1. प्रथम महिला बैरिस्टर कार्नेलिया सोराबजी: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1866 में प्रथम महिला बैरिस्टर कार्नेलिया सोराबजी का जन्म नासिक में हुआ था. उन्होंने मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय से पहली महिला स्नातक हैं साथ ही ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी से कानून की पढ़ाई करने वाली पहली महिला थी. वर्ष 1894 में भारत वापस आईं. उस दौर में महिलाओं को वकालत नहीं करने का अधिकार प्राप्त था. अत: सोराबजी ने महिलाओं को कानूनी परामर्श देना आरंभ किया बाद में महिलाओं की मांग पर वर्ष 1907 में कार्नेलिया सोराबजी को बंगाल, बिहार, उड़ीसा और असम की अदालतों में सहायक महिला वकील का पद दिया गया.
2. सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता विनोबा भावे: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1875 को सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता विनोबा भावे का जन्म झारखण्ड के खुटी जिले के उलीहातु गाँव में मुंडा जनजाति के एक गरीब परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम सुगना मुंडा और माता का नाम करमी मुंडा था. उनकी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा साल्गा गाँव में हुई थी उसके बाद विनोबा भावे ने  चाईबासा जी0ई0एल0 चार्च (गोस्नर एवं जिलकल लुथार) विद्यालय से की थी. वर्ष 1894 में सरदारी लड़ाई मजबूत नेतृत्व की कमी के कारण सफल नहीं हुआ, जिसके बाद आदिवासी बिरसा मुंडा के विद्रोह में शामिल हो गए थे. वर्ष 1895 में उन्हें गिरफ़्तार कर लिया गया और हजारीबाग केन्द्रीय कारागार में दो साल के कारावास की सजा दी गयी थी. वर्ष  1897 में बिरसा और उसके चार सौ सिपाहियों ने तीर कमानों से लैस होकर खूँटी थाने पर धावा बोला था. वर्ष 1900 को चक्रधरपुर के जमकोपाई जंगल से अंग्रेजों द्वारा गिरफ़्तार कर लिए गए थे.  
3. अभिनेत्री विद्या सिन्हा: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1947 में अभिनेत्री विद्या सिन्हा का जन्म मुंबई के एक फिल्मी परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम प्रताप राणा है जो कि एक फिल्म प्रोड्यूसर थे. विद्या सिन्हा ने कैरियर की शुरुआत मॉडलिंग से की थी. विद्या सिन्हा ने अपने अभिनय कैरियर की शुरुआत छोटू बिहारी की फिल्म ‘राज काका’ से की थी. लेकिन विद्या सिन्हा को कामयाबी फिल्म ‘रजनीगंधा’ से मिली थी. उन्होंने एक से एक हिट फिल्म में काम किया था. इसके अलावा उन्होंने कुछ टीवी धारावाहिकों में भी अभिनय किया, जिनमें “काव्यांजलि”, “कबूल है” और “कुल्फी कुमार बाजेवाला” शामिल हैं.
4. महात्मा गांधी की हत्या के दोषी को फाँसी: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1949 को महात्मा गांधी की हत्या के दोषी नाथूराम गोडसे और नारायण दत्तात्रेय आप्टे को अंबाला जेल में फाँसी दी गई थी.
5. अभिनेत्री दलजीत कौर: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1982 को अभिनेत्री दलजीत कौर का जन्म लुधियाना के एक सिख परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता आर्मी के रिटायर्ड कर्नल थे. उनकी प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा कॉन्‍वेंट स्‍कूल दार्जिलिंग से पूरी की.उसके बाद उन्होंने बाकी की पढ़ाई श्री राम कॉलेज(नई दिल्ली ) से पूरी की थी. दलजीत कौर ने वर्ष 2004 में मिस पुणे का खिताब जीता, साथ ही मिस नेवी, मिस मुंबई और मिस महाराष्ट्र क्वीन सहित कई अन्य प्रतियोगिता में फाइनलिस्ट भी रहीं थी. दलजीत कौर ने अपने अभिनय कैरियर की शुरुआत टीबी धारावाहिक “मनसा” में एक छोटे से रोल से की थी. उसके बाद उन्होंने कुमकुम एक प्यारा सा बंधन में सिया के एक अहम रोल में नजर आई थी. वर्ष 2018 में अंतरराष्ट्रीय पत्रिका “द प्लेटफार्म” के कवर पर दिखाई दी और ऐसा करने वाली वह पहली भारतीय टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री बनी थी.
6. टेनिस खिलाड़ी सानिया मिर्ज़ा: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1986 को टेनिस खिलाड़ी सानिया मिर्ज़ा का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम इमरान मिर्ज़ा है जो कि एक खेल संवाददाता थे और उनकी माँ का नाम नसीमा है जोकि  प्रिंटिंग व्यवसाय से जुड़ी एक कंपनी में काम करती थीं. उनकी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा  एन. ए. एस. आर स्कूल ( हैदराबाद) में हुई थी. उसके बाद उन्होंने सेंट मैरी कॉलेज ( हैदराबाद) से स्नातक किया था. उन्होंने 06 वर्ष की उम्र से हैदराबाद के निज़ाम क्लब में टेनिस खेलना शुरू किया था. सानिया के पिता के पास इतने पैसे नहीं थे कि उन्हें पेशेवर ट्रेनिंग दिलवाई  जा सके. सानिया के पिता के अथक प्रयास के बाद कुछ कंपनियों ने स्पान्सर्शिप दी थी. उसके बाद  महेश भूपति के पिता सी. के. भूपति की देखरेख में उसकी टेनिस शिक्षा की शुरुआत हुई. वर्ष 1999 में सानिया जूनियर स्तर पर पहली बार भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया.14 वर्ष से भी कम उम्र में सानिया ने पहला आई.टी.एफ. जूनियर टूर्नामेंट इस्लामाबाद में खेला था. उसके बाद सानिया ने 17 वर्ष की उम्र में विंबलडन का जूनियर डबल्स चैंपियनशिप खिताब जीता था.
7. सांख्यिकीविद वसंत शंकर हुज़ूरबाज़ार: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1991 में सांख्यिकीविद वसंत शंकर हुज़ूरबाज़ार का निधन हुआ था.
8. झारखंड की स्थापना: – आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2000 को बिहार पुनर्गठन अधिनियम द्वारा 15 नवंबर 2000 को भारत के 28 वें राज्य के रूप में झारखंड की स्थापना की गई थी.

1. First woman barrister Cornelia Sorabjee: – On this day in the year 1866, the first woman barrister Cornelia Sorabjee was born in Nashik. She was the first woman to graduate from Mumbai University and also the first woman to study law at Oxford University. Came back to India in the year 1894. In that period, women had the right not to practice law. Hence, Sorabji started giving legal advice to women. Later, on the demand of women, in the year 1907, Cornelia Sorabji was given the post of assistant woman lawyer in the courts of Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and Assam.
2. Social worker Vinoba Bhave: – On this day in the year 1875, social worker Vinoba Bhave was born in a poor family of the Munda tribe in Keulihatu village of Khuti district of Jharkhand. His father’s name was Sugana Munda and his mother’s name was Karmi Munda. His primary education was in Salga village, after which Vinoba Bhave did his schooling at Chaibasa G.E.L. Church (Gosner and Jilkal Lutheran) School. The Sardari battle in the year 1894 was not successful due to a lack of strong leadership, after which the tribals joined the rebellion of Birsa Munda. In the year 1895, he was arrested and sentenced to two years imprisonment in Hazaribagh Central Jail. In the year 1897, Birsa and his four hundred soldiers, armed with bows and arrows, attacked the Khunti police station. In the year 1900, he was arrested by the British from the Jamkopai forest of Chakradharpur.
3. Actress Vidya Sinha: – On this day in the year 1947, actress Vidya Sinha was born in a film family in Mumbai. His father’s name is Pratap Rana he was a film producer. Vidya Sinha started her career with modelling. Vidya Sinha started her acting career with Chhotu Bihari’s film ‘Raj Kaka’. But Vidya Sinha was a success in the film ‘Rajnigandha’. He worked in one hit film after another. Apart from this, he also acted in some TV serials, which include “Kavyanjali”, “Kabool Hai” and “Kulfi Kumar Bajewala”.
4. Hanging of the culprit of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination: – On this day in the year 1949, Nathuram Godse and Narayan Dattatreya Apte, guilty of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination, were hanged in Ambala Jail.
5. Actress Daljeet Kaur: – On this day in the year 1982, actress Daljeet Kaur was born in a Sikh family in Ludhiana. His father was a retired army colonel. She completed her primary education at Convent School, Darjeeling. After that, she completed her remaining studies at Shri Ram College (New Delhi). Daljeet Kaur won the title of Miss Pune in the year 2004 and was also a finalist in many other pageants including Miss Navy, Miss Mumbai and Miss Maharashtra Queen. Daljeet Kaur started her acting career with a small role in the TB serial “Mansa”. After that, she was seen in the important role of Siya in Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. In the year 2018, she appeared on the cover of the international magazine “The Platform” and became the first Indian television actress to do so.
6. Tennis player Sania Mirza: – On this day in the year 1986, tennis player Sania Mirza was born in Mumbai. His father’s name is Imran Mirza who was a sports correspondent and his mother’s name is Naseema who worked in a company related to the printing business. His early education was from N. A. S. It was held in R School (Hyderabad). After that, he graduated from St. Mary’s College (Hyderabad). He started playing tennis at the age of 06 at Nizam Club, Hyderabad. Sania’s father did not have enough money to get her professional training. After the tireless efforts of Sania’s father, some companies gave sponsorship. After that Mahesh Bhupathi’s father C.K. His tennis education started under the supervision of Bhupathi. In the year 1999, Sania represented India for the first time at the junior level. At the age of less than 14, Sania won her first ITF title. The junior tournament was played in Islamabad. After that, Sania won the Wimbledon Junior Doubles Championship title at the age of 17.
