1. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी टी. प्रकाशम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1872 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी टी. प्रकाशम का जन्म गुन्टूर ज़िले के कनपर्ती नामक गाँव में हुआ था. उनका पूरा नाम टंगटूरी प्रकाशम था. उनके पिता का नाम पिता ‘गोपाल कृष्णैया है. टी. प्रकाशम के पिता देहांत हो जाने के कारण माँ ने एक होटल खोलकर बड़े परिश्रम से उनका पालन-पोषण किया था. मद्रास से क़ानून की शिक्षा प्राप्त करके उन्होंने राजामुंद्री में वकालत शुरू की थी. टी. प्रकाशम ने ‘लॉ टाइम्स’ नामक पत्र का भी संपादन किया था. टी. प्रकाशम प्रिवी कौंसिल में मुकदमा लड़ने के लिए दो बार इंग्लैण्ड भी गए. वहाँ उनकी भेंट प्रथम बार गाँधी जी से हुई और गाँधी जी के विचारों से काफी प्रभावित हुए थे. देश की स्वाधीनता के लिए गाँधी जी ने जो पहला आंदोलन आरंभ किया, टी. प्रकाशम भी अपनी बैरिस्टरी त्यागकर आंदोलन में सम्मिलित हो गए. वर्ष 1921 में आंध्र प्रदेश में कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष बने और करीब 13 वर्षों तक वे आंध्र प्रदेश में कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष रहे. भाषावार प्रदेशों के गठन के आधार पर अलग आंध्र प्रदेश की स्थापना के लिए पोट्ठि श्रीरामालू ने वर्ष 1952 में आत्मदाह कर लिया जिसके बाद वर्ष 1953 को आंध्र का क्षेत्र मद्रास से अलग करके नया राज्य बना दिया गया था. इस नए राज्य के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री आंध्र केसरी टी. प्रकाशम ही बने थे.
2. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी राजकुमार शुक्ल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1875 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी राजकुमार शुक्ल का जन्म बिहार के चंपारण मुरली भराहावा ग्राम में हुआ था. इनके पिता का नाम कोलाहल शुक्ल था. एक जिद्दी किसान की वजह से मोहनदास करमचंद गांधी चम्पारण आकर सत्याग्रह और अहिंसा के अपने आजमाए हुए अस्र का पहला प्रयोग चंपारण की धरती पर ही किया. परिणाम यह हुआ कि चार महीने बाद ही चंपारण के किसानों को जबरदस्ती नील की खेती करने से हमेशा के लिए मुक्ति मिल गई. अगर राजकुमार शुक्ल की जिद ना होती तो चंपारण आंदोलन से गांधी का जुड़ाव शायद ही संभव हो पाता.
3. राजनीतिज्ञ बलराम जाखड़:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1923 में बलराम जाखड़ का जन्म फिरोजपुर जिले के पंचकोसी गाँव में हुआ था. उन्होंने राजस्थान के ज़िले सीकर से भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस पार्टी का लोकसभा में प्रतिनिधित्व किया और वर्ष 1980 से 10 सालों तक लोकसभा अध्यक्ष रहे.
4. अभिनेत्री सायरा बानो:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1944 में सायरा बानो का जन्म ब्रिटिश भारत के मसूरी में हुआ था. सायरा के पिता का नाम फिल्म निर्माता मियां एहसान-उल-हक और का नाम फिल्म अभिनेत्री नसीम बानो था. सायरा ने अपने प्रारंभिक जीवन का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा लंदन, ब्रिटेन में बिताया था. सायरा ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत महज 16 वर्ष की उम्र में फ़िल्म ‘जंगल’ में डेब्यू किया था. उनके बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन से सायरा को फिल्म फेयर पुरस्कार के लिए नामांकित किया गया था. वर्ष 1960 के दशक में सायरा की कई सुपरहिट फ़िल्में बॉक्स ऑफिस पर धूम मचाने लगी थी. सायरा बानो ने वर्ष 1966 में 22 साल की उम्र में दिलीप कुमार से शादी की थी जबकि, स समय दिलीप कुमार खुद 44 साल के थे.
5. उप प्रधानमंत्री बने:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1947 में वल्लभभाई पटेल भारत के उप प्रधानमंत्री बने थे.
6. राजनीतिज्ञ सुखदेव नंदाजी काले:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1955 में नौवीं लोकसभा के सदस्य सुखदेव नंदाजी काले का जन्म चिंचोली, बुलढाणा जिला में हुआ था.
7. अभिनेत्री गौहर खान:-आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1983 में अभिनेत्री गौहर खान का जन्म पुणे महाराष्ट्र मे एक मुस्लिम परिवार में हुआ था. उनकी मां का नाम रजिया जफर है. गौहर ने अपनी प्रारंभिक पढाई माउंट कार्मेल कान्वेंट स्कूल से पूरी की है. इसके बाद उन्‍होंने नेस वाडिया कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स से स्‍नातक की डिग्री प्राप्‍त की.पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद गौहर ने  अपना कैरियर मॉडलिंग और अभिनय के क्षेत्र में आगे बढ़ाया. वर्ष 2012 में गौहर फेमिना मिस इंडिया का हिस्सा बनी थीं, जहां वह चौथे स्थान पर रहीं उसके बाद गौहर ने मिस इंटरनेशनल कांटेस्ट में भाग लिया था. वर्ष 2013 में गौहर टीवी की दुनिया के सबसे बड़े कंट्रोवर्सियल शो बोग बॉस का हिस्सा बनीं और विजेता भी रहीं. गौहर खान ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 2009 में यशराज फिल्म्स प्रोडक्शन की फिल्म राकेट सिंह: सेल्समैन ऑफ़ द इयर से की थी.
8. अभिनेत्री वानी कपूर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1988 में अभिनेत्री वानी कपूर का जन्म राजधानी दिल्ली में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम शिव कपूर है जोकि बिजनेसमैन हैं और उनकी माँ का नाम डिम्पी कपूर है जो कि मार्केटिंग एग्जीक्यूटिव हैं. वाणी ने अपनी प्रारंभिक पढ़ाई माता जय कौर पब्लिक स्कूल, अशोक विहार दिल्ली से पूरी की है. उन्होंने अपनी बैचलर इन टूरिज्म की पढ़ाई इग्नू से की. पढ़ाई पूरी होने के बाद उन्होंने ओबेरॉय होटल्स में अपनी इंटरशिप के बाद आईटीसी के होटल्स में काम किया. वाणी कपूर ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत छोटे पर्दे के शो राजुबेन से की थी.वाणी को फिल्म शुद्ध देसी रोमांस के लिए ऑडिशन के जरिये चुना गया था. वाणी को फिल्म शुद्ध देसी रोमांस के लिए फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड बेस्ट डेब्यू इन फीमेल से भी नवाजा गया था.
9. पूनिया हत्याकान्ड:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2001 में राजनेता रेलू राम पूनिया और उनके परिवार के सात सदस्यों की सामूहिक हत्या हुई थी.
10. बाबूलाल गौर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2004 में बाबूलाल गौर ने मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में शपथ ली थी. उनका कार्यकाल 23 अगस्त, 2004 से 29 नवंबर, 2005 तक था.
11. विश्व स्मृति रजिस्टर में:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2007 में पुणे के भंडारकर ओरिएंटल रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट में संरक्षित ऋग्वेद की 30 पांडुलिपियों को यूनेस्को की मेमोरी ऑफ द वर्ल्ड रजिस्टर में जोड़ा गया था.
12. इस्तीफा दिया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में झारखण्ड के मुख्यमंत्री मधुकोड़ा ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दिया था.

1. Freedom fighter T. Prakasam:- On this day in the year 1872, freedom fighter T. Prakasam was born in a village named Kanparti in Guntur district. His full name was Tangturi Prakasam. His father’s name is father ‘Gopal Krishnaiah’. Due to the death of T. Prakasam’s father, the mother opened a hotel and nurtured him with great effort. After receiving a law education from Madras, he started practicing law in Rajahmundry. T. Prakasam also edited a paper named ‘Law Times’. T. Prakasam also went to England twice to fight the case in the Privy Council. There he met Gandhiji for the first time and was greatly influenced by Gandhiji’s thoughts. The first movement was started by Gandhiji for the independence of the country, T. Prakasam also left his barristers and joined the movement. Became the President of the Congress Committee in Andhra Pradesh in the year 1921 and remained the President of the Congress Committee in Andhra Pradesh for about 13 years. Potthi Sriramalu committed self-immolation in the year 1952 for the establishment of a separate Andhra Pradesh on the basis of the formation of linguistic regions, after which the Andhra region was separated from Madras in the year 1953 and a new state was formed. Andhra Kesari T. Prakasam became the first Chief Minister of this new state.
2. Freedom fighter Rajkumar Shukla:- On this day in the year 1875, freedom fighter Rajkumar Shukla was born in Champaran Murli Bharahawa village of Bihar. His father’s name was Kolahal Shukla. Because of a stubborn farmer, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi came to Champaran and did the first experiment of his tried weapon of Satyagraha and non-violence on the land of Champaran itself. The result was that only after four months, the farmers of Champaran were freed from the forced cultivation of indigo forever. Had it not been for the insistence of Rajkumar Shukla, Gandhi’s association with the Champaran movement would hardly have been possible.
3. Politician Balram Jakhar:- On this day in the year 1923, Balram Jakhar was born in Panchkosi village of Ferozepur district. He represented the Indian National Congress party in the Lok Sabha from the Sikar district of Rajasthan and was the Speaker of the Lok Sabha for 10 years from the year 1980.
4. Actress Saira Banu:- On this day in the year 1944, Saira Banu was born in Mussoorie, British India. Saira’s father’s name was film producer Mian Ehsan-ul-Haq and film actress Naseem Bano. Saira spent a significant part of her early life in London, UK. Saira started her film career at the age of just 16 in the film ‘Jungle’. Saira was nominated for the Filmfare Award for her excellent performance. In the year the 1960s, many superhit films of Saira started making a splash at the box office. Saira Banu married Dilip Kumar at the age of 22 in the year 1966, while Dilip Kumar himself was 44 years old at that time.
5. Became Deputy Prime Minister: – On this day in the year 1947, Vallabhbhai Patel became the Deputy Prime Minister of India.
6. Politician Sukhdev Nandaji Kale:- On this day in the year 1955, Sukhdev Nandaji Kale, a member of the 9th Lok Sabha, was born in Chincholi, Buldhana district.
7. Actress Gauhar Khan:- On this day in the year 1983, actress Gauhar Khan was born in a Muslim family in Pune Maharashtra. His mother’s name is Razia Zafar. Gauhar has completed her early studies at Mount Carmel Convent School. After this, she obtained her graduation degree from Ness Wadia College of Commerce. After completing her studies, Gauhar pursued her career in the field of modeling and acting. In the year 2012, Gauhar became a part of Femina Miss India, where she stood fourth, after that Gauhar participated in the Miss International contest. In the year 2013, Gauhar became a part of the TV world’s biggest Controversial show Bogg Boss and was also the winner. Gauahar Khan started her career in the year 2009 with the Yash Raj Films production film Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
8. Actress Vani Kapoor: – On this day in the year 1988, actress Vani Kapoor was born in the capital Delhi. His father’s name is Shiv Kapoor who is a businessman and his mother’s name is Dimpy Kapoor who is a marketing executive. Vani completed her early education at Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Ashok Vihar Delhi. He did his Bachelor’s in Tourism from IGNOU. After completing her studies, she worked at ITC Hotels followed by her internship at Oberoi Hotels. Vaani Kapoor started her career with the small screen show Rajuben. Vaani was selected through an audition for the film Shuddh Desi Romance… Vani was also awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Debut in Female for the film Shuddh Desi Romance.

10. Babulal Gaur:- On this day in the year 2004, Babulal Gaur was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. His tenure was from 23 August 2004 to 29 November 2005.
11. In the World Memory Register:- On this day in the year 2007, 30 manuscripts of Rigveda preserved at Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune were added to UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.
12. Resigned:- On this day in the year 2008, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Madhukoda resigned from his post.
