1. समाज सुधारक टी. के. माधवन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1885 में समाज सुधारक टी. के. माधवन का जन्म केरल के तिरुवनंतपुरम में हुआ था.
2. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी दरोगा प्रसाद राय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1922 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी दरोगा प्रसाद राय का जन्म हुआ था. दरोगा प्रसाद राय कांग्रेसी थे. उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री के पद पर रहकर बिहार की सेवा की साथ ही उनकी सोच पिछड़ों को समाज की मुख्यधारा में लाने की थी. वे सामजिक न्याय के भी पक्षधर थे.
3. राजनीतिज्ञ शांता कुमार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1934 में राजनीतिज्ञ शांता कुमार का जन्म हुआ था. बताते चलें कि, शांता कुमार ऐसे मुख्यमंत्री हैं जो खुद के अपने एक वोट की बदौलत मुख्यमंत्री बनकर इतिहास रचा था.
4. अभिनेत्री साधना शिवदासानी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1934 में अभिनेत्री साधना शिवदासानी का जन्म कराची , पाकिस्तान में हुआ था. उनके के पिता का नाम शेवाराम और माता का नाम लाली देवी था. माता-पिता की एकमात्र संतान होने के कारण साधना का बचपन बड़े प्यार के साथ व्यतीत हुआ था. वर्ष 1947 में भारत के बंटवारे के बाद उनका परिवार कराची छोड़कर मुंबई आ गया था. साधना शिवदासानी ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1955 में आई फिल्म श्री 420 से की थी. वर्ष 1960 में आई फिल्म लव इन शिमला ने उन्हे बुलंदियों तक पहुंचा दिया था. वर्ष 1963 में, एच. एस. रवैल द्वारा निर्देशित टेक्नीकलर फ़िल्म ‘मेरे मेहबूब’ साधना के फ़िल्मी कैरियर की ब्लॉकबस्टर फ़िल्म थी. साधना को  हिन्दी सिनेमा के इतिहास में सबसे बेहतरीन अभिनेत्रियों में गिना जाता है.
5. अंतरिम भारत सरकार का गठन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1946 में जवाहर लाल नेहरू के उप सभापतित्व में अंतरिम भारत सरकार का गठन हुआ था.
6. साहित्यकार अमरनाथ झा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1955 में साहित्यकार अमरनाथ झा का निधन हुआ था.
7. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी हबीब उर रहमान लुधियानवी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1956 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी हबीब उर रहमान लुधियानवी का निधन हुआ था.
8. पुल ढहने से:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1956 में हैदराबाद से सौ किलोमीटर दूर जडचेराला और महबूब नगर के बीच पुल ढहने से 125 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी.
9. फ़िल्म निर्माता पार्थो सेन गुप्ता:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1965 में फ़िल्म निर्माता पार्थो सेन गुप्ता का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ था. पार्थो सेन गुप्ता एक स्वतंत्र फिल्म निर्देशक और पटकथा लेखक हैं.
10. अभिनेत्री अल्का कौशल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1969 में दिल्ली के विश्वा मोहन एस बडोला और सुशीला बडोला प्रतिष्ठित स्टेज कलाकार के घर में हुआ था. अल्का टीवी की दुनिया में नेगेटिव किरदार के लिए जानी जाती हैं साथ ही उन्होंने कई फिल्मों में सहायक अभिनेत्री का किरदार निभा चुकी हैं. अल्का ने अपने टीवी कैरियर की शुरुआत रमेश सिप्पी के शो से की थी लेकिन, टीवी की दुनिया में अल्का को पहचान कुमकुम और कुबूल है से मिली थी. अल्का ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म क्वीन से की थी.

12. अभिनेता पवन कल्याण:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1971 में अभिनेता पवन कल्याण का जन्म बापतला, आंध्र प्रदेश में हुआ था. उनका वास्तविक नाम कोनिडेला कल्याण बाबू है. पवन ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1996 में “अक्कादा अम्मयी इक्कादा अब्बायिक” नमक तेलुगु फिल्म से शुरू की थी.
13. साहित्यकार विष्णु सखाराम खांडेकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1976 में मराठी भाषा के साहित्यकार विष्णु सखाराम खांडेकर का निधन हुआ था.
14. अभिनेत्री उदित गोस्वामी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1984 में अभिनेत्री उदित गोस्वामी का जन्म उत्तराखंड के गढ़वाल में हुआ था. उनकी प्रारम्भिक पढ़ाई काठमांडू और देहरादून से हुई थी. उदिता गोस्वामी ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत मॉडलिंग से की थी. फिल्मों में आने से पहले वह कोरियोग्राफर अहमद खान के वीडियो सांग वह क्या खूब लगती हो में भी नजर आ चुकीं हैं. उदिता ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म पाप से किया था.
15. क्रिकेटर इशांत शर्मा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1988 में क्रिकेटर इशांत शर्मा का जन्म दिल्ली में हुआ था. ईशांत शर्मा वनडे में सबसे तेज 100 विकेट लेने वाले पांचवें भारतीय बने थे.
16. पार्श्वगायक इश्मीत सिंह सोढ़ी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1989 में पार्श्वगायक इश्मीत सिंह सोढ़ी का जन्म लुधियाना, पंजाब में हुआ था. भारत के सबसे प्रतिभाशाली नवोदित गायकों में से एक थे इश्मीत सिंह सोढ़ी. स्टार प्लस के रियलिटी शो वॉयस ऑफ इंडिया के वर्ष 2007 के विजेता गायक लुधियाना के इश्मित सिंह लखनऊ के हर्षित सक्सेना को हराकर हिंदुस्तान की आवाज बने थे.
17. पहली महिला भारतीय वायुसेना पायलट हरिता कौर दयाल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1994 में भारत की पहली महिला भारतीय वायुसेना पायलट हरिता कौर दयाल ने अपनी पहली उड़ान भरी थी.
18. तैराक बुला चौधरी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1999 में भारतीय तैराक बुला चौधरी इंग्लिश चैनल दो बार पार करने वाली प्रथम एशियाई महिला बनीं थी.
19. सरस्वती सम्मान देने की घोषणा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में कानपुर विश्वविद्यालय के पूर्व कुलपति प्रो.बी.एन.अस्थाना को उत्तर प्रदेश उच्च शिक्षा विभाग की ओर से सरस्वती सम्मान देने की घोषणा की गई थी.
20. उड़ान भरने के बाद लापता:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2009 में आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री वाई. एस. रेड्डी को ले जा रहा हेलीकाप्टर उड़ान भरने के बाद लापता हो गया था. इस घटना में आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के राजनेता वाइ एस राजशेखर रेड्डी की मृत्यु हो गई थी.
