- तेजी बच्चन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1914 में भारतीय सिनेमा के महानायक अमिताभ बच्चन की माँ तेजी बच्चन का जन्म पंजाबी सिख खत्री ल्यालपुर, पंजाब प्रांत, ब्रिटिश भारत में हुआ था. उनका पूरा नाम तेजवंत कौर सूरी है. जब तेजवंत कौर ख़ूब चंद डिग्री कॉलेज, लाहौर में मनोविज्ञान की प्रोफ़ेसर थीं तब उनकी मुलाक़ात इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय में एक अंग्रेजी प्रोफेसर हरिवंश राय बच्चन से हुई थी. वर्ष 1941 में तेजवंत कौर सूरी ने हरिवंश राय बच्चन से विवाह कर तेजी बच्चन बन गई. तेजी ने लेडी मैकबेथ अपने पति के हिंदी रूपांतरण में मैकबेथ की भूमिका निभाई थी. तेजी बच्चन ने यश चोपड़ा की वर्ष 1976 की फ़िल्म, कभी कभी में एक कैमियो उपस्थिति की भूमिका भी निभाई थी. तेजी बच्चन को वर्ष 1973 में फिल्म फाइनेंस कॉर्पोरेशन के निर्देशकों में से एक के रूप में भी नियुक्त किया गया था.
- अंतरिक्ष कार्यक्रम के जनक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1919 में भारतीय अंतरिक्ष कार्यक्रम के जनक वैज्ञानिक विक्रम साराभाई का जन्म अहमदाबाद (गुजरात ) के संपन्न जैन व्यापारी परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम अंबालाल साराभाई जो संपन्न उद्योगपति थे तथा गुजरात में कई मिलों के मालिक थे वहीँ, उनकी माता का नाम सरला देवी था. भारतीय परमाणु विज्ञान कार्यक्रम के जनक के रूप में मान्यता प्राप्त डॉ. होमी जहाँगीर भाभा ने भारत में प्रथम राकेट प्रमोचन केंद्र की स्थापना के समय में डॉ. साराभाई ने भी समर्थन किया था. डॉ. साराभाई के मार्गदर्शन में पहला कॉस्मिक किरणों का निरीक्षण करने वाले नए दूरबीनो का निर्माण किया गया.
- इतिहासकार इरफ़ान हबीब:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1931में इतिहासकार इरफ़ान हबीब का जन्म वडोदरा में हुआ था.
- जॉर्ज सिडनी अरुंडेल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1945 में भारत के लिए अपना जीवन समर्पित कर देने वाले अंग्रेज़ व्यक्ति जॉर्ज सिडनी अरुंडेल का निधन इंग्लैंड में हुआ था. शिक्षा समाप्त करने के बाद अरुंडेल को लंदन में एनी बेसेंट का भाषण सुनने का अवसर मिला था. उससे प्रभावित होकर 25 वर्ष की उम्र में वे भारत चले आए और फिर यहीं के होकर रह गई थी.
- काशीनाथ नारायण दीक्षित:-आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1946 में काशीनाथ नारायण दीक्षित का निधन हुआ था.
- कर्नाटक के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री सिद्दारमैया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1948 में कर्नाटक के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री सिद्दारमैया का जन्म सिद्दरामानाहुन्दी, मैसूर जिला, मैसूर राजशाही (अब कर्नाटक) में हुआ था.
- दयानंद बालकृष्ण बंदोदकर भाऊसाहेब बंदोदकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1971में गोवा , दमन और दीव के पहले मुख्यमंत्री दयानंद बालकृष्ण बंदोदकर भाऊसाहेब बंदोदकर का निधन हुआ था.
- क्रिकेटर ज्ञानेंद्र पांडेय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1972 में क्रिकेटर ज्ञानेंद्र पांडेय का जन्म लखनऊ में हुआ था.

- अभिनेत्री सायेशा सहगल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1997 में अभिनेत्री सायेशा सहगल का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ था. सायेशा के पिता का नाम सुमीत सहगल और माँ का शाहीन बानू हैं जबकि, अभिनेता दिलीप कुमार इनके चाचा और सायरा बानू इनकी चाची है. सायेशा की सौतेली माँ का नाम फराह (बहन तब्बू) है. सायेशा की प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा मुंबई से हुई है. सायेशा ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत टोलीवुड फिल्म अक्किनी अखिल से की थी.

- Teji Bachchan:- On this day in the year 1914, Teji Bachchan, mother of Indian cinema megastar Amitabh Bachchan, was born in Punjabi Sikh Khatri Lyalpur, Punjab province, British India. Her full name is Tejwant Kaur Suri. When Tejwant Kaur was a Professor of Psychology at Khoob Chand Degree College, Lahore, she met Harivansh Rai Bachchan, an English professor at Allahabad University. Tejwant Kaur Suri married Harivansh Rai Bachchan in the year 1941 and became Teji Bachchan. Teji played the role of Macbeth in the Hindi adaptation of Lady Macbeth Her Husband. Teji Bachchan also made a cameo appearance in Yash Chopra’s 1976 film, Kabhi Kabhie. Teji Bachchan was also appointed as one of the directors of the Film Finance Corporation in the year 1973.
- Father of Space Program:- On this day in the year 1919, scientist Vikram Sarabhai, father of the Indian Space Program, was born in a prosperous Jain business family in Ahmedabad (Gujarat). His father’s name was Ambalal Sarabhai who was a prosperous industrialist and owner of many mills in Gujarat, while his mother’s name was Sarala Devi. Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, recognized as the father of the Indian nuclear science program, had also supported Dr. Sarabhai during the establishment of the first rocket launching center in India.
