On the auspicious occasion of 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while delivering his speech from Red Fort, addressed the nation as his “family members” instead of as “my fellow citizens”. This is an event in itself. Throughout the speech, he referred to the people of the country as “parivaarjan (family members)”. In his earlier speeches, the PM had referred to the people of the country as “my beloved brothers and sisters”. Addressing the nation on Independence Day for the 10th consecutive time as prime minister, Modi said global experts are saying that India will not stop now.
While the Independence Day was unfolding in Delhi, a little drama was witnessed in Patna during Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s address from Gandhi Maidan. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s security was breached by a man during the Independence Day event at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. A man, sharing the name with the Chief Minister, attempted to enter a high-security zone while holding a poster in his hand. However, security personnel swiftly apprehended the youth. There cannot be a better contrast between the two leaders. One who sought the opportunity to become Chief Minister for the last time and the other is set to become the Prime Minister for the third time.
The 77th Independence Day led to the successful landing of Candrayaan-3’s lander and the deployment of the rover on the moon’s surface. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen waving the Indian flag while watching the telecast of Chandrayaan-3’s successful soft landing on the Moon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi always had a keen interest in technology and an inclination towards space-tech long before he became the PM. In 2006, when Shri Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he accompanied the then-President APJ Abdul Kalam to the Space Applications Centre (SAC), ISRO, Ahmedabad. Celebrating the victorious launch of Chandrayaan-1 on Oct 22, 2008, Shri Narendra Modi made a special trip to SAC Ahmedabad to cheer on the scientists. He also delivered the Gujarat Cabinet’s resolution congratulating ISRO on this incredible accomplishment. Following the BRICS summit in South Africa, and a state visit to Greece, Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly reached Bengaluru, where he met the scientists at ISRO. While addressing, an emotional PM Modi saluted the hard work, dedication and passion of the scientists and engineers. “India is on the Moon. We have our national pride placed on the Moon. We reached the spot where no one had ever reached before. We did what no one had ever done before,” he remarked. The Prime Minister also attributed a major part of the Chandrayaan-3 success to the women scientists. He said in the success of the Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission, our women scientists, and the country’s “Nari Shakti” have played a big role. To commemorate the commendable achievement, Prime Minister Modi named the landing spot of Chandrayaan-3 as ‘Shivshakti’ and the location where Chandrayaan-2 fell as ‘Tiranga’, to remind us that ‘no failure is permanent.’ He also announced that every year, on 23rd August, India will be marked as the ‘National Space Day.’ ISRO Chief S Somanath lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the ISRO to congratulate the various scientists on the success of Chandrayaan-3. He said that PM Modi has a great vision for the youth of India and has a great belief in “Make in India” to enable India’s technological progress. Sharing their joy, ISRO scientists said that despite Chandrayaan-3’s success PM Modi inspired them to be humble and rooted in our Indian culture and traditions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on last Sunday’s Mann Ki Baat said that India is fully prepared for the G-20 presidency and “our presidency of the G20 is people’s presidency.” He also announced that August 29 will be celebrated as Telugu Language Day, just months ahead of assembly elections in Telangana. Addressing his 104th episode of the monthly broadcast of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and discussing the upcoming event G-20 Summit, Modi said that India is fully prepared for the G-20 Leaders’ Summit next month.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the B20 Summit India 2023 in New Delhi on 27th August, 2023. B20 Summit India brought policymakers, business leaders and experts from across the world to deliberate and discuss the B20 India Communique. The B20 India Communique included 54 recommendations and 172 policy actions for submission to the G20. The Business 20 (B20) is the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community. Established in 2010, B20 is among the most prominent Engagement Groups in G20, with companies and business organizations as participants. The B20 works to deliver concrete actionable policy recommendations to spur economic growth and development. The three-day summit was held from 25th to 27th August. Its theme was R.A.I.S.E – Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustai.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने पिछले रविवार को मन की बात में कहा था कि भारत जी-20 की अध्यक्षता के लिए पूरी तरह से तैयार है और “जी20 की हमारी अध्यक्षता लोगों की अध्यक्षता है।” उन्होंने यह भी घोषणा की कि तेलंगाना में विधानसभा चुनाव से कुछ महीने पहले 29 अगस्त को तेलुगु भाषा दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाएगा। ‘मन की बात’ के मासिक प्रसारण के अपने 104वें एपिसोड को संबोधित करते हुए और आगामी कार्यक्रम जी-20 शिखर सम्मेलन पर चर्चा करते हुए मोदी ने कहा कि भारत अगले महीने जी-20 नेताओं के शिखर सम्मेलन के लिए पूरी तरह से तैयार है।
