- क्रांतिकारी गणेश दामोदर सावरकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1879 में क्रांतिकारी गणेश दामोदर सावरकर का जन्म महाराष्ट्र राज्य के नासिक नगर के निकट भागपुर नामक स्थान में हुआ था. गणेश दामोदर सावरकर जिन्हें बाबाराव सावरकर भी कहा जाता है. उन्होंने भारत में ब्रिटिश औपनिवेशिक सरकार के खिलाफ एक सशस्त्र आंदोलन का नेतृत्व किया. वर्ष1909 में वे गिरफ्तार किए गए. देशद्रोह का मुक़दमा चला और आजीवन कारावास की सज़ा देकर अंडमान भेज दिए गए. वर्ष 1921 में वहाँ से भारत लाए गए और एक वर्ष साबरमती जेल में बंद रह कर वर्ष 1922 में रिहा हो सके. गणेश सावरकर डॉ. हेडगेवार के संपर्क में आए जिन्होंने वर्ष 1925 में ‘राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ’ की स्थापना की. सावरकर आर. एस. एस. के प्रचार कार्य में लग गए.
- क्रांतिकारी नानक भील:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1922 में अंग्रेज़ों का विरोध करने वाले क्रांतिकारी नानक भील का निधन हुआ था.
- मशहूर गीतकार प्रेम धवन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1923 में हिंदी सिनेमा जगत् के मशहूर गीतकार प्रेम धवन का जन्म अम्बाला में हुआ था. उन्होंने लाहौर के एफ़.सी. कॉलेज से स्नातक की शिक्षा पूरी की. मशहूर गीतकार साहिर लुधियानवी इनके सहपाठी थे और भारत के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंद्रकुमार गुजराल सीनियर छात्र थे.साहिर लुधियानवी ग़ज़ल रचते थे और प्रेम धवन, गीत लिखते थे.कम लोग जानते हैं कि प्रेम धवन ने लगभग 50 फ़िल्मों में नृत्य निर्देशन किया. फ़िल्म ‘नया दौर’ का ‘उड़े जब-जब जुल्फें तेरी’- प्रेम धवन के ही निर्देशन का कमाल था.
- पीयूष गोयल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1964 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के राजनेता पीयूष गोयल का जन्म मुंबई, महाराष्ट्र में हुआ था.
