- गुरु हरराय: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1661 में सिक्खों के सातवें गुरु ‘गुरु हरराय’ का निधन हुआ था.
- नेकसियर: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1679 में नेकसियर का जन्म हुआ था. नेकसियर का पूरा नाम मुहम्मद शाह नेकसियर तैमूर द्वितीय पादशाह ज़मान था. नेकसियरऔरंगज़ेब का पौत्र और अकबर द्वितीय का पुत्र था.
- स्वतंत्रता सेनानी नाना साहब: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1858 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी नाना साहब का निधन हुआ था.
- दंड संहिता कानून: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1862 में भारतीय दण्ड संहिता ब्रिटिश काल में लागू हुई थी.
- स्वतंत्रता सेनानी हुसैन अहमद मदनी: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1879 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी हुसैन अहमद मदनी का जन्म बंगर्मौ जिला उन्नाव में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम सयाद हबीबुल्लाह था जो कि पैगंबर मुहम्मद के वंशज थे.
- वैज्ञानिक मेघनाथ साहा: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1893 में का जन्म ढाका (वर्तमान बांग्लादेश) से लगभग 45 किलोमीटर दूर शाओराटोली गाँव में एक ग़रीब परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम जगन्नाथ साहा तथा माता का नाम भुवनेश्वरी देवी था. वर्ष 1917 में मेघनाथ साहा कोलकाता के यूनिवर्सिटी कॉलेज ऑफ़ साइंस में प्राध्यापक के तौर पर नियुक्त हुए साथ ही वहीं पर वो क्वांटम फिजिक्स पढ़ाते थे. वर्ष 1919 में अमेरिकी खगोल भौतिकी जर्नल में मेघनाद साहा का एक शोध पत्र छपा. इस शोध पत्र में साहा ने “आयनीकरण फार्मूला” को प्रतिपादित किया था. इस शोध से पूरी दुनिया का ध्यान अपनी और आकृष्ट किया था.
- आध्यात्मिक गुरु कृपालु महाराज: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1893 में आध्यात्मिक गुरु कृपालु महाराज का जन्म प्रतापगढ़ जिले की कुंडा तहसील के मनगढ़ गांव में हुआ था. उन्होंने मनगढ़ के स्कूल से 7वीं तक की पढ़ाई की थी. बताते चलें कि, उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रतापगढ़ के मनगढ स्थित सुप्रसिद्ध भक्ति धाम तथा मथुरा जिला के वृन्दावन स्थित प्रेम मंदिर का निर्माण कृपालु महाराज ने ही करवाया था.
- पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री भजन लाल: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1930 में कोतवाली, पंजाब के बिश्नोई जाट किसान परिवार में हुआ था. आगे चलकर वर्ष 1977 में जनता पार्टी में शामिल होने के लिए भजन लाल ने मोरारजी देसाई के घर 18 किलो घी के तीन पीपे भिजवाए थे. वर्ष 1991-1996 तक फिर भजन लाल हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री रहे.
- अम्पायर डी घोष: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1935 में अम्पायर डी घोष का जन्म हुआ था. उन्होंने करीब 32 सालों तक अंपायरिंग की.
- पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री जीतनराम माँझी: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1944 में बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री जीतनराम माँझी का जन्म गया जिले की खिजरसराय के महकार गाँव में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम रामजीत राम मांझी है जो खेतिहर मजदूर थे. उन्होंने वर्ष 1966 में गया महाविद्यालय से स्नातक तक की शिक्षा प्राप्त की. वर्ष 1966 में उन्होंने लिपिक की नौकरी करना आरम्भ किया और वर्ष 1980 में नौकरी छोड़ दी. मांझी नौकरी छोड़ने के बाद राजनीति में कदम रखा और वर्ष 1980 में विधायक चुने गये. वर्ष 2014 में मांझी बिहार के 23वे मुख्यमंत्री बने थे.
- अभिनेता एवं राजनीतिज्ञ विनोद खन्ना: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1946 में अभिनेता विनोद खन्ना का जन्म जन्म पेशावर (ब्रितानी भारत) में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम किशनचंद खन्ना और माता का नाम कमला था. वर्ष 1947 में विभाजन के बाद उनका परिवार पेशावर से मुम्बई आ गया था. वर्ष 1960 के बाद की उनकी स्कूली शिक्षा नासिक के एक बोर्डिग स्कूल में हुई वहीं उन्होने सिध्देहम कॉलेज से कॉमर्स से ग्रेजुएशन किया था. विनोद खन्ना ने अपने अभिनय कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1968 में आई फिल्म “मन का मीत” से की थी. विनोद खन्ना को फिल्मों में उनके बेहतरीन अभिनय के लिये दादा साहेब पुरस्कार एवं फिल्म फेयर का पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था.
- स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बाबा खड़क सिंह: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1963 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बाबा खड़क सिंह का जन्म सियालकोट, पंजाब (अब पाकिस्तान में) ब्रिटिश भारत में हुआ था. उनके पिता, राय बहादुर सरदार हरि सिंह, एक धनी ठेकेदार और उद्योगपति थे. उन्होंने प्राथमिक शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के बाद, उन्होंने लाहौर विश्वविद्यालय स्नातक उत्तीर्ण किया था.

- Neksiyar:- Neksiyar was born on this day in the year 1679. Neksiyar’s full name was Muhammad Shah Neksiyar Taimur II Padshah Zaman. Neksiyar was the grandson of Aurangzeb and son of Akbar II.

In the year 1917, Meghnath Saha was appointed as a professor in the University College of Science, Kolkata and he used to teach quantum physics there. In 1919, a research paper by Meghnad Saha was published in the American Astrophysical Journal. In this research paper, Saha propounded the “Ionization Formula”. This research attracted the attention of the whole world.
- Spiritual Guru Kripalu Maharaj: – On this day in the year 1893, Spiritual Guru Kripalu Maharaj was born in Mangarh village of Kunda tehsil of Pratapgarh district. He studied till 7th class from Mangarh school. Let us tell you that the famous Bhakti Dham at Mangarh in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh and the Prem Mandir at Vrindavan in Mathura district were built by Kripalu Maharaj.

Later, to join the Janata Party in the year 1977, Bhajan Lal sent three barrels of 18 kg ghee to Morarji Desai’s house. Bhajan Lal was the Chief Minister of Haryana again from 1991-1996.
