  1. डॉ. भालचंद्र वनजी नेमाडे:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1332 में उपन्यासकार, कवि, आलोचक डॉ. भालचंद्र वनजी नेमाडे का जन्म हुआ था.
  2. महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषद की स्थापना:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1906 को महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषद की स्थापना पुणे में की गई थी. महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषद “मराठी भाषा और साहित्य की उन्नति” के उद्देश्य से महाराष्ट्र के पश्चिम भारतीय राज्य में स्थित एक साहित्यिक संस्थान है. भारतीय साहित्य का विश्वकोश इसे मराठी का पहला प्रतिनिधि साहित्यिक निकाय मानता है.

  5. नितिन गडकरी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1957 को भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ नितिन गडकरी का जन्म महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर ज़िले में एक ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ. वे कामर्स में स्नातकोत्तर हैं इसके अलावा उन्होंने कानून तथा बिजनेस मनेजमेंट की पढ़ाई भी की है. गडकरी ने 1976 में नागपुर विश्वविद्यालय में भाजपा की छात्र शाखा अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद से अपने राजनीतिक जीवन की शुरूआत की. बाद में वह 23 साल की उम्र में भारतीय जनता युवा मोर्चा के अध्यक्ष बने. अपने ऊर्जावान व्यक्तित्व और सब को साथ लेकर चलने की ख़ूबी की वजह से वे सदा अपने वरिष्ठ नेताओं के प्रिय बने रहे. उन्होंने अपनी पहचान ज़मीन से जुड़े एक कार्यकर्ता के तौर पर बनाई है और वे एक राजनेता के साथ-साथ एक कृषक और उद्योगपति भी हैं.
  6. क्रिकेट खिलाड़ रवि शास्त्री:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1962 को भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के मुख्य कोच और क्रिकेट खिलाड़ रवि शास्त्री का जन्म मुंबई, महाराष्ट्र में हुआ था. भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के लिए 1981-92 तक टेस्ट क्रिकेट और एक दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट खेला है. इन्होंने अपने क्रिकेट कैरियर में धीमी गति के गेंदबाज और बल्लेबाज की भूमिका निभाई है. इस कारण इन्हें एक ऑल राउंडर के तौर पर जाना जाता था.

  12. राजमार्ग ईस्टर्न पेरीफरल एक्सप्रेस-वे:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने उत्तर प्रदेश के बागपत में देश के पहले पर्यावरण अनुकूल और विश्व स्तरीय सुरक्षा विशेषताओं से लैस छह लेन वाले 135 किलोमीटर लम्बे राजमार्ग ईस्टर्न पेरीफरल एक्सप्रेस-वे का उदघाटन किया.
