विश्व रेंजर दिवस हर 31 जुलाई को मनाया जाता है. यह दिन दुनिया भर के वन रेंजर्स , वन्यजीव संरक्षकों और प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की रक्षा करने वाले बहादुर लोगों के समर्पण, बलिदान और सेवा को समर्पित है. विश्व रेंजर दिवस की शुरुआत वर्ष 2007 में इंटरनेशनल रेंजर फेडरेशन (IRF) और थिन ग्रीन लाइन फाउंडेशन के सहयोग से हुई थी. इस दिन को मनाने का उद्देश्य रेंजर्स के कार्यों को विश्व स्तर पर पहचान दिलाना, उनके बलिदान को याद करना और पर्यावरण संरक्षण में उनकी भूमिका के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाना है.
रेंजर्स प्रकृति और वन्यजीवों के प्रहरी होते हैं. वे शिकारियों और अवैध शिकार से जानवरों की रक्षा करते हैं साथ ही जंगलों की अवैध कटाई रोकना और पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को बनाए रखने में सहयोग करते हैं. वे राष्ट्रीय उद्यानों और अभयारण्यों में आने वाले पर्यटकों को सुरक्षित मार्गदर्शन भी प्रदान करते है. रेंजर्स लुप्तप्राय प्रजातियों को बचाने के लिए निगरानी व जंगल की आग, बाढ़ और अन्य प्राकृतिक आपदाओं से बचाने अहम् भूमिका निभाते हैं.
रेंजर्स को इन सभी कार्यों को करने में कई प्रकार के जोखिमों का भी सामना करना पड़ता है. अक्सर रेंजर्स और शिकारियों के बीच हिंसक झड़पें होती रहती हैं. उन्हें जंगली और खतरनाक जानवरों से ख़तरा बना रहता है. विश्व रेंजर दिवस हमें याद दिलाता है कि प्रकृति की रक्षा करने वाले ये वीर योद्धा हमारे ग्रह के असली हीरो हैं. उनके समर्पण और बलिदान के बिना, वन्यजीवों और जंगलों का अस्तित्व खतरे में पड़ जाएगा.

World Ranger Day…
World Ranger Day is celebrated every 31st July. This day is dedicated to the dedication, sacrifice, and service of forest rangers, wildlife protectors, and brave individuals protecting natural resources around the world. World Ranger Day was established in 2007 in collaboration with the International Ranger Federation (IRF) and the Thin Green Line Foundation. The purpose of celebrating this day is to recognise the work of rangers globally, remember their sacrifice and spread awareness about their role in environmental protection.
Rangers are the sentinels of nature and wildlife. They protect animals from poachers and poaching, as well as help prevent illegal cutting of forests and maintain the ecosystem. They also provide safe guidance to tourists visiting national parks and sanctuaries. Rangers play an important role in monitoring and protecting endangered species from forest fires, floods and other natural disasters.
Rangers also have to face many types of risks in doing all these tasks. Often, there are violent clashes between rangers and poachers. They are always at risk from wild and dangerous animals. World Ranger Day reminds us that these brave warriors protecting nature are the real heroes of our planet. Without their dedication and sacrifice, the existence of wildlife and forests would be in danger.
