1. मुगल बादशाह अकबर: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1542 में मुगल बादशाह अकबर का जन्म अमरकोट के राणा वीरसाल के महल में हुआ था. बताते चलें कि, रेगिस्तान और सिंध की सीमा पर होने के कारण अंग्रेज़ों ने इसे सिंध के साथ जोड़ दिया और विभाजन के बाद वह पाकिस्तान का अंग बन गया. अकबर जब 09 वर्ष के थे तभी उन्हें राज्य गद्दी सौपीं गई थी.
2. क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी सी. के. नायडू: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1895 में भारतीय टेस्ट क्रिकेट टीम के पहले कप्तान सी. के. नायडू का जन्म  नागपुर, महाराष्ट्र में हुआ था. उनका पूरा नाम है कोट्टारी कंकैया नायडु. वर्ष 1933 में सी. के. नायडू को विज़डन द्वारा ‘क्रिकेटर ऑफ़ द ईयर’ चुना गया था. वर्ष1956 में सी. के. नायडू भारत के पहले क्रिकेटर थे जिन्हें भारत सरकार द्वारा ‘पद्मभूषण’ सम्मान से सम्मानित किया गया था. 
3. अभिनेता अशोक कुमार: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1911 में अभिनेता अशोक कुमार का जन्म भागलपुर (बिहार) शहर के आदमपुर मोहल्ले में एक मध्यम वर्गीय बंगाली परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम कुंजलाल गांगुली था जो मध्य प्रदेश के खंडवा में वकील थे. उनके छोटे भाई किशोर कुमार (गायक एवं अभिनेता) एवं अनूप कुमार(अभिनेता). अशोक कुमार की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा मध्य प्रदेश के खंडवा शहर में हुई थी. उन्होंने  इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातक की शिक्षा पूरी की. अशोक कुमार ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1934 में न्यू थिएटर में लेबोरेट्री असिस्टेंट के रूप में किया था. अशोक कुमार के अभिनय सफर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1936 में बांबे टॉकीज स्टूडियो की फ़िल्म ‘जीवन नैया’ से की थी. अशोक कुमार ने अपने छोटे दोनों भाइयों के साथ फिल्म ‘चलती का नाम गाड़ी’ में काम किया था. वर्ष 1959 में अशोक कुमार को संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था. उन्हें और भी कई सम्मान से सम्मानित किया गया था.
4. अभिनेत्री पल्लवी प्रधान: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1975 में अभिनेत्री पल्लवी प्रधान का जन्म पुणे (महाराष्ट्र) में हुआ था. पल्लवी प्रधान ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत गुजराती थिएटर से की थी.
5. पार्श्व गायक और अभिनेता किशोर कुमार: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1987 में पार्श्व गायक और अभिनेता किशोर कुमार का निधन मुम्बई में हुआ था.
6. अभिनेत्री पूजा हेगड़े: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1990 में अभिनेत्री पूजा हेगड़े का जन्म मुम्बई में हुआ था. बताते चलें कि, पूजा का परिवार कर्नाटक के उडुपी से ताल्लुकात रखता है. साथ ही पूजा हिंदी भाषा के अलावा तुलु, अंग्रेजी ,कन्नड़, तमिल भाषा को भी जानती हैं. स्कूल और कॉलेज के दिनों से ही पूजा को फैशन और मॉडलिंग का शौक था. वर्ष 2009 में पूजा हेगड़े मिस फेमिना इंडिया के आधे पायदान पर पहुंचकर प्रतियोगिता से बाहर हो गयी थी. इसके बाद उन्होंने पुन: वर्ष 2010 में मिस यूनिवर्स इंडिया प्रतियोगिता में सेकंड रनर अप रहीं थी. पूजा हेगड़े ने अपने अभिनय कैरियर की शुरुआत तमिल फिल्म ‘मुगमोदो’ से की थी.
7. अभिनेत्री निरूपा रॉय: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2004 में अभिनेत्री निरूपा रॉय का निधन मुंबई में हुआ था.

10. बिना वसीयतनामा वाले हिंदू परिवारों के पैतृक संपत्ति के बंटवारे में: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2011 में भारतीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने 2005 के सितंबर माह के बाद से बिना वसीयतनामा वाले हिंदू परिवारों के पैतृक संपत्ति के बंटवारे में किसी महिला या लड़की का परिवार के पुरुष सदस्य के बराबर हिस्सा मिलने का निर्णय दिया था.

His father’s name was Kunjlal Ganguly he was a lawyer in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. His younger brothers are Kishore Kumar (singer and actor) and Anup Kumar (actor). Ashok Kumar’s primary education was in Khandwa city of Madhya Pradesh. He completed his graduation from Allahabad University. Ashok Kumar started his career in the year 1934 as a laboratory assistant at New Theatre. Ashok Kumar’s acting journey started in the year 1936 with Bombay Talkies Studio’s film ‘Jeevan Naiya’.
