भारतीय नौसेना दिवस हर वर्ष 04 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है. यह दिन भारतीय नौसेना की ताकत, शौर्य, और सेवा को सम्मानित करने के लिए मनाया जाता है. नौसेना दिवस वर्ष 1971 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध में भारतीय नौसेना की अभूतपूर्व विजय और ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट की सफलता की याद में मनाया जाता है.
वर्ष 1971 के युद्ध के दौरान, भारतीय नौसेना ने पाकिस्तान के कराची बंदरगाह पर हमला कर उसे भारी नुकसान पहुंचाया था. इस मिशन को ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट के नाम से जाना जाता है. इस ऑपरेशन में भारतीय नौसेना ने दुश्मन की पनडुब्बियों और जहाजों को नष्ट कर दिया साथ ही दुश्मन की आपूर्ति शृंखला को बाधित कर निर्णायक जीत हासिल की. यह पहला अवसर था जब भारतीय नौसेना ने एंटी-शिप मिसाइल्स का सफल उपयोग किया, जो कि एक ऐतिहासिक घटना मानी जाती है.
भारतीय नौसेना न केवल युद्धकाल में बल्कि शांतिकाल में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है। यह सामुद्रिक व्यापार के लिए समुद्री मार्गों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करती है. तटीय क्षेत्रों की प्राकृतिक आपदाओं में राहत प्रदान करती है.

Indian Navy Day
Indian Navy Day is celebrated every year on 04 December. This day is celebrated to honour the strength, valour, and service of the Indian Navy. Navy Day is celebrated to commemorate the unprecedented victory of the Indian Navy in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and the success of Operation Trident.
During the 1971 war, the Indian Navy attacked the Karachi port of Pakistan and caused heavy damage to it. This mission is known as Operation Trident. In this operation, the Indian Navy destroyed enemy submarines and ships as well as disrupted the enemy’s supply chain and achieved a decisive victory. This was the first time the Indian Navy successfully used anti-ship missiles, which is considered a historic event.
The Indian Navy plays an important role not only in wartime but also in peacetime. It ensures the safety of sea routes for maritime trade. Provides relief in natural disasters in coastal areas.
