शिव का धनुष पिनाक :- शिव ने जिस धनुष को बनाया था उसकी टंकार से ही बादल फट जाते थे और पर्वत हिलने लगते थे. ऐसा लगता था मानो भूकंप आ गया हो. यह धनुष बहुत ही शक्तिशाली था. इसी के एक तीर से त्रिपुरासुर की तीनों नगरियों को ध्वस्त कर दिया गया था. इस धनुष का नाम पिनाक था. देवी और देवताओं के काल की समाप्ति के बाद इस धनुष को देवरात को सौंप दिया गया था.
उल्लेखनीय है कि राजा दक्ष के यज्ञ में यज्ञ का भाग शिव को नहीं देने के कारण भगवान शंकर बहुत क्रोधित हो गए थे और उन्होंने सभी देवताओं को अपने पिनाक धनुष से नष्ट करने की ठानी. एक टंकार से धरती का वातावरण भयानक हो गया. बड़ी मुश्किल से उनका क्रोध शांत किया गया, तब उन्होंने यह धनुष देवताओं को दे दिया.
देवताओं ने राजा जनक के पूर्वज देवरात को दे दिया. राजा जनक के पूर्वजों में निमि के ज्येष्ठ पुत्र देवरात थे. शिव-धनुष उन्हीं की धरोहरस्वरूप राजा जनक के पास सुरक्षित था. इस धनुष को भगवान शंकर ने स्वयं अपने हाथों से बनाया था. उनके इस विशालकाय धनुष को कोई भी उठाने की क्षमता नहीं रखता था. लेकिन भगवान राम ने इसे उठाकर इसकी प्रत्यंचा चढ़ाई और इसे एक झटके में तोड़ दिया.
शिव का चक्र :- चक्र को छोटा, लेकिन सबसे अचूक अस्त्र माना जाता था. सभी देवी-देवताओं के पास अपने-अपने अलग-अलग चक्र होते थे. उन सभी के अलग-अलग नाम थे. शंकरजी के चक्र का नाम भवरेंदु, विष्णुजी के चक्र का नाम कांता चक्र और देवी का चक्र मृत्यु मंजरी के नाम से जाना जाता था. सुदर्शन चक्र का नाम भगवान कृष्ण के नाम के साथ अभिन्न रूप से जुड़ा हुआ है.
बहुत कम ही लोग जानते हैं कि सुदर्शन चक्र का निर्माण भगवान शंकर ने किया था. प्राचीन और प्रामाणिक शास्त्रों के अनुसार इसका निर्माण भगवान शंकर ने किया था. निर्माण के बाद भगवान शिव ने इसे श्रीविष्णु को सौंप दिया था. जरूरत पड़ने पर श्रीविष्णु ने इसे देवी पार्वती को प्रदान कर दिया. पार्वती ने इसे परशुराम को दे दिया और भगवान कृष्ण को यह सुदर्शन चक्र परशुराम से मिला.
त्रिशूल :- इस तरह भगवान शिव के पास कई अस्त्र-शस्त्र थे लेकिन उन्होंने अपने सभी अस्त्र-शस्त्र देवताओं को सौंप दिए. उनके पास सिर्फ एक त्रिशूल ही होता था. यह बहुत ही अचूक और घातक अस्त्र था. त्रिशूल तीन प्रकार के कष्टों दैनिक, दैविक, भौतिक के विनाश का सूचक है. इसमें तीन तरह की शक्तियां हैं- सत, रज और तम। प्रोटॉन, न्यूट्रॉन और इलेक्ट्रॉन. इसके अलावा पाशुपतास्त्र भी शिव का अस्त्र है.

Shiva’s weapons
Shiva’s bow Pinak: – The bow which was made by Shiva, clouds used to burst and the mountains started moving. It seemed as if an earthquake had occurred. This bow was very powerful. All three cities of Tripurasura were destroyed with one arrow of this. The name of this bow was Pinaka. After the end of the period of gods and goddesses, this bow was handed over to Devrat.
It is notable that Lord Shankar became very angry because of not give part of the yagya to Shiva in King Daksha’s Yagya and he decided to destroy all the deities with his pinaka bow. With a bang, the atmosphere of the earth became terrible. His anger was pacified with great difficulty, then he gave this bow to the gods.
The gods gave it to Devarat, the ancestor of King Janak. Nimi’s eldest son Devarat was among the ancestors of King Janak. Shiva-Dhanush was safe with King Janak as his heritage. This bow was made by Lord Shankar himself with his own hands. No one had the ability to lift this giant bow of his. But Lord Ram lifted it up and climbed it and broke it in one stroke.
Shiva’s Chakra: – Chakra was considered to be a small but infallible weapon. All the deities had their own separate chakras. They all had different names. Shankarji’s chakra was named Bhavarendu, Vishnuji’s chakra was known as Kanta Chakra, and Goddess’s chakra was known as Mrityu Manjari. The name of Sudarshan Chakra is inextricably linked with the name of Lord Krishna.
Very few people know that Sudarshan Chakra was created by Lord Shankar. According to ancient and authentic scriptures, it was built by Lord Shankar. After construction, Lord Shiva handed it over to Sri Vishnu. When needed, Sri Vishnu provided it to Goddess Parvati. Parvati gave it to Parshuram and Lord Krishna got this Sudarshan Chakra from Parshuram.
Trishul: – In this way, Lord Shiva had many weapons but he handed over all his weapons to the deities. He only had a trident. It was a very accurate and deadly weapon. Trishul is the indicator of the destruction of three types of sufferings daily, divine and physical. There are three types of powers in it – Sat, Raj, and Tama. Proton, Neutron, and Electron. Apart from this, Pashupatastra is also a weapon of Shiva.
