भक्तों ने महाराजजी से पूछा कि, ज्येष्ठ महीने के कृष्ण पक्ष में जो एकादशी होती है उसके व्रत की महिमा और व्रत करने की विधि बताएं. महाराजजी सूना है कि इस व्रत को करने से अपार धन व यश की प्राप्ति होती है.
वालव्याससुमनजीमहाराज कहते है ज्येष्ठ का पावन और पवित्र महीना चल रहा है. हिन्दू पंचांग के अनुसार तीसरे महीने को ज्येष्ठ का महीना कहते है. ज्येष्ठ नक्षत्र होने के कारण इस महीने को ज्येष्ठ या जेठ का महीना कहते हैं. इस पवित्र और पावन महीने का वर्णन पुरानों में मिलता है. पुराणों के अनुसार, ज्येष्ठ महीने के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी को माता भद्रकाली प्रकट हुई थी. कहा जाता है कि, हनुमान और प्रभु श्रीराम की मुलाक़ात भी इसी ज्येष्ठ के महीने में हुई थी. शास्त्रों के अनुसार, ज्येष्ठ महीने के कृष्ण पक्ष की आमवस्या को भगवान शनि देव जी का जन्म हुआ था.
वालव्याससुमनजीमहाराज कहते है इतना पावन और पवित्र महीने में जब माता ही प्रकट हुई थी उस दिन के एकादशी की महिमा अनोखी है. महाराज जी कहते है कि, जो मनुष्य अपने वर्तमान और भूतकाल के पापों से डरता हो उसे ही इस एकादशी का व्रत करना चाहिए. यह एकादशी मानव को ब्रहम हत्या के पापों से मुक्त कर मोक्ष की प्राप्ति कराता है. वालव्याससुमनजीमहाराज कहते है ज्येष्ठ महीने के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी को अचला, अपरा, भद्रकाली और जलक्रीडा एकादशी के नाम से जानते हैं.
आत्मानं रथिनं विद्धि शरीरं रथमेव तु। बुद्धिं तु सारथि विद्धि येन श्रेयोऽहमाप्यनुयाम।।
वालव्याससुमनजीमहाराज कहते है “आत्मा को रथी जानो, शरीर को रथ और बुद्धि को सारथी मानो और इनके संतुलित व्यवहार से ही श्रेय अर्थात श्रेष्ठत्व की प्राप्ति होती है”. महाराज जी कहते है कि, माघ के महीने में जब सूर्य के मकर राशि में होने पर प्रयाग स्नान, शिवरात्रि पर काशी में रहकर किया गया व्रत, गया में पिंडदान, वृषभ राशि में गोदावरी स्नान, बद्रिकाश्रम में भगवान केदार के दर्शन या सूर्यग्रहण पर कुरुक्षेत्र में स्नान और दान करने से जो फल मिलता है, वही फल अपरा-अचला एकादशी के व्रत से प्राप्त होता है. इस दिन उपवास कर भगवान के वामन अवतार की पूजा करने से मनुष्य को अपने पापों से मुक्ति मिलती है और विशेष कृपा भी प्राप्त होती है.
पूजन सामाग्री :-
वेदी, कलश, सप्तधान, पंच पल्लव, रोली, गोपी चन्दन, गंगा जल, दूध, दही, गाय के घी का दीपक, सुपाड़ी, शहद, पंचामृत, मोगरे की अगरबत्ती, ऋतू फल, फुल, आंवला, अनार, लौंग, नारियल, नीबूं, नवैध, केला और तुलसी पत्र व मंजरी.
व्रत विधि:-
सबसे पहले आपको एकादशी के दिन सुबह उठ कर स्नान करना चाहिए और व्रत का संकल्प लेना चाहिए. उसके बाद भगवान विष्णु की मूर्ति या चित्र की स्थापना की जाती है. उसके बाद भगवान विष्णु की पूजा के लिए धूप, दीप, नारियल और पुष्प का प्रयोग करना चाहिए. अंत में भगवान विष्णु के स्वरूप का स्मरण करते हुए ध्यान लगायें, उसके बाद विष्णु सहस्त्रनाम का पाठ करके, कथा पढ़ते हुए विधिपूर्वक पूजन करें.
कथा:-
प्राचीन काल में महीध्वज नामक एक धर्मात्मा राजा राज्य करते थे. राजा के छोटे भाई वज्रध्वज अपने बड़े भाई से द्वेष (इर्ष्या) रखता था. एक दिन अवसर पाकर वज्रध्वज ने अपने बड़े भाई महीध्वज की हत्या कर जंगल में एक पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे गाड़ दिया. अकाल मृत्यु होने के कारण राजा की आत्मा प्रेत बनकर पीपल पर रहने लगी और रास्ते से गुजरने वाले हर व्यक्ति को आत्मा परेशान करती थी. एक दिन की बात है कि, एक ऋषि इस रास्ते से गुजर रहे थे और उन्होंने इस प्रेत को देखा और अपने तपोबल से उसके प्रेत बनने का कारण भी जान लिया.
ऋषि ने पीपल के पेड़ से राजा की प्रेतात्मा को नीचे उतारा और परलोक विद्या का उपदेश दिया. ऋषि ने राजा को प्रेत योनी से मुक्ति दिलाने के लिए स्वयं ही अपरा एकादशी का व्रत रखा और द्वादशी के दिन व्रत पूरा होने पर व्रत का पुण्य प्रेत को दे दिया. एकादशी के व्रत का पुण्य प्राप्त करके राजा प्रेतयोनी से मुक्त हो गया और दिव्य देह धारण कर स्वर्ग को चला गया.
फल:-
एकादशी प्राणियों के परम लक्ष्य, भगवद भक्ति, को प्राप्त करने में सहायक होती है. यह दिन प्रभु की पूर्ण श्रद्धा से सेवा करने के लिए अति शुभकारी एवं फलदायक माना गया है. इस दिन व्यक्ति इच्छाओं से मुक्त हो कर यदि शुद्ध मन से भगवान की भक्तिमयी सेवा करता है तो वह अवश्य ही प्रभु की कृपापात्र बनता है.
विशेष :- भगवान विष्णु को उजला फुल से पूजा करने पर विशेष फल मिलता है.
ध्यान दें…. एकादशी की रात्री को जागरण अवश्य ही करना चाहिए, दुसरे दिन द्वादशी के दिन सुबह ब्राह्मणो को अन्न दान व दक्षिणा देकर इस व्रत को संपन्न करना चाहिए.

Apara Ekadashi…
The devotees asked Maharajji to tell the glory of the fast and the method of fasting for the Ekadashi that is observed in the Krishna Paksha of the month of Jyeshtha. Maharajji has heard that one gets immense wealth and fame by observing this fast.
Walvyassumanji Maharaj says that the auspicious and holy month of Jyestha is going on. According to the Hindu calendar, the third month is called the month of Jyestha. Being Jyeshtha Nakshatra, this month is called Jyeshtha or Jeth month. The description of this sacred and auspicious month is found in the Puranas. According to Puranas, Mata Bhadrakali appeared on Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month. It is said that the meeting of Hanuman and Lord Shriram also took place in the month of Jyestha. According to the scriptures, Lord Shani Dev Ji was born on the new moon day of the Krishna Paksha of Jyestha month.
Walvyassumanji Maharaj says that the glory of Ekadashi of that day when Mother appeared in such a pious and holy month is unique. Maharaj ji says that the person who is afraid of his present and past sins, only he should fast on this Ekadashi. This Ekadashi frees man from the sins of killing Brahma and makes him attain salvation. Valvyassumanji Maharaj says that the Ekadashi of the Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month is known as Achala, Apara, Bhadrakali, and Jalkrida Ekadashi.

Maharaj ji says that in the month of Magh, when the Sun is in Capricorn, Prayag bath, Shivratri fasting while staying in Kashi, Pinddan in Gaya, Godavari bath in Taurus, Lord Kedar’s darshan in Badrikashram or Kurukshetra on solar eclipse The fruit that is obtained by bathing and donating in the Ekadashi, the same fruit is obtained by fasting on Apara-Achala Ekadashi. By fasting on this day and worshiping the Vamana avatar of God, man gets freedom from his sins and also receives special blessings.
Worship material: –
Vedi, Kalash, Saptadhan, Panch Pallav, Roli, Gopi Chandan, Ganges water, milk, curd, lamp of cow’s ghee, betel nut, honey, panchamrit, incense sticks of mogre, seasonal fruits, flowers, amla, pomegranate, cloves, coconut, Lemon, illegal, banana and basil leaves and Manjari.
Fasting method: –
First of all, on the day of Ekadashi, you should wake up early in the morning and take a bath and take a vow of fasting. After that, the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu is established. After that incense, lamps, coconut, and flowers should be used to worship Lord Vishnu. In the end, meditate remembering the form of Lord Vishnu, and after that recite Vishnu Sahastranam and worship it methodically while reciting the story.
Story:-
In ancient times, a pious king named Mahidhwaj used to rule. The king’s younger brother Vajradhwaj was jealous of his elder brother. One day, after getting an opportunity, Vajradhwaj killed his elder brother Mahidhwaj and buried him under a Peepal tree in the forest. Due to untimely death, the soul of the king started living on the Peepal as a ghost, and the soul used to trouble every person passing by. Once upon a time, a sage was passing through this path and he saw this ghost and also came to know the reason for his becoming a ghost with his penance.
The sage brought down the ghost of the king from the Peepal tree and preached the knowledge of the other world. The sage himself observed a fast on Apara Ekadashi to free the king from the evil spirits and on completion of the fast on the day of Dwadashi, gave the virtue of the fast to the evil spirits. After attaining the virtue of fasting on Ekadashi, the king became free from the ghosts and went to heaven by wearing a divine body.
Results Of Ekadashi:-
Ekadashi helps in achieving the ultimate goal of living beings, devotion to God. This day is considered very auspicious and fruitful to serve the Lord with full devotion. On this day, if a person frees himself from desires and does devotional service to God with a pure heart, then he definitely becomes blessed by God.
Special: – Worshiping Lord Vishnu with bright flowers gives special results.
Pay attention… Jagran must be done on the night of Ekadashi, on the second day of Dwadashi, this fast should be completed by donating food and Dakshina to Brahmins.
