अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खनन जागरूकता दिवस

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खनन जागरूकता दिवस हर साल 4 अप्रैल को मनाया जाता है. यह दिवस दुनिया भर के समुदायों पर बारूदी सुरंगों और युद्ध के विस्फोटक अवशेषों के विनाशकारी प्रभाव के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए समर्पित है. इस दिवस की स्थापना 2005 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा (यूएनजीए) द्वारा की गई थी, जिसका उद्देश्य बारूदी सुरंगों से प्रभावित लोगों को सहायता प्रदान करना और बारूदी सुरंगों के खतरे को कम करने में संगठनों के काम का समर्थन करना है​.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र माइन एक्शन सर्विस (UNMAS) खतरनाक विस्फोटकों से प्रभावित लोगों की मदद करने में अग्रणी है, जिसमें नागरिकों और सहायता कर्मियों को इन खतरों से सुरक्षित रखने की दिशा में विशेष ध्यान दिया जाता है​.
