1. पहली सैन्य टुकड़ी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1748 में ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी की सहायता के लिये ब्रिटिश सेना की पहली सैन्य टुकड़ी भारत पहुंची थी.
2. विज्ञान संगठन की स्थापना:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1876 में भारत में विज्ञान संगठन की स्थापना की गई थी.
3. स्वाधीनता सेनानी ईश्वर चन्द्र विद्यासागर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1891 में स्वाधीनता सेनानी ईश्वर चन्द्र विद्यासागर का निधन हुआ था. बताते चलें कि, उन्नीसवीं शताब्दी के बंगाल के प्रसिद्ध दार्शनिक, शिक्षाविद, समाज सुधारक, लेखक, अनुवादक, मुद्रक, प्रकाशक, उद्यमी और परोपकारी व्यक्ति थे. विद्यासागर बंगाल के पुनर्जागरण के स्तम्भों में से एक थे.
4. एडौर्ड गौबर्ट:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1894 में पुदुचेरी राज्य के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री एडौर्ड गौबर्ट का जन्म हुआ था.
5. जे. आर. डी. टाटा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1904 में जे. आर. डी. टाटा का जन्म पेरिस में हुआ था. आधुनिक भारत की बुनियाद रखने वाली औद्योगिक हस्तियों में जे. आर. डी. टाटा का नाम सर्वोपरि है. इनका पूरा नाम जहाँगीर रतनजी दादाभाई टाटा है. इनके पिता का नाम रतनजी दादाभाई टाटा और माता का नाम सुजैन ब्रियरे है. उनके पिता भारत के अग्रणी उद्योगपति जमशेदजी टाटा के चचेरे भाई थे. टाटा ने अपनी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा कैथेडरल और जॉन कोनोन स्कूल मुंबई में अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी की. उन्होंने इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई ‘कैंब्रिज विश्वविद्यालय’ से की थी. ज्ञात है कि, मात्र 34 वर्ष की आयु में वे टाटा संस के चेयरमैन बने. दशकों तक उन्होंने विशालकाय टाटा समूह की कंपनियों का मार्गदर्शन भी किया. बताते चलें कि, जे. आर. डी. टाटा भारत के पहले लाइसेंस प्राप्त पायलट थे. जीवन के आरंभिक दिनों में वह एवियशन की दुनिया की अग्रणी शख़्सियत लुईस ब्लेरियात से बहुत प्रभावित थे. इसी वजह से उन्होंने इसे कैरियर के रूप में अपनाया था. वर्ष 1929 को जे. आर. डी. टाटा को पायलट का लाइसेंस दिया गया था. वर्ष  1932 ई. में जे. आर. डी. टाटा ने भारत की पहली विमानन सेवा ‘टाटा एयरलाइंस’ की आधार शिला रखी थी जो वर्ष 1946 में ‘एयर इंडिया’ के रूप में भारत की राष्ट्रीय विमान सेवा बनी थी.
6. आईएफ शील्ड:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1911 में मोहन बगान ने पहली बार आईएफ शील्ड जीता था. बताते चलें कि, वर्ष 1911 के फ़ाइनल में ईस्ट यॉर्कशायर रेजिमेंट को हराकर मोहन बागान की टीम ने इतिहास रच दिया था. आईएफ़ए शील्ड जीत का मतलब यह भी था कि भारतीय फ़ुटबॉल क्लब को अब नज़रअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता था, जिसे उस समय ब्रिटिश हुकुमत के लोग देशी क्लब के रूप में संबोधित करते थे.
7. मराठी साहित्यकार बाबासाहेब पुरंदरे:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1922 में मराठी साहित्यकार बाबासाहेब पुरंदरे का जन्म हुआ था.
8. राजनीतिज्ञ माधव सिंह सोलंकी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1927 में राजनीतिज्ञ माधव सिंह सोलंकी का जन्म गुजरात में हुआ था. सोलंकी भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस दल के नेता हैं और भारत के पूर्व विदेश मंत्री भी रह चुके हैं. वे चार बार राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री रहे थे. सोलंकी को खास सिद्धांत के लिए जाने जाते हैं जिसके कारण सोलंकी वर्ष 1980 के दशक में गुजरात की सत्ता में आया थे.
9. तेलुगु कवि सी. नारायण रेड्डी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1931 में तेलुगु कवि सी. नारायण रेड्डी का जन्म तत्कालीन हैदराबाद राज्य (तेलंगाना राज्य) के दूरदराज़ के गांव हनुमाजीपेट के एक कृषक परिवार में हुआ था. उनकी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा उर्दू माध्यम से हुई. उन्होंने ओसमानिया यूनिवर्सिटी से पढ़ाई की थी. रेड्डी संगीत-प्रेमी और सुमधुर कंठ के स्वामी थे, जिसका यह अपने काव्य पाठों में पूरा लाभ उठाते थे. सी. नारायन रेड्डी के काव्य के रूमानी दौर की सर्वाधिक प्रतिनिधि काव्य रचना 26 वर्ष की आयु में रचित “कपूर वसंतरायलु” (1956) है.
10. द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1941 में द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान जर्मनी के घटक जापान ने चीन और भारत पर अधिकार करने के लिए अपने सैनिक इस क्षेत्र के दक्षिणी तट पर उतारे थे. बताते चलें कि, जब द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध अपने चरम पर था तब 25 लाख से अधिक भारतीय सैनिक पूरे विश्व में अक्षीय-राष्ट्रों की सेनाओं से लड़ रहे थे. 87 हजार से अधिक भारतीय सैनिक युद्ध में मारे गए थे. युद्ध की समाप्ति पर, भारत दुनिया की चौथी सबसे बड़ी औद्योगिक शक्ति के रूप में उभरा था.
11. प्रोफ़ेसर सी.पी. जोशी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1950 में प्रोफ़ेसर सी.पी. जोशी का जन्म नाथद्वारा, राजस्थान में हुआ था.
12. अभिनेता संजय दत्त:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1959 में संजय दत्त का जन्म मुम्बई, महाराष्ट्र में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम सुनील दत्त और माता का नाम नर्गिस है. संजय की शिक्षा कसौली के पास लॉरेंस स्कूल, सनावर में हुई थी. वर्ष 1982 में अवैध मादक पदार्थ रखने के आरोप में संजय दत्त को 05 माह की कारावास की सजा हुई थी. सजा समाप्त होने के बाद वो दो वर्षों तक टेक्सास रेहाब क्लिनिक (टेक्सास पुनर्वसन क्लिनिक) में गुजरा था. संजय दत्त ने अपने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म एक बाल कलाकार के रूप में अपने पिता द्वारा निर्मित फ़िल्म रेशमा और शेरा से की थी. वर्ष 1991 में फिल्म रॉकी में मुख्य अभिनेता के रूप में काम किया था. संजय ने अब तक करीब 100 से अधिक फिल्मों में अभिनय किया है. संजय दत्त ने सलमान खान के साथ बिग बॉस के पाँचवें संस्करण की मेजबानी भी की. वहीं, दूसरी तरफ संजय दत्त और आईपीएल टीम के मालिक उद्यमी राज कुंद्रा ने साथ में 16 जनवरी 2012 को भारत की प्रथम पेशेवर संगठित युग्ल सामरिक कला सुपर फाइट लीग की भी स्थापना की.
13. लोकसभा के महासचिव उत्पल कुमार सिंह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1960 में उत्पल कुमार सिंह का जन्म मलयपुर गांव, बाराहाट प्रखंड, ज़िला जमुई, बिहार में हुआ था.
14. हॉकी में स्वर्ण पदक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1980 में मॉस्को ओलंपिक में भारत ने हॉकी में स्वर्ण पदक हासिल किया. भारतीय हॉकी टीम ने फाइनल में स्पेन को 4-3 से हराकर अपना आठवां और आखिरी ओलंपिक स्वर्ण पदक जीता था.
15. असफल प्रयास पर हस्ताक्षर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1987 में पीएम राजीव गांधी और श्रीलंका के राष्ट्रपति जे. आर. जयवर्धने ने भारत-श्रीलंका समझौते पर चल रहे श्रीलंकाई गृह युद्ध को सुलझाने के लिए अंततः असफल प्रयास पर हस्ताक्षर किए थे.
16. अभिनेत्री एली एवराम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1990 में अभिनेत्री एली एवराम का जन्म स्टॉकहोम, स्वीडन में हुआ था. महज 18 साल की उम्र में, एवराम सांडबीबर्ग में परदेसी डांस ग्रुप के सदस्य बने और मुख्य रूप से बॉलीवुड गीतों के स्कैंडेनेविया में नृत्य प्रदर्शन किया था. एवराम ने मिकी वायरस फिल्म से बॉलीवुड में डेब्यू किया था. एवराम कलर्स प्रसारित होने वाले रियलिटी शो बिग बॉस सीजन ७ की प्रतियोगी भी रही हैं. किस किसको प्यार करूँ फिल्म में एली ने स्टैंडअप कॉमेडियन और एक्टर कपिल शर्मा की लेडी लव का किरदार निभाया था.
17. स्वाधीनता सेनानी अरुणा आसफ़ अली:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1996 में स्वाधीनता सेनानी अरुणा आसफ़ अली का निधन हुआ था.
18. दांतों से विमान को खींचा:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2000 में सीमा भदौरिया ने अपने दांतों से 3390 किलोग्राम के विमान को खींचा था.
19. अभिनेता जॉनी वॉकर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2003 में हास्य अभिनेता जॉनी वॉकर का निधन मुंबई में हुआ था.
20. बिमस्टेक-ईसी सम्मेलन में भाग लेने बैंकॉक रवाना:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2004 में बिमस्टेक-ईसी सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह बैंकॉक रवाना हुए थे. बताते चलें कि, मनमोहन सिंह की प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में पहली विदेश यात्रा थी.
21. महारानी गायत्री देवी:-आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2009 में जयपुर की महारानी गायत्री देवी का निधन हुआ था.
22. शास्त्रीय संगीतकार वसुंधरा कोमकली:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2015 में शास्त्रीय संगीतकार वसुंधरा कोमकली का निधन देवास, मध्य प्रदेश में हुआ था.
23. कवयित्री स्नेहमयी चौधरी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2017 में कवयित्री स्नेहमयी चौधरी का निधन हुआ था.
24. रशियन ओपन बैडमिंटन चैम्पियनशिप:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में भारत के सौरभ वर्मा ने व्ला दीवोस्तोरक में आयोजित रशियन ओपन बैडमिंटन चैम्पियनशिप को जीता था.
25. परियोजनाओं की शुरूआत:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2018 में पीएम मोदी ने लखनऊ में 60 हजार करोड़ रुपए लागत की परियोजनाओं की शुरूआत की थी.

28. सामरिक सुरक्षा रक्षा सहयोग समझौते:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2019 में भारत और म्यांमार ने सैन्य संबंधों को बढ़ाने तथा सामरिक सुरक्षा रक्षा सहयोग समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर हुए थे.

Let us tell him that he was a famous philosopher, educationist, social reformer, writer, translator, printer, publisher, entrepreneur, and philanthropist of nineteenth-century Bengal. Vidyasagar was one of the pillars of renaissance in Bengal.
4. Edouard Goubert:- On this day in the year 1894, Edouard Goubert, the first Chief Minister of Puducherry State, was born.
5. J. R. D. Tata:- On this day in the year 1904 J. R. D. Tata was born in Paris. Among the industrial personalities who laid the foundation of modern India, J. R. D. Tata’s name is paramount. His full name is Jahangir Ratanji Dadabhai Tata. His father’s name is Ratanji Dadabhai Tata and his mother’s name is Suzanne Briere. His father was a cousin of India’s leading industrialist Jamsetji Tata. Tata completed his early education at Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. He studied engineering at ‘Cambridge University’. It is known that, at the age of just 34, he became the chairman of Tata Sons. For decades, he also guided the companies of the giant Tata Group. Let us tell you that J. R. D. Tata was the first licensed pilot in India. In the early days of his life, he was greatly influenced by Louis Bleriat, a leading figure in the world of aviation. Let us tell that, in the final of the year 1911, the team of Mohun Bagan created history by defeating the East Yorkshire Regiment. 12. Actor Sanjay Dutt:- On this day in the year 1959, Sanjay Dutt was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father’s name is Sunil Dutt and his mother’s name is Nargis. Sanjay was educated at Lawrence School, Sanawar near Kasauli. In the year 1982, Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to 05 months imprisonment for possession of illegal drugs. After the end of the sentence, he spent two years in the Texas Rehab Clinic (Texas Rehab Clinic). Sanjay Dutt started his film career as a child artist in the film Reshma Aur Shera produced by his father. In the year 1991, he acted as the lead actor in the film Rocky. 14. Gold Medal in Hockey: – On this day in the year 1980, India won a gold medal in hockey at Moscow Olympics. The Indian hockey team won its eighth and last Olympic gold medal by defeating Spain 4–3 in the final.
