1. मुगल शासक गद्दी पर बैठे:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1659 में मुगल शासक औरंगजेब आधिकारिक रूप से दिल्ली की गद्दी पर बैठे.
2. एन. एम. जोशी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1879 में भारत में ‘ट्रेड यूनियन आंदोलन’ के जन्मदाता एन. एम. जोशी का जन्म हुआ था. जोशी बीसवीं सदी के प्रमुख श्रमिक नेताओं में गिने जाते थे.जोशी ‘ऑल इण्डिया ट्रेड यूनियन कांग्रेस’ में लम्बे समय तक नरमपंथी वर्ग का नेतृत्व करते रहे.जोशी 1947 ई. में ‘केन्द्रीय वेतन आयोग’ के एक सदस्य भी रहे. उन्होंने समाज सेवा में भी रुचि ली तथा महिलाओं व बच्चों हेतु कई चिकित्सालयों की स्थापना करवाई. उन्होंने औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण के लिए भी विद्यालयों की स्थापना करवाई थी.
3. तूफान और बाढ़ से:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1882 में बॉम्बे (अब मुंबई) में तूफान और बाढ़ से करीब एक लाख लोगों की मौत हुई.
4. सिकन्दर हयात ख़ान:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1892 में स्वतंत्रता पूर्व औपनिवेशिक काल में पंजाब राज्य के प्रधानमंत्री सिकन्दर हयात ख़ान का जन्म मुल्तान,पंजाब में हुआ था. हयात ख़ान 5 अप्रॅल, 1937 से 25 दिसंबर, 1942, अपनी मृत्यु तक इस पद पर रहे। सिकन्दर हयात ख़ान यूनियन पार्टी के राजनीतिज्ञ थे.वह 1 अप्रॅल, 1935 से 20 अक्टूबर, 1935 तक भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक के उप-गवर्नर थे.

5.साहित्यकार गोविंद शंकर कुरुप:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1901 में मलयाली भाषा के एक साहित्यकार गोविंद शंकर कुरुप का जन्म केरल के एक गाँव नायतोट्ट में हुआ था. परिवार में वंश परंपरा मातृकुल से चलने की प्रथा होने के कारण इनका कुलनाम भी ‘कुरुप’ हुआ. 03 वर्ष की उम्र से उनकी शिक्षा आरंभ हुई. 08 वर्ष  तक की आयु में वे ‘अमर कोश’ ‘सिद्धरुपम’ ‘श्रीरामोदन्तम’ आदि ग्रन्थ कंठस्थ कर चुके थे और रघुवंश महाकाव्य के कई श्लोक पढ चुके थे. कुरुप ने कोचीन राज्य की ‘पंडित’ परीक्षा पास करके अध्यापन की योग्यता प्राप्त की. वह दो वर्ष तक यहाँ-वहाँ अध्यापन का काम भी करते रहे. उनके कविता संग्रह, साहित्य कौतुकम् के पहले भाग की कुछ कविताएँ इसी काल की हैं. कुरुप की काव्य कृति ‘ओट्क्कुषठ’ का प्रथम संस्करण वर्ष 1950 में प्रकाशित हुआ था. इसके मूल रूप में 60 कविताएँ थीं. वर्तमान रूप में 58 कविताएँ हैं. इन कविताओं के माध्यम से कवि के विभिन्न रूप भावों का परिचय मिलता है. कवि प्रकृति और उसकी शिव सुंदर रहस्यमयता की अनुभूति में प्रकृति के कण-कण और क्षण-क्षण की मुग्धकारी सौंदर्य छवि में परा चेतनशक्ति का आभास प्राप्त करता है. उसे जैसे साक्षात प्रतीति होती है, कि विराट प्रकृति और वह स्वयं एक अनादि व अनंत चैतन्य के अंश है.

6. सुब्रमण्यम रामास्वामी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1939 में भारतीय राज्य पुदुचेरी के भूतपूर्व चौथे मुख्यमंत्री सुब्रमण्यम रामास्वामी का जन्म हुआ था.
7. मास्टर मदन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1942 में ग़ज़ल और गीत व गायक मास्टर मदन का निधन हुआ था. उनके जीवन में केवल 8 गाने ही रिकॉर्ड हो पाये जो आज उपलब्ध है. जिनमें से सार्वजनिक रूप से केवल दो ही गानों की रिकॉर्डिंग सब जगह मिल पाती है.( यूँ न रह-रह कर हमें तरसाइये. २.हैरत से तक रहा है. )
8. प्रेम खंडु थंगुन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1946 में अरुणाचल प्रदेश के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री प्रेम खंडु थंगुन का जन्म हुआ था.
9. टेनिस खिलाड़ी रमेश कृष्णन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1961 में टेनिस प्रशिक्षक और पूर्व टेनिस खिलाड़ी रमेश कृष्णन का जन्म चैन्नई, भारत में हुआ था. इनके पिता रामनाथन कृष्णन भी प्रसिद्ध टेनिस खिलाड़ी रहे. रमेश कृष्णन ने अपने पिता की भांति भारत को अन्तरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर ख्याति दिलाई. उन्होंने अपने पिता का अनुसरण करते हुए वर्ष 1979 में जूनियर विंबलडन चैंपियनशिप जीत थी. जूनियर फ्रेंच टाइटल जीतकर वे नंबर एक जूनियर खिलाड़ी बन गए.
10. मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1972 में गोरखनाथ मन्दिर के महन्त और उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के 21वें मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ का जन्म उत्तराखण्ड के पौड़ी गढ़वाल जिले स्थित यमकेश्वर तहसील के पंचुर गाँव के एक गढ़वाली क्षत्रिय परिवार में जन्म हुआ था. इनके पिता का नाम आनन्द सिंह बिष्ट है जो एक फॉरेस्ट रेंजर थे, तथा इनकी मां का नाम सावित्री देवी है.अपनी माता-पिता के सात बच्चों में तीन बड़ी बहनों व एक बड़े भाई के बाद ये पांचवें थे एवं इनसे और दो छोटे भाई हैं.वर्ष 1977 में टिहरी के गजा के स्थानीय स्कूल में पढ़ाई शुरू की व वर्ष 1987 में यहाँ से दसवीं की परीक्षा पास की. वर्ष 1989 में ऋषिकेश के श्री भरत मन्दिर इण्टर कॉलेज से इन्होंने इंटरमीडिएट की परीक्षा पास की. वर्ष 1990 में ग्रेजुएशन की पढ़ाई करते हुए ये अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद से जुड़े. वर्ष 1992 में श्रीनगर के हेमवती नन्दन बहुगुणा गढ़वाल विश्वविद्यालय से इन्होंने गणित में बीएससी की परीक्षा पास की. कोटद्वार में रहने के दौरान इनके कमरे से सामान चोरी हो गया था जिसमें इनके सनत प्रमाण पत्र भी थे. इस कारण से गोरखपुर से विज्ञान स्नातकोत्तर करने का इनका प्रयास असफल रह गया. इसके बाद इन्होंने ऋषिकेश में पुनः विज्ञान स्नातकोत्तर में प्रवेश तो लिया लेकिन राम मंदिर आंदोलन का प्रभाव और प्रवेश को लेकर परेशानी से उनका ध्यान अन्य ओर बंट गया. वर्ष 1993 में गणित में एमएससी की पढ़ाई के दौरान गुरु गोरखनाथ पर शोध करने ये गोरखपुर आए[7] एवं गोरखपुर में अपने चाचा महंत अवैद्यनाथ के शरण में ही चले गए और दीक्षा ले ली. वर्ष 1994 में ये पूर्ण संन्यासी बन गए, जिसके बाद इनका नाम अजय सिंह बिष्ट से योगी आदित्यनाथ हो गया. वर्ष 1998 में योगी आदित्यनाथ गोरखपुर से भाजपा प्रत्याशी के तौर पर चुनाव लड़े और जीत गए. तब इनकी उम्र केवल 26 वर्ष थी. वे बारहवीं लोक सभा (1998-99) के सबसे युवा सांसद थे. वर्ष 1999 में ये गोरखपुर से पुनः सांसद चुने गए. अप्रैल 2002 में इन्होंने हिन्दू युवा वाहिनी बनायी. वर्ष 2004 में तीसरी बार लोकसभा का चुनाव जीता. वर्ष 2009 में ये 2 लाख से ज्यादा वोटों से जीतकर लोकसभा पहुंचे. वर्ष 2014 में पांचवी बार एक बार फिर से दो लाख से ज्यादा वोटों से जीतकर ये सांसद चुने गए.
11. ऑपरेशन ब्लू-स्टार: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1984 में सिखों के धर्म स्थल पंजाब के अमृतसर मे स्थित स्वर्ण मन्दिर मे ऑपरेशन ब्लू-स्टार को भारतीय सेना ने अंजाम दिया. भारतीय सेना द्वारा 03-06 जून 1984 को अमृतसर (पंजाब, भारत) स्थित हरिमंदिर साहिब परिसर को ख़ालिस्तान समर्थक जनरैल सिंह भिंडरावाले और उनके समर्थकों से मुक्त कराने के लिए चलाया गया अभियान था.
12. राम माधव अवस्थी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1996 में राम माधव अवस्थी का जन्म उत्तरकाशी उत्तराखंड में हुआ था. इनके पिता रोशन लाल अवस्थी हैं
13. कुबेरनाथ राय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1996 में कुबेरनाथ राय (ललित निबंध में विशिष्ट योगदान के लिए जाने जाते हैं) का निधन हुआ था.
14. साझा गश्त के:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2002 में भारत की सीमा पर साझा गश्त के प्रस्ताव को पाकिस्तान ने खारिज किया.
15. पुलिस भर्ती घोटाले:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय ने उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस भर्ती घोटाले की जाँच सीबीआई से कराने का भारत सरकार को निर्देश दिया.
16. अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबन्ध निदेशक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में एलेन परेरा ने बैंक ऑफ़ महाराष्ट्र के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबन्ध निदेशक का कार्यभार सम्भाला.
17. सुरक्षा अनुबंध नियम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2010 में भारत सरकार ने सुरक्षा अनुबंध नियम के संशोधित रूप को अधिसूचित कर हिस्सा बाजार में सूचीबद्ध कंपनियों में आम निवेशकों की कम-से-कम 25% हिस्सेदारी को अनिवार्य कर दिया.
18. कानून के तहत प्रतिबंधित:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2010 में भारत सरकार के गृह मंत्रालय ने इंडियन मुजाहिदीन को प्रतिबंधित स्टूडेंट्स इस्लामिक मूवमेंट ऑफ इंडिया की इकाई और पाकिस्तान स्थित लश्कर-ए-तैयबा से संबंध के कारण आतंकवादी संगठन घोषित करते हुए इसे गैरकानूनी गतिविधि (रोकथाम) कानून के तहत प्रतिबंधित कर दिया.
19. बिजली गिरने:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2013 में बिहार में बिजली गिरने से 44 लोगों की मौत हुई.
20. सफल प्रक्षेपण:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2017 में सबसे भारी रॉकेट जीएसएलवी मार्क-3 डी-1 का सफल प्रक्षेपण हुआ था.
21. वेद मारवाह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2020 में दिल्ली पुलिस के पूर्व कमिश्नर वेद मारवाह का निधन हुआ था.

1. Mughal ruler sat on the throne: – On this day in the year 1659, Mughal ruler Aurangzeb officially sat on the throne of Delhi.
2. N. M. Joshi:- On this day in the year 1879, the founder of the ‘Trade Union Movement’ in India, N. M. Joshi was born. Joshi was counted among the major labor leaders of the 20th century. Joshi continued to lead the moderate class in the ‘All India Trade Union Congress for a long time. Joshi was also a member of the ‘Central Pay Commission’ in 1947 AD. He also took an interest in social service and established many hospitals for women and children. He also established schools for industrial training.
3. Due to storm and flood: – On this day in the year 1882, about one lakh people died due to storm and flood in Bombay (now Mumbai).
4. Sikandar Hayat Khan:- On this day in the year 1892, the Prime Minister of Punjab state in the pre-independence colonial period, Sikandar Hayat Khan was born in Multan, Punjab. Hayat Khan held this position from April 5, 1937, until his death on December 25, 1942. Sikandar Hayat Khan was a Union Party politician. He was the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India from April 1, 1935, to October 20, 1935.
5. Writer Govind Shankar Kurup:- On this day in the year 1901, Govind Shankar Kurup, a writer of the Malayalam language, was born in Nayottut, a village in Kerala. Due to the practice of running the lineage tradition in the family from the mother’s family, his surname also became ‘Kurup’. His education started at the age of 03. At the age of 08, he had memorized the books ‘Amar Kosh’ ‘Siddarupam’ ‘Shriramodantam’ etc. and had read many verses of the Raghuvansh epic. Kurup obtained the qualification of teaching by passing the ‘Pandit’ examination of Cochin State. He continued to do teaching work here and there for two years. Some of the poems in the first part of his poetry collection, Sahitya Kautakum, belong to this period. The first edition of Kurup’s poetry work ‘Otkkushath’ was published in the year 1950. It originally had 60 poems. There are 58 poems in the present form. Through these poems, we get an introduction to the various forms and expressions of the poet. The poet gets a sense of the Supreme Consciousness in the mesmerizing beauty of every particle and every moment of nature, in the feeling of nature and Shiva’s beautiful mystery. It seems to him that the vast nature and he himself a part of the eternal and infinite consciousness.
6. Subramaniam Ramaswamy:- On this day in the year 1939, Subramaniam Ramaswamy, the former fourth Chief Minister of the Indian state of Puducherry, was born.
7. Master Madan:- On this day in the year 1942, Ghazal and Geet and singer Master Madan passed away. Only 8 songs could be recorded in his life which are available today. Recordings of only two songs are publicly available everywhere.
8. Prem Khandu Thangun:- On this day in the year 1946, the first Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Prem Khandu Thangun was born.
9. Tennis player Ramesh Krishnan:- On this day in the year 1961, tennis coach and former tennis player Ramesh Krishnan was born in Chennai, India. His father Ramanathan Krishnan was also a famous tennis player. Ramesh Krishnan, like his father, brought fame to India at the international level. He won the Junior Wimbledon Championship in the year 1979, following his father. He became the number one junior player by winning the Junior French title.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath:- On this day in the year 1972, Yogi Adityanath, Mahant of Gorakhnath Temple and 21st Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh state, was born in a Garhwali Kshatriya family of Panchur village of Yamkeshwar tehsil, Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. His father’s name is Anand Singh Bisht, who was a forest ranger, and his mother’s name is Savitri Devi. He was the fifth of seven children of his parents after three elder sisters and an elder brother and has two younger brothers. In the year 1977, he started studying in the local school of Gaja, Tehri, and in the year 1987 passed the tenth examination here. In the year 1989, he passed his intermediate examination at Shri Bharat Mandir Inter College, Rishikesh. While pursuing graduation in the year 1990, he joined Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. In the year 1992, he passed B.Sc in Mathematics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar. During his stay in Kotdwar, things stolen from his room, in which his sanat certificates were also there. For this reason, his attempt to do science post-graduation from Gorakhpur failed. After this, he again took admission to Post-Science in Rishikesh, but due to the effect of the Ram Mandir movement and problems regarding admission, his attention was diverted. In the year 1993, while studying for MSc in Mathematics, he came to Gorakhpur to do research on Guru Gorakhnath [7] and went to the shelter of his uncle Mahant Avaidyanath in Gorakhpur and took initiation. He became a complete monk in the year 1994, after which his name changed from Ajay Singh Bisht to Yogi Adityanath. In the year 1998, Yogi Adityanath contested from Gorakhpur as a BJP candidate and won. Then his age was only 26 years. He was the youngest member of the 12th Lok Sabha (1998–99). In the year 1999, he was re-elected as MP from Gorakhpur. In April 2002, he formed the Hindu Yuva Vahini. Won the Lok Sabha election for the third time in the year 2004. In the year 2009, he reached the Lok Sabha by winning with more than 2 lakh votes. In the year 2014, this MP was elected for the fifth time once again by winning more than two lakh votes.
11. Operation Blue Star: – On this day in the year 1984, the Indian Army executed Operation Blue Star at the Golden Temple located in Amritsar, Punjab, the religious place of Sikhs. It was a campaign launched by the Indian Army on 03-06 June 1984 to free the Harimandir Sahib complex located in Amritsar (Punjab, India) from Khalistan supporter Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and his supporters.
