अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाल पुस्तक दिवस (International Children’s Book Day, ICBD) हर वर्ष 02अप्रैल को मनाया जाता है. जो विख्यात लेखक हैंस क्रिस्चियन एंडरसन के जन्मदिन के अवसर पर मनाया जाता है. यह दिवस बच्चों में पढ़ने के प्रति रुचि और प्रेम को बढ़ावा देने, बाल साहित्य के महत्व को उजागर करने, और बच्चों को विभिन्न संस्कृतियों और भाषाओं में पुस्तकों के माध्यम से जोड़ने के उद्देश्य से मनाया जाता है.
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाल पुस्तक दिवस की शुरुआत 1967 में इंटरनेशनल बोर्ड ऑन बुक्स फॉर यंग पीपल (IBBY) द्वारा की गई थी.IBBY एक गैर-लाभकारी संगठन है जिसका मुख्य लक्ष्य बाल साहित्य के माध्यम से अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समझ और सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना है.

International Children’s Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated every year on 02 April. Which is celebrated on the occasion of the birthday of famous writer Hans Christian Andersen. This day is celebrated with the aim of promoting interest and love of reading among children, highlighting the importance of children’s literature, and connecting children across different cultures and languages through books.
International Children’s Book Day was started in 1967 by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). IBBY is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to promote international understanding and cooperation through children’s literature.
Every year, the IBBY section of a different country gets the honor of hosting the day, and that country chooses a theme, a writer to deliver the message, and an illustrator who creates a poster for the day.
