याद आते वो पल-90.

1. धोखधड़ी के लिए फांसी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1775 में पश्चिम बंगाल के राजा महाराजा नंदकुमार को कलकत्ता (कोलकाता) में फांसी दी गई थी. बताते चलें कि, ब्रिटिश शासन द्वारा भारत में धोखधड़ी के लिए दी गई यह अंतिम फांसी थी.
2. आचार्य प्यारे मोहन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1852 में आचार्य प्यारे मोहन का जन्म उड़ीसा राज्य के कटक ज़िले में कौनपा नामक गांव में हुआ था. प्यारे मोहन को पढ़ाई में मन नहीं लगता था परन्तु वे सामाजिक कार्यों में ज्यादा समय देते थे. पढ़ाई के दौरान ही प्यारे ने ‘उत्कल पुत्र’ नामक एक समाचार पत्र का प्रकाशन भी आरंभ किया। इस पत्रिका में अपने विचार निर्भयतापूर्वक रखते थे. उनके विचारों से नाराज होकर कटक के ज़िला मजिस्ट्रेट ने कॉलेज के प्रिंसिपल को आदेश दिया कि प्यारे मोहन आचार्य को विद्यालय से निकाल दिया जाए. प्यारे मोहन के प्रिंसिपल चाहते थे कि, उनका विद्यार्थी ज़िला मजिस्ट्रेट से क्षमा माँग ले परन्तु प्यारे मोहन इसके लिए तैयार नहीं हुए और उन्हें कॉलेज से निकाल दिया गया. अब पूर्ण रूप से प्यारे मोहन समाज सेवा में भी गए और लोगों को अंग्रेजी सत्ता के विरुद्ध प्रेरित करते रहे. उन्होंने अपने प्रयास से वर्ष 1875 में एक हाई स्कूल की स्थापना हुई, जो अब ‘प्यारे मोहन एकेडमी’ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है.
3. मराठी साहित्यकार दत्तो वामन पोतदार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1890 में मराठी साहित्यकार दत्तो वामन पोतदार का जन्म महाराष्ट्र के बीरबंडी नामक कस्बे में हुआ था.
4. मध्य प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री द्वारका प्रसाद मिश्रा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1901 में मध्य प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री द्वारका प्रसाद मिश्रा का जन्म उत्तर प्रदेश के उन्नाव ज़िले में पढरी नामक ग्राम में एक ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ था. इनके पिता का नाम पण्डित अयोध्या प्रसाद और माता का नाम रमा देवी था. वर्ष 1920 में द्वारका प्रसाद मिश्रा महात्मा गाँधी के आह्वान पर स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में कूद पड़े. देश की सेवा करते हुए जेल यात्राएँ उनकी साथी बन गई. द्वारका प्रसाद मिश्रा वर्ष 1937- 46 में केन्द्रीय प्रान्तों के मंत्री रहे. वर्ष 1967 तक मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री भी रहे थे. वर्ष 1942 में जेल में रहते हुए द्वारका प्रसाद मिश्रा जी ने ‘कृष्णायन’ महाकाव्य की रचना की थी. द्वारका प्रसाद मिश्रा ने वर्ष 1954-64 तक ‘सागर विश्वविद्यालय’ के कुलपति के रूप में व्यतीत किया. वर्ष 1971 में राजनीति से अवकाश लेकर उन्होंने सारा समय साहित्य को समर्पित कर दिया था.
5. मद्रास विधान सभा के सदस्य बी. जी. रेड्डी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1907 में मद्रास विधान सभा के सदस्य बी. जी. रेड्डी का जन्म हुआ था. रेड्डी ने अपनी उच्च शिक्षा शान्ति निकेतन से प्राप्त की थी. वर्ष 1937 में वे मद्रास विधान सभा के सदस्य निर्वाचित हुए थे.
6. कवि शिवमंगल सिंह सुमन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1915 में कवि शिवमंगल सिंह सुमन का जन्म उत्तर प्रदेश के उन्नाव ज़िले में हुआ था. उन्होंने, ग्वालियर के विक्टोरिया कॉलेज से बी.ए. और काशी हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालय से एम.ए., डी.लिट् की उपाधियाँ प्राप्त कर ग्वालियर, इन्दौर और उज्जैन में उन्होंने अध्यापन कार्य किया. हिन्दी कविता की वाचिक परंपरा आपकी लोकप्रियता की साक्षी है.
7. कवि वीरेन डंगवाल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1947 में कवि वीरेन डंगवाल का जन्म कीर्तिनगर, टेहरी गढ़वाल, उत्तराखंड में हुआ था. उनके, पिता स्वर्गीय रघुनंदन प्रसाद डंगवाल प्रदेश सरकार में कमिश्नरी के प्रथम श्रेणी अधिकारी थे. वीरेन डंगवाल एक ऐसे कवि थे, जिन्होंने जिंदगी को उसकी पूरी लय के साथ जिया. बीमारी के दिनों में भी उनका सृजन कर्म जारी रहा और उनकी कई कविताएं प्रकाशित भी हुई थी.
8. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी गोपीनाथ बोरदोलोई:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1950 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और असम के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री रहे गोपीनाथ बोरदोलोई का निधन गुवाहाटी, असम में हुआ था.
9. क्रिकेटर वेंकटेश प्रसाद:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1969 में क्रिकेटर वेंकटेश प्रसाद का जन्म हैदराबाद में हुआ था.वेंकटेश और जवागल श्रीनाथ की जोड़ी उन दिनों काफी फेमस थी. काफी टैलेंटेड होने के बावजूद प्रसाद का इंटरनेशनल कैरियर ज्यादा लंबा नहीं चल पाया. वह करीब 6 साल ही क्रिकेट खेल पाए. मगर इतने कम समय में उन्होंने जो कारनामे कर दिखाए जिसके लिए दुनियाभर के क्रिकेट फैंस आज भी उनका नाम याद करते नहीं थकते हैं.
10. अभिनेत्री काजोल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1975 में अभिनेत्री काजोल का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम निर्माता-निर्देशक सोमू मुखर्जी और माता का नाम पूर्व अभिनेत्री तनुजा है. उनका पूरा पैतृक परिवार परिवार भी बॉलीवुड का एक अभिन्न हिस्सा रहा है. काजोल ने अपने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म बेखुदी से की थी. उसके बाद वर्ष 1993 में काजोल अब्बास मस्तान की फिल्म बाजीगर में नज़र आई. इस फिल्म में उनके साथ शाहरुख़ खान और शिल्पा शेट्टी भी थे. काजोल की यह फिल्‍म बॉक्‍स ऑफिस पर हिट साबित हुई थी. फिल्म दिलवाले दुल्हनिया ले जायेंगे के लिए काजोल को फिल्म फेयर के बेस्ट एक्ट्रेस अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया था.
11. अभिनेता वत्सल सेठ:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1980 में अभिनेता वत्सल सेठ का जन्म मुम्बई में हुआ था. उन्होंने उत्पल शंघवी स्कूल से पढ़ाई आरम्भ की और गणित में स्नातक मिठीबाई कॉलेज, मुम्बई से पूर्ण की. वत्सल सेठ ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म टार्जन द वंडर कार से की थी. उसके बाद उन्होंने छोटे पर्दे की ओर अपना रुख किया.
12. अभिनेत्री जेनेलिया डिसूजा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1987 में अभिनेत्री जेनेलिया डिसूजा का जन्म मुंबई में मंग्लोरियाई कैथोलिक परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम नील डिसूज़ा टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज में एक उच्चाधिकारी है वहीँ, उनकी माँ जेनेट डिसूज़ा एक बहुराष्ट्रीय फार्मा कंपनी की भूतपूर्व प्रबंध निदेशक (मैनेजिंग डाइरेक्टर) है. डिसूज़ा की प्रारम्भिक पढ़ाई अपोस्टोलिक कारमेल हाई स्कूल, बांद्रा से की और बाद में मैनेजमेंट शिक्षा में उपाधि के लिए सेंट ऐंड्रूज़ कॉलेज में दाखिला लिया. डिसूज़ा ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत मॉडलिंग से की थी. उन्होंने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म तुझे मेरी कसम से की थी. डिसूजा को पहला फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड फिल्म ‘ बोम्मारिलू ‘ के लिए मिला था.
13. पहली महिला जज:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1991 में न्यायमूर्ति लीला सेठ दिल्ली हाईकोट में जज बनने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला थी. वे देश की पहली ऐसी महिला भी थीं, जिन्होंने लंदन बार एक्जाम में शीर्ष स्थान प्राप्त किया था.
14. क्रिकेटर लाला अमरनाथ:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2000 में क्रिकेटर लाला अमरनाथ का निधन नयी दिल्ली में हुआ था.
15. भूकंप का झटका:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में भारत के अंडमान निकोबार द्वीप से मील उत्तर-पूर्व में हिंद महासागर में 5 तीव्रता के भूकंप का झटका महसूस किया गया था.
16. बादल फटा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2010 में कश्मीर (भारत) के लेह में बादल फटने से तथा उसके बाद आई बाढ़ में 115 लोगों की मृत्यु हो गई थी.
17. कांस्य पदक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2013 में भारत की जूनियर महिला हॉकी टीम ने को जर्मनी में संपन्न हुए विश्वकप में इंग्लैंड को पेनाल्टी शूटआउट में 3-2 (1-1) से हराकर कांस्य पदक जीता था.
18. दीनदयाल उपाध्याय रेलवे स्टेशन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में उत्तर प्रदेश के मुगल सराय जंक्शन का नाम बदलकर दीनदयाल उपाध्याय रेलवे स्टेशन किया गया.
19. धारा 370 को हटाया गया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2019 में भारत सरकार ने जम्मू और कश्मीर से संविधान में उल्लेखित धारा 370 को हटा दिया और इस राज्य को दो केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में बांट दिया साथ ही अब इसे जम्मू एवं कश्मीर और लद्धाख केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के नाम से जाना जाता है.
20. राम मंदिर निर्माण के लिए भूमि पूजन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2020 में पीएम मोदी ने राम मंदिर निर्माण के लिए भूमि पूजन किया था.

1. Hanging for Cheating: – On this day in the year 1775, King Maharaja Nandkumar of West Bengal was hanged in Calcutta (Kolkata). Let us tell that, this was the last hanging given by the British rule for fraud in India.
2. Acharya Pyare Mohan:- On this day in the year 1852, Acharya Pyare Mohan was born in a village named Kaunpa in the Cuttack district of Orissa state. Pyare Mohan did not feel like studying but he used to spend more time in social work. During his studies, Pyare also started publishing a newspaper named ‘Utkal Putra’. He used to express his views fearlessly in this magazine. Angered by his views, the District Magistrate of Cuttack ordered the principal of the college to expel Pyare Mohan Acharya from the school. Pyare Mohan’s principal wanted his student to apologize to the District Magistrate but Pyare Mohan was not ready for this and he was expelled from the college. Now completely beloved Mohan also went to social service and kept motivating people against British rule. With his efforts, a high school was established in the year 1875, which is now famous as ‘Pyare Mohan Academy’.
3. Marathi writer Datto Vaman Potdar: – On this day in the year 1890, Marathi writer Datto Vaman Potdar was born in Birbandi town of Maharashtra.
4. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dwarka Prasad Mishra:- On this day in the year 1901, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dwarka Prasad Mishra was born in a Brahmin family in a village named Padhri in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name was Pandit Ayodhya Prasad and his mother’s name was Rama Devi. In the year 1920, Dwarka Prasad Mishra jumped into the freedom struggle on the call of Mahatma Gandhi. Jail trips became his companion while serving the country. Dwarka Prasad Mishra was the minister of Central Provinces in the year 1937-46. He was also the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh till the year 1967. While in jail in the year 1942, Dwarka Prasad Mishra composed the epic ‘Krishnayan’. Dwarka Prasad Mishra spent the year 1954-64 as the Vice-Chancellor of ‘Sagar University’. Taking a break from politics in the year 1971, he devoted all his time to literature.
5. Member of the Madras Legislative Assembly B. Yes. Reddy: – On this day in the year 1907, the member of the Madras Legislative Assembly B. Yes. Reddy was born. Reddy received his higher education from Shantiniketan. In the year 1937, he was elected a member of the Madras Legislative Assembly.
6. Poet Shivmangal Singh Suman:- On this day in the year 1915, poet Shivmangal Singh Suman was born in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. He did his B.A. from Victoria College, Gwalior. And after receiving the degrees of M.A., and D.Litt from Kashi Hindu University, he did teaching work in Gwalior, Indore, and Ujjain. 7. Poet Viren Dangwal:- On this day in the year 1947, poet Viren Dangwal was born in Kirtinagar, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. His father, the late Raghunandan Prasad Dangwal, was a Class I officer of the Commissionerate in the State Government. Viren Dangwal was a poet who lived life to its fullest. Even during his illness, his creative work continued and many of his poems were also published.
8. Freedom Fighter Gopinath Bordoloi:- On this day in the year 1950, freedom fighter and first Chief Minister of Assam Gopinath Bordoloi passed away in Guwahati, Assam.
9. Cricketer Venkatesh Prasad:- On this day in the year 1969, cricketer Venkatesh Prasad was born in Hyderabad. The pair of Venkatesh and Javagal Srinath were very famous in those days. Despite being very talented, Prasad’s international career could not last long. He was able to play cricket only for about 6 years. 10. Actress Kajol: – On this day in the year 1975, actress Kajol was born in Mumbai. His father’s name is producer-director Somu Mukherjee and his mother’s name is former actress Tanuja. 18. Deendayal Upadhyay Railway Station:- On this day in the year 2018, the name of Mughal Sarai Junction of Uttar Pradesh was changed to Deendayal Upadhyay Railway Station.
19. Article 370 was removed: – On this day in the year 2019, the Government of India removed Article 370 mentioned in the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir and divided this state into two Union Territories now it is Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is known as Union Territories.
