  1. बाबूलाल गौर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1930 में बाबूलाल गौर का जन्म नौगीर ग्राम, प्रतापगढ़ ज़िला (उत्तर प्रदेश) में हुआ था. इनके पिता का नाम श्री रामप्रसाद था. बाबूलाल गौर ने अपनी शैक्षणिक योग्यताओं में बी.ए. और एल.एल.बी. की डिग्रियाँ प्राप्त की हैं. गौर पहली बार 1974 में भोपाल दक्षिण विधानसभा क्षेत्र के उपचुनाव में जनता समर्थित उम्मीदवार के रूप में निर्दलीय विधायक चुने गये थे. गौर ‘भारतीय मज़दूर संघ’ के संस्थापक सदस्य हैं. वे मध्य प्रदेश के भूतपूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हैं, जिनका प्रदेश की राजनीति में प्रमुख स्थान रहा है. बाबूलाल गौर वर्ष 1946 से ही ‘राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ’ से जुड़ गए थे. वर्ष 1974 में मध्य प्रदेश शासन द्वारा बाबूलाल गौर को ‘गोवा मुक्ति आन्दोलन’ में शामिल होने के कारण ‘स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी’ का सम्मान प्रदान किया गया था.
  2. बलबीर सिंह जूनियर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1932 में भारतीय हॉकी टीम के भूतपूर्व खिलाड़ी बलबीर सिंह जूनियर का जन्म जालंधर के संसारपुर में हुआ था. उन्होंने छह वर्ष की उम्र से हॉकी खेलना सीखे. उनका 1951 में पहली बार भारतीय टीम में चयन हुआ था. बलबीर सिंह ने वर्ष 1962 में भारतीय सेना से जुड़े और सेना की टीम के लिये खेलते रहे. वर्ष 1958 में जापान के टोक्यो में आयोजित एशियाई खेलों में रजत जीतने वाली भारतीय टीम का वह हिस्सा थे.
  3. इलैयाराजा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1943 में फ़िल्मों के प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार, गीतकार तथा गायक इलैयाराजा का जन्म तमिलनाडु के तेनी जिले में पनिपुरम के एक गरीब ग्रामीण दलित परिवार में हुआ था. इलैयाराजा डैनियल रामास्वामी और चिन्नाथयमल के तीसरे बेटे थे. उनका बचपन गांव में ही बीता. बचपन से ही तमिल लोक संगीत को सुनना बेहद पसंद था.वर्ष 1968 में इलैयाराजा ने मद्रास (अब चेन्नई) में प्रोफेसर धनराज के साथ एक संगीत पाठ्यक्रम शुरू किया, जिसमें पश्चिमी शास्त्रीय संगीत का एक सिंहावलोकन, काउंटरपॉइंट जैसी तकनीकों में रचनात्मक प्रशिक्षण और वाद्य प्रदर्शन में अध्ययन शामिल था. इलैयाराजा ने शास्त्रीय गिटार में विशिष्ट और लंदन के ट्रिनिटी कॉलेज ऑफ म्यूजिक के साथ इसमें एक कोर्स भी किया. ‘पल्लवी अनुपल्लवी’ एक ऐसी प्रेम कहानी पर आधारित फिल्म थी, जिसमें कम उम्र का युवक एक शादीशुदा महिला के प्यार में पड़ जाता है, जो अपने पति से अलग हो चुकी होती है. परिवारिक बाध्यताएं, सामाजिक बेड़ियों और कई समस्याओं से संघर्ष करती कहानी फिल्म को दिलचस्प बनाती है. इन सबके बीच प्यार की नई परिभाषा भी तलाशती है.
  4. अनंत गीते:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1951 में प्रसिद्ध राजनीतिज्ञ अनंत गीते का जन्म हुआ था.
  5. मणिरत्नम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1955-56 में फ़िल्म निर्माता-निर्देशक मणिरत्नम का जन्म तमिलनाडु के मदुरई में हुआ था. बहुत ही कम लोगों को मालूम है कि उनका पूरा नाम गोपाल रत्नम सुब्रमणियम है. मणिरत्नम ने स्कूली शिक्षा चेन्नई में रहकर पूरी की. उन्होंने ‘मद्रास विश्वविद्यालय’ से कॉमर्स क्षेत्र में स्नातक की उपाधि हासिल की. फिल्म बनाने से पहले उन्होंने ‘जमना लाल बजाज इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ़ मैनेजमेंट स्टडी’ से एमबीए करके मैनेजमेंट कंसल्टेंट का काम किया. फिल्मों को वास्तविकता से रूबरू कराने वाले मणिरत्नम के दो भाई किसी दुर्घटना की वजह से उनके दोनों भाई इस दुनिया में नहीं रहे. मणिरत्नम का विवाह राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता सुहासनी से 1988 में हुआ. सुहासनी प्रख्यात अभिनेता कमल हसन की भतीजी और चारु हासन की बेटी हैं. फिल्में बनाने से पहले मणिरत्नम फिल्म सहायक के तौर पर भी काम कर चुके थे. फिल्म निर्देशक के रूप में उनकी पहली फिल्म कन्नड़ में ‘पल्लवी अनु पल्लवी’ थी, जिसमें अभिनेता अनिल कपूर और लक्ष्मी ने काम किया.णिरत्नम जिस तरह से दक्षिण के एक विख्यात निर्देशक हैं, उसी तरह से वह बॉलीवुड के जाने माने फ़िल्मकार भी हैं.मणिरत्नम को अब तक छह राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिल चुके हैं.
  6. नन्दन नीलेकणी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1955 में भारतीय उपक्रमी, नौकरशाह, नेता और प्रसिद्ध सॉफ़्टवेयर कम्पनी ‘इन्फ़ोसिस’ के सह-संस्थापक सदस्य नन्दन नीलेकणी का जन्म हुआ था.
  7. तमिलसाई सुंदरराजन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1961 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी की राजनीतिज्ञ तमिलसाई सुंदरराजन का जन्म हुआ था.
  8. नटराजन चंद्रशेखर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1963 में भारतीय व्यवसायी नटराजन चंद्रशेखर का जन्म हुआ था.
  9. डोला बनर्जी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1980 में तीरंदाज़ महिला खिलाड़ी डोला बनर्जी का जन्म झारखंड में हुआ था. कभी भारत में तीरंदाज़ी को मुख्य रूप से पुरुषों का खेल समझा जाता है, लेकिन डोला बनर्जी ने इस खेल में न सिर्फ भाग लिया, बल्कि अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सफलता भी अर्जित की.डोला ने वर्ष 2005 में टर्की के अंतल्य में हुआ 18वां गोल्डन एरो ग्रैंड पिक्स टूर्नामेंट जीतकर डोला ने इतिहास रच डाला.
  10. विश्वनाथ दास:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1984 में भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ एवं ब्रिटिश भारत उड़ीसा प्रान्त के मुख्यमंत्री विश्वनाथ दास का निधन हुआ था.
  11. राज कपूर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1988 में भारतीय निर्माता, निर्देशक अभिनेता राज कपूर का निधन हुआ था. अपनी शुरूआती फ़िल्मों से लेकर प्रेम कहानियों को मादक अंदाज से परदे पर पेश करके उन्होंने हिंदी फ़िल्मों के लिए जो रास्ता तय किया, इस पर उनके बाद कई फ़िल्मकार चले.राज कपूर की फ़िल्मों की कहानियां आमतौर पर उनके जीवन से जुड़ी होती थीं और अपनी ज्यादातर फ़िल्मों के मुख्य नायक वे खुद होते थे.रूस जो “हाफ ग्लास वाटर” थ्योरी ( हाफ ग्लास थ्योरी वही थी जिसे आज “फ्री सेक्स” कहा जाता है. वर्ष 1935 में मात्र 11 वर्ष की उम्र में राजकपूर ने फ़िल्म ‘इंकलाब’ में अभिनय किया था. उस समय वे बॉम्बे टॉकीज़ स्टुडिओ में सहायक का काम करते थे. वे केदार शर्मा के साथ क्लैपर ब्वाॅय का कार्य करने लगे. कुछ लोगों का मानना है कि उनके पिता पृथ्वीराज कपूर को विश्वास नहीं था कि राज कपूर कुछ विशेष कार्य कर पायेगा, इसीलिये उन्होंने उसे सहायक या क्लैपर बोयाय जैसे छोटे काम में लगवा दिया था. उस समय के प्रसिद्ध निर्देशक केदार शर्मा ने राज कपूर के भीतर के अभिनय क्षमता और लगन को पहचाना और उन्होंने राज कपूर को वर्ष1947 में अपनी फ़िल्म ‘नीलकमल’ में नायक की भूमिका दी.
  12. श्रीकांत जिचकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2004 में श्रीकांत जिचकर ने 42 यूनिवर्सिटी में शिक्षा प्राप्त की थी.
  13. ब्लादीवोस्तोक सम्मेलन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2005 में भारत, रूस और चीन का ब्लादीवोस्तोक सम्मेलन समाप्त.
  14. विश्नोई ने इस्तीफ़ा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में मध्य प्रदेश के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री अजय विश्नोई ने इस्तीफ़ा दिया.
  15. अधिग्रहण का सौदा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में टाटा मोटर्स लिमिटेड ने फोर्ड मोटर कम्पनी के दो ब्रांडों ‘जगुआर’ व ‘लैंड’ रोवर के अधिग्रहण का सौदा पूरा किया.
  16. महानिशेदक नियुक्त:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल नरेश कुमार परमार को थल सेना की चिकित्सा सेवा का महानिशेदक नियुक्त किया गया.
  17. राजीव गांधी आवास योजना:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2011 में भारत सरकार ने शहरी क्षेत्रों में झुग्गी झोपडियों से मुक्ति दिलाने और गरीबों को अपने घर का सपना पूरा कराने में सहायता के लिए राजीव गांधी आवास योजना के पहले चरण को मंजूरी दी.

  1. Babulal Gaur:- On this day in the year 1930, Babulal Gaur was born in Naugir village, Pratapgarh district (Uttar Pradesh). His father’s name was Shri Ramprasad.   2. Balbir Singh Junior:- On this day in the year 1932, former Indian hockey team player Balbir Singh Junior was born in Sansarpur, Jalandhar. He learned to play hockey from the age of six. He was selected for the Indian team for the first time in Balbir Singh joined the Indian Army in the year 1962 and continued to play for the army team. He was part of the Indian team that won silver in the Asian Games held in Tokyo, Japan in the year 1958.
  3. Ilaiyaraaja:- On this day in the year 1943, the famous film composer, lyricist, and singer Ilaiyaraaja was born in a poor rural Dalit family of Panipuram in the Theni district of Tamil Nadu. Ilaiyaraaja was the third son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayamal. His childhood was spent in the village itself. As a child, I was very fond of listening to Tamil folk music. In 1968, Ilaiyaraaja started a music course with Professor Dhanraj in Madras (now Chennai), which included an overview of Western classical music, compositional training in techniques such as counterpoint, and instrumental performance. the study was included.
