धरती के सृजन से ही शिक्षा और व्यवस्था की भी शुरुआत हुई. इस प्रक्रिया में इससे जुड़े कई नियम बनाये गए। उन नियमों में पढ़ाने के तरीकों से लेकर छात्रों के लिए “दंड” की भी व्यवस्था। सवाल ये है कि आखिर ‘दंड’ के साथ ही पढ़ाई के तरीकों में बदलाव कितना जरुरी है !
जहाँ नए तरीकें की व्यवस्था में तकनिकी ज्ञान तो बढ़ी परन्तु वो सभ्यता व संस्कृति से दूर हो गए. साथ ही मानसिक विकृतियां भी बढ़ रही है. जैसे – आत्महत्या। वर्तमान समय में उन्हें अपने लिए विषय चुनने की भी आजदी है. क्या विषय चुनने वाले बच्चे भी रील बनाकर सपनों की उड़ान भरते हुए मंगल ग्रह पर डिनर सेलिब्रेट करेंगें !
शिक्षक ‘सवाल के घेरें में’ और शिक्षा नहीं नहीं… ‘आधुनिक शिक्षा’ युद्धस्तर पर प्रगति के पथ पर अग्रसर… हम कहाँ जा रहें है, हमारी सोच कहाँ जा रही है पता नहीं…
कुछ समय पूर्व तक पढ़ाई अनुशासन और दंड के साथ होती थी वहीँ, वर्तमान में प्रेरणा, संवाद और रचनात्मक तरीकों के साथ. कुछ समय पूर्व तक ‘दंड’ का मतलब सिर्फ सजा नहीं होता था बल्कि अनुशासन का प्रतीक माना जाता था. डांट- फटकार व शारीरिक दंड से मेहनत की ओर अग्रसर होते थे. इस पद्धति से धैर्य,आज्ञाकारी, मेहनती व लगनशील बनते थे. वहीँ, दूसरी ओर अत्यादिक दबाव से बच्चों की रचनात्मकता दब जाती थी और रट्टा मारकर आगे बढ़ जाते थे.
वर्तमान समय की व्यवस्था में बच्चों की रूचि के अनुसार पढ़ने की आजादी साथ ही उन्हें किताबी ज्ञान के वजाय वव्यावहारिक कुशलता पर जोर दिया जा रहा है. ‘लकीर के फकीर’ की कहावत को तोड़ते हुए बच्चे सरगम की तान पर बिना ‘दंड’ के नई शिक्षा व नये सपने की ओर अग्रसर हैं.
वैसे भी शिक्षा अपने नीचले पायदान पर गंभीरतापूर्वक डटा हुआ है. यह चुनौती और समस्या दोनों है ठीक उसी प्रकार कुटाई वाला बनाम नई पॉलिसी… बेहतर कौन?

Which is better?
Education and system began with the creation of the earth. In this process, many related rules were created. These rules ranged from teaching methods to the provision of “punishments” for students. The question is, how important is it to change the methods of education along with “punishments”?
While the new system has increased technical knowledge, it has also distanced students from civilization and culture. Mental disorders, such as suicide, are also on the rise. Nowadays, students have the freedom to choose their own subjects. Will students who choose their subjects also make reels and celebrate dinner on Mars, flying high in their dreams?
Teachers are “in the crosshairs” of questions, and education is not… “Modern education” is advancing on the path of progress at a war footing… Where are we heading, where is our thinking going? We don’t know…
Until recently, education was conducted with discipline and punishment, whereas today, it is conducted with inspiration, dialogue, and creative methods. Until recently, “punishment” didn’t just mean punishment, but was considered a symbol of discipline. Scolding, reprimanding, and physical punishment were used to motivate students to work hard. This method fostered patience, obedience, industriousness, and dedication. On the other hand, excessive pressure stifled children’s creativity, forcing them to move forward by rote learning.
The current system emphasizes the freedom to study according to their interests, along with practical skills rather than bookish knowledge. Breaking the adage of “sticking to the beaten track,” children are moving toward new education and new dreams, following the rhythm of music without “punishment.”
Each education remains firmly entrenched at its lowest echelon. This poses both a challenge and a problem, just like the beating versus the new policy… which is better?
