1. सैय्यद वंश की नींव:-  आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1414 को खिज्र खां ने दिल्ली की गद्दी पर कब्जा कर के सैय्यद वंश की नींव रखी.
2. प्रखर राष्ट्रवादी नेता विनायक दामोदर सावरकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1883 में भारतीय स्वतन्त्रता आन्दोलन के अग्रिम पंक्ति के सेनानी और प्रखर राष्ट्रवादी नेता विनायक दामोदर सावरकर का जन्म नासिक के निकट भागुर गाँव में हुआ था. उनकी माता जी का नाम राधाबाई तथा पिता जी का नाम दामोदर पन्त सावरकर था. नौ वर्ष की उम्र में उनकी माता का देहांत हो गया सात सालों बाद पिता की भी मृत्यु हो गई. विनायक के बड़े भाई गणेश ने परिवार के पालन-पोषण का कार्य सँभाला लेकिन, दुःख और कठिनाई की इस घड़ी में गणेश के व्यक्तित्व का विनायक पर गहरा प्रभाव पड़ा. विनायक ने शिवाजी हाईस्कूल नासिक से वर्ष 1901 में मैट्रिक की परीक्षा पास की. पढाई के दौरान विनायक नवयुवको को संगठित कर मित्र मेलों का आयोजन करते जिससे नवयुवकों में राष्ट्रीयता की भावना के साथ क्रान्ति की ज्वाला जाग उठी. इसी दौरान उनकी शादी हो गई और उनके श्वसुर ने आगे की पढाई का जिम्मा लिया. उसके बाद उन्होने पुणे के फर्ग्युसन कालेज से बी०ए० किया. वर्ष 1904 में उन्हॊंने अभिनव भारत नामक एक क्रान्तिकारी संगठन की स्थापना की. वर्ष 1905 में बंगाल के विभाजन के बाद उन्होने पुणे में विदेशी वस्त्रों की होली जलाई।पढाई के दौरान पुणे में भी वे राष्ट्रभक्ति से ओत-प्रोत ओजस्वी भाषण देते थे. बाल गंगाधर तिलक के अनुमोदन पर वर्ष 1906 में उन्हें श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा छात्रवृत्ति मिली. सावरकर रूसी क्रान्तिकारियों से ज्यादा प्रभावित थे. इंडियन सोशियोलाजिस्ट और तलवार नामक पत्रिकाओं में उनके अनेक लेख प्रकाशित हुये, जो बाद में कलकत्ता के युगान्तर पत्र में भी छपे. वर्ष 1907 को इन्होंने इंडिया हाउस, लन्दन में प्रथम भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम की स्वर्ण जयन्ती मनाई. इस अवसर पर विनायक सावरकर ने अपने ओजस्वी भाषण में प्रमाणों सहित 1857 के संग्राम को गदर नहीं, अपितु भारत के स्वतंत्रता का प्रथम संग्राम सिद्ध किया. वर्ष 1908 में इनकी पुस्तक द इण्डियन वार ऑफ इण्डिपेण्डेंस : 1857  तैयार हो गयी थी.  लेकिन, इसके मुद्रण की समस्या आयी. काफी कोशिशों के बाद हॉलैंड से प्रकाशित हुई और इसकी प्रतियाँ फ्रांस पहुँचायी गयीं. वर्ष 1909 में इन्होंने लन्दन से बार एट ला (वकालत) की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की लेकिन, वकालत की अनुमति नहीं मिली.
3. शास्त्रीय गायक डी० वी० पलुस्कर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1921 में प्रसिद्ध शास्त्रीय गायक डी० वी० पलुस्कर का जन्म नासिक,(महाराष्ट्र) में एक विख्यात हिंदुस्तानी संगीतकार विष्णु दिगंबर पलुस्कर के यहाँ हुआ था. दस वर्ष की उम्र में उनके पिता का देहांत हुआ था. उसके बाद उन्हें पंडित विनायकराव पटवर्धन और पंडित नारायणराव व्यास ने प्रशिक्षित किया साथ ही उन्हें पंडित चिंतामनराव और पंडित मिराशी बुवा ने भी प्रशिक्षण दिया. डी० वी० पलुस्कर ने अपना पहला कार्यक्रम 14 वर्ष की आयु में पंजाब में हरिवल्लभ संगीत सम्मेलन में दिया. उनकी आवाज़ बहुत मधुर और सुरीली थी और उनके आलाप उनके गाये राग का स्पष्ट रेखांकन करते थे.  इसके बाद उनकी सहज शैली की तानों से सुसज्जित बंदिशें आती थीं. उनकी पहली डिस्क वर्ष 1944 में बनी और उन्होंने वर्ष 1955 में भारतीय सांस्कृतिक प्रतिनिधिमंडल के सदस्य के रूप में चीन का दौरा किया. उन्हें फिल्म बैजू बावरा में उस्ताद अमीर ख़ान के साथ एक अविस्मरणीय युगलबंदी के लिए भी जाना जाता है.
4. तेलुगु देशम पार्टी के संस्थापक एन. टी. रामाराव:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1923 में अभिनेता एवं तेलुगु देशम पार्टी के संस्थापक एन. टी. रामाराव का जन्म हुआ था.
5. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी विजय सिंह पथिक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1954 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी विजय सिंह पथिक का निधन हुआ था.
6. खाड़ी में आये चक्रवाती तूफान:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1963 को बंगाल की खाड़ी में आये चक्रवाती तूफान से करीब 22 हजार लोगों की मौत हुई थी.
7. निर्माता-निर्देशक महबूब ख़ान:-  आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1964 में भारतीय सिनेमा इतिहास के निर्माता-निर्देशक महबूब ख़ान का निधन हुआ था.
8. ढोरी खदान में आग और विस्फोट:-  आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1965 धनबाद की ढोरी खदान में आग और विस्फोट से 400 लोगों की मौत.
9. औपचारिक तौर पर विभाजन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1970 में आल इंडिया ट्रेड यूनियन कांग्रेस का औपचारिक तौर पर विभाजन हुआ.
10. वाजपेयी ने इस्तीफा दिया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1996 को तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने इस्तीफा दिया.
11. द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को प्रगाढ़:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2000 में राष्ट्रपति के. आर. नारायणन(भारत) चीन के साथ द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को प्रगाढ़ करने के लिए छह दिनों की राजकीय यात्रा पर पेइचिंग पहुँचे.
12. कवि, लेखक और साहित्यकार गोपाल प्रसाद व्यास:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2005 में प्रसिद्ध कवि, लेखक और साहित्यकार गोपाल प्रसाद व्यास का निधन दिल्ली में हुआ था.
13. स्थायी न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में राष्ट्रपति प्रतिभा पाटिल ने इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय में कार्यरत 05 न्यायाधीशों को स्थायी न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया.
14. टॉयलेट टेक्नॉलोजी को लोकप्रिय बनाने के अभियान:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में नई दिल्ली में फिल्म अभिनेता अक्षय कुमार ने टॉयलेट टेक्नॉलोजी को लोकप्रिय बनाने के अभियान का शुभारम्भ किया था.

1. Foundation of the Sayyid dynasty: – On this day in the year 1414, Khizr Khan laid the foundation of the Sayyid dynasty by occupying the throne of Delhi.
2. Nationalist leader Vinayak Damodar Savarkar: – On this day in the year 1883, the frontline fighter of the Indian independence movement and strong nationalist leader Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was born in Bhagur village near Nashik. His mother’s name was Radhabai and his father’s name was Radhabai. His name was Damodar Pant Savarkar. His mother died at the age of nine, and after seven years his father also died. Vinayak’s elder brother Ganesh took care of the family’s upbringing but, in this hour of grief and hardship, Ganesha’s personality turned on Vinayak. Had a deep impact. Vinayak passed the matriculation examination in the year 1901 from Shivaji High School Nashik. During his studies, Vinayak used to organize friend fairs by organizing youths, due to which the flame of revolution with the spirit of nationalism was awakened in the youths. During this, he got married and his father-in-law took the responsibility for further studies. After that, he did BA from Fergusson College, Pune. In the year 1904, he established a revolutionary organization called Abhinav Bharat. After the partition of Bengal in the year 1905, he burnt Holi of foreign clothes in Pune. During his studies in Pune also he used to give powerful speeches full of patriotism. On the approval of Bal Gangadhar Tilak, he got the Shyamji Krishna Verma scholarship in the year 1906. Savarkar was more influenced by Russian revolutionaries. Many of his articles were published in the magazines Indian Sociologist and Talwar, which were later published in Calcutta’s Jugantar Patra. In the year 1907, he celebrated the Golden Jubilee of the First Indian War of Independence at India House, London. On this occasion, Vinayak Savarkar in his powerful speech proved the war of 1857 not as mutiny, but as India’s first war of independence. In the year 1908, his book The Indian War of Independence: 1857 was ready. But there was a problem with its printing. After many efforts, it was published in Holland and its copies were sent to France. In the year 1909, he passed the Bar et La (advocate) examination from London but was not allowed to practice.
3. Classical singer D.V. Paluskar:- On this day in the year 1921, famous classical singer D.V. Paluskar was born in Nashik, (Maharashtra) to Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, a famous Indian musician. His father died when he was ten years old. After that, he was trained by Pandit Vinayak Rao Patwardhan and Pandit Narayanrao Vyas, and he was also trained by Pandit Chintamanrao and Pandit Mirashi Buwa. DV Paluskar gave his first performance at the age of 14 at the Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan in Punjab. His voice was very sweet and melodious and his alap clearly delineated the raga he sang. After this came the bandishes equipped with taunts of his spontaneous style. His first disc was made in the year 1944 and he visited China in the year 1955 as a member of the Indian cultural delegation. She is also known for an unforgettable duet with Ustad Amir Khan in the film Baiju Bawra.
4. Telugu Desam Party founder N. T. Rama Rao:- On this day in the year 1923, actor and founder of Telugu Desam Party, N. T. Rama Rao was born.
5. Freedom Fighter Vijay Singh Pathik:- On this day in the year 1954, freedom fighter Vijay Singh Pathik passed away.
6. Cyclonic storm in the Bay: – On this day in the year 1963, about 22 thousand people died due to the cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal.
7. Producer-Director Mehboob Khan:- On this day in the year 1964, the producer-director of Indian cinema history Mehboob Khan passed away.
