1. वकालत की डिग्री हासिल करने वाले प्रथम भारतीय:-आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1862 में ‘लिंकन्स इन’ से वकालत की डिग्री हासिल करने वाले प्रथम भारतीय ज्ञानेंद्र मोहन टैगोर बने.
2. भारत का वाइसराय तथा गवर्नर-जनरल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1884-1888 तक भारत का वाइसराय तथा गवर्नर-जनरल लॉर्ड डफरिन का जन्म हुआ था.
3. कहानीकार विष्णु प्रभाकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1912 में हिन्दी साहित्यकार, नाटककार और कहानीकार विष्णु प्रभाकर का जन्म मीरापुर, ज़िला मुज़फ़्फ़रनगर (उत्तर प्रदेश) में हुआ था.इनके पिता का नाम दुर्गा प्रसाद था, जो धार्मिक विचारधारा वाले व्यक्तित्व के धनी थे. प्रभाकर जी की माता महादेवी पढ़ी-लिखी महिला थीं, जिन्होंने अपने समय में पर्दा प्रथा का घोर विरोध किया था. विष्णु प्रभाकर की आरंभिक शिक्षा मीरापुर में हुई थी. उन्होंने वर्ष 1929 में चंदूलाल एंग्लो-वैदिक हाई स्कूल, हिसार से मैट्रिक की परीक्षा पास की. इसके उपरांत नौकरी करते हुए पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय से ‘भूषण’, ‘प्राज्ञ’, ‘विशारद’ और ‘प्रभाकर’ आदि की हिंदी-संस्कृत परीक्षाएँ भी उत्तीर्ण कीं. उन्होंने पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय से ही बी.ए. की डिग्री भी प्राप्त की थी. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी महात्मा गाँधी जी के जीवन आदर्शों से प्रेम के कारण प्रभाकर जी का रुझान कांग्रेस की तरफ़ हो गया. वे आज़ादी के दौर में बजते राजनीतिक बिगुल में उनकी लेखनी का भी एक उद्देश्य बन गया था, जो आज़ादी के लिए संघर्षरत थी.
4. वरिष्ठ पत्रकार बी.जी.वर्गीज:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1927 में रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार सम्मनित वरिष्ठ पत्रकार बी.जी.वर्गीज का जन्म बर्मा (वर्तमान म्यांमार) में हुआ था. वर्गीज़ ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत ‘दि टाइम्स ऑफ़ इंडिया’ समाचार पत्र से की. वर्गीज़ वर्ष 1966-69 के दौरान भारत की भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के जानकारी सलाहकार और उसके भाषणों के लेखक रहे.
5. ब्रजभाषा कवि जगन्नाथदास रत्नाकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1932 में आधुनिक युग के श्रेष्ठ ब्रजभाषा कवि जगन्नाथदास रत्नाकर का निधन हुआ था. पुरुषोत्तमदास फ़ारसी भाषा के अच्छे विद्वान् थे और हिन्दी फ़ारसी कवियों का बड़ा सम्मान करते थे.
6. आलोचक तथा व्यंग्यकार मुद्राराक्षस:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1932 में लेखक, उपन्यासकार, नाटककार, आलोचक तथा व्यंग्यकार मुद्राराक्षस का जन्म लखनऊ (उत्तर प्रदेश) के पास बेहटा नामक गाँव में हुआ था। उनका मूल नाम सुहास वर्मा था. उन्होंने वर्ष 1950 के आसपास से लिखना शुरू किया था. कहानी, उपन्यास, कविता, आलोचना, पत्रकारिता, संपादन, नाट्य लेखन, मंचन, निर्देशन जैसी विधाओं में उन्होंने सृजन कार्य किया.
7. केशव बलिराम हेडगेवार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1940 में राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के संस्थापक केशव बलिराम हेडगेवार का निधन हुआ था.
8. अंतिम गर्वनर जनरल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1948 में भारत के अंतिम गर्वनर जनरल सी. राजगोपालाचारी बने.
9. राजस्थान उच्च न्यायालय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1948 में राजस्थान उच्च न्यायालय की स्थापना हुई थी.
10. अभिनेत्री रीमा लागू :- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1958 में अभिनेत्री रीमा लागू का जन्म बम्बई( महाराष्ट्र) में हुआ था. रीमा का वास्तविक नाम गुरिंदर भदभदे था. इनकी माँ मन्दाकिनी भदभदे एक अभिनेत्री थीं, जो लेकुर उदण्ड जाहली नामक नाटक के कारण मराठी मंच में जानी जाती थी। रीमा जब स्कूल में पढ़ती थी तब उन्हें अपने अभिनय की कला के बारे में पता चला. रीमा ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत मराठी फिल्म “सिंहासन” से. उसके बाद रीमा ने कलयुग नामक फिल्म में काम किया जो हिंदी फिल्म थी. इसके अलावा हिन्दी धारावाहिक “श्रीमान श्रीमती” और “तू तू मैं मैं” में भी महत्वपूर्ण किरदार निभा चुकी हैं. रीमा को हिन्दी फिल्मों में माँ के किरदार निभाने के कारण जाना जाता है.
11. अभिनेत्री मुक्ति मोहन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1987 में अभिनेत्री मुक्ति मोहन का जन्म नई दिल्ली में हुआ था.उन्होंने अपनी शुरूआती पढ़ाई बिरला बालिका विद्यापीठ पिलानी राजस्थान से की हैं. मुक्ति ने करियर की शुरुआत स्टार वन के डांस बेस्ड रियलिटी शो जरा नच के दिखा से की थी. इसके अलावा वह कॉमेडी सर्कस के जादू में बतौर स्टैंडअप कॉमेडियन भी नजर आ चुकी हैं. मुक्ति ने अपने अभिनय के सफर की शुरुआत विशाल भारद्वाज की 2007 में बनी एक लघु फिल्म ब्लड ब्रदर्स से की थी.
12. पी.वी.नरसिम्हाराव:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1991 में भारत के नौंवे प्रधानमंत्री पी.वी.नरसिम्हाराव बनें. इनका पुरा नाम है पामुलापति वेंकट नरसिंह राव.
13. परमाणु ऊर्जा केंद्र स्थापित:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1998 में तमिलनाडु के कुडनकुलम में परमाणु ऊर्जा केंद्र स्थापित करने के लिए भारत और रूस 5 अरब डॉलर के एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए.
14. भारत और पाकिस्तान वार्ता:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2004 में चीन ने भारत और पाकिस्तान वार्ता का समर्थन किया था.
15. सुपर सीरीज बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट का खिताब:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2004 में भारत की बैडमिंटन स्टार खिलाड़ी सायना नेहवाल ने सुपर सीरीज बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट का खिताब जीता. ऐसा करने वाली वह पहली भारतीय महिला हैं.
16. जुर्माना लगाया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2012 में भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग ने 11 सीमेंट कंपनियों को व्यापार संघ बनाकर कीमत का निर्धारण करने का दोषी ठहराते हुए 6000 करोड़ रुपए का जुर्माना लगाया.

3. Storyteller Vishnu Prabhakar:- On this day in the year 1912, Hindi litterateur, playwright, and storyteller Vishnu Prabhakar was born in Mirapur, district Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh). His father’s name was Durga Prasad, he was a personality of religious ideology. were rich. Prabhakar ji’s mother Mahadevi was an educated woman, who strongly opposed the purdah system in her time. Vishnu Prabhakar’s early education took place in Mirapur. He passed his matriculation in the year 1929 from Chandulal Anglo-Vedic High School, Hisar.
