय देवगन स्टारर फिल्म क़यामत से की थी. धूपिया को हिंदी सिनेमा में प्रसिद्धि फिल्म जुली और शिक्षा से मिली थी. उन्होंने कई बेहतरीन फिल्मों में काम किया। जिनमें चुप-चुप के, मिठिया, सिंह इज किंग, एक चालीस की लास्ट लोकल शामिल हैं.
10. प्रथम महिला मैरिन इंजनियर सोनाली बनर्जी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1999 में प्रथम महिला मैरिन इंजनियर सोनाली बनर्जी बनी थी.
11. युद्धबंदियों को रिहा किया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1999 में भारत ने कारगिल संघर्ष के दौरान अपने यहाँ बंदी बनाये गये पाकिस्तानी युद्धबंदियों को रिहा किया था.
12. निर्माता व निर्देशक ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2006 में निर्माता व निर्देशक ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी का निधन मुंबई में हुआ था.
13. सशस्त्र बल ट्रिब्यूनल का पहला अध्यक्ष:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधिश ए.के. माथुर को सशस्त्र बल ट्रिब्यूनल का पहला अध्यक्ष बनाया गया था.
14. छठे मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में शपथ ग्रहण:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में झारखण्ड मुक्तिमोर्चे के प्रमुख शिबु सोरेन ने झारखण्ड के छठे मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में शपथ ग्रहण की थी.
15. बहुजन समाज पार्टी की अध्यक्ष:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2009 में बहुजन समाज पार्टी की अध्यक्ष सुश्री मायावती को तीसरी बार पुनः अध्यक्ष पद पर चुन लिया गया था. बताते चलें कि, बहुजन समाज पार्टी के संस्थापक कांशीराम के उपरान्त वे लगातार इस पद पर बनी हुई हैं.

1. Replacement of Granth Sahib:- On this day in the year 1604, the replacement of Adi Guru Granth Sahib was done in the Golden Temple of Amritsar.
2. Battle of Pallilore: – On this day in the year 1781, Hyder Ali fought the Battle of Pallilore against the British army.
3. Dorabji Tata: – On this day in the year 1859, Dorabji Tata, who laid the foundation of Tata Steel, was born in Bombay. His father’s name was Jamsetji Tata and his mother’s name was Hirabai. His early education was done at the Preparatory School in Bombay. After schooling, Dorabji was sent to England to study. Returned to India in the year 1879 and did a B.A. from Bombay University. A. Has received the title of. After the death of his father Jamshedji Tata in the year 1904, he took the initiative to make his father’s dreams come true. Dorabji became the first chairman of the Tata Group from 1908-32. He was instrumental in developing Sakchi as a model city which later came to be known as Jamshedpur. In the year 1910, Dorabji was honored with Knighthood by the British Government. On the one hand, Dorabji implemented many schemes thought by his father for industrial development in India, on the other hand, he also did social service. After the death of his wife, ‘Lady Tata Memorial Trust’ was established, whose objective was to help in the research and study of blood-related diseases. His attitude towards education was also very liberal. In the last year of his life, he had handed over all his property to the trust established in his name for public works.

Let us say that, before starting his professional wrestling career, Khali was an assistant sub-inspector of the Punjab Police. Dilip Singh Rana is known as The Great Khali in WWE. 9. Actress Neha Dhupia:- On this day in the year 1980, actress Neha Dhupia was born in Kochi. His father’s name is Pradeep Singh, who served as an officer in the Indian Navy, while his mother, Mampinder, was a homemaker. Neha Dhupia completed her early education at Naval Public School and Army School Dhaulkuan, as well as she graduated in Biology from Jis and Mary College. Neha Dhupia started her film career in the year 2003 with Ajay Devgan starrer film Qayamat. Dhupia got fame in Hindi cinema from the films Julie and Shiksha. He worked in many best films.
