- रोशन आरा बेगम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1617 में मुमताज़ महल (नूरजहाँ) की पुत्री रोशन आरा बेगम का जन्म हुआ था.
- राजनीतिज्ञ कमलापति त्रिपाठी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1905 में राजनीतिज्ञ कमलापति त्रिपाठी का जन्म वाराणसी में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम नारायणपति त्रिपाठी था. उन्होंने काशी विद्यापीठ से शास्त्री की उपाधि एवं डी. लिट. किया था. कमलपति त्रिपाठी 4 अप्रैल, 1971 से 12 जून, 1973 तक उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री रहे थे.
- अभिनेता पृथ्वीराज कपूर:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1905 में अभिनेता पृथ्वीराज कपूर का जन्म पेशावर (पाकिस्तान) में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम दीवान बशेस्वरनाथ कपूर पुलिस विभाग में सब इंस्पेक्टर के रूप में कार्यरत थे. पृथ्वीराज की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा लायलपुर और लाहौर (पाकिस्तान) से पूरी की थी. पृथ्वीराज कपूर वर्ष 1928 में मुंबई में इंपीरियल फ़िल्म कंपनी से जुडे़ थे. वर्ष1930 में बीपी मिश्रा की फ़िल्म ‘सिनेमा गर्ल’ में उन्होंने अभिनय किया था. आकर्षक व्यक्तित्व व शानदार आवाज़ के स्वामी पृथ्वीराज कपूर ने सिनेमा और रंगमंच दोनों माध्यमों में अपनी अभिनय क्षमता का परिचय दिया था. पृथ्वीराज को देश के सर्वोच्च फ़िल्म सम्मान दादा साहब फाल्के के अलावा पद्म भूषण तथा कई अन्य पुरस्कारों से भी सम्मानित किया गया था.
- तबला वादक पंडित किशन महाराज:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1923 में तबला वादक पंडित किशन महाराज का जन्म काशी के कबीरचौरा मुहल्ले में एक संगीतज्ञ के परिवार में हुआ था. कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी की आधी रात को जन्म होने के कारण उनका नाम किशन पड़ा. उन्होंने शास्त्रीय संगीत की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा अपने पिता पंडित हरि महाराज से प्राप्त की. पंडित किशन महाराज को कई सम्मानों के साथ-साथ पद्मश्री व पद्म विभूषण अलंकरण से भी सम्मानित किया गया था.
- अभिनेता उत्तम कुमार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1926 में हिन्दी और बांग्ला फ़िल्मों के अभिनेता उत्तम कुमार का जन्म ब्रिटिश भारत के गिरीश मुखर्जी मार्ग स्थित उनके पुश्तैनी मकान, भवानीपुर, कलकत्ता (वर्तमान कोलकाता) में हुआ था. उनकी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा कोलकाता के ही ‘साउथ सबर्बन स्कूल से हुई थी. उत्तम कुमार ने अपने फिल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत फिल्म ‘दृष्टिदान’ से की थी. उन्होंने बंगाला के साथ-साथ कई हिन्दी फ़िल्मों में भी अभिनय किया किया था.
- राजनीतिज्ञ राजकुमार दोरेंद्र सिंह:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1934 में राजनीतिज्ञ राजकुमार दोरेंद्र सिंह का जन्म हुआ था.
- संगीतकार प्यारेलाल:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1940 में संगीतकार प्यारेलाल का जन्म गोरखपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम पंडित रामप्रसाद है जो ट्रम्पेट बजाते थे और उनकी चाहत थी कि उनका बेटा भी वायलिन सीखें लेकिन, आर्थिक हालात ठीक नहीं थे. एक बार पंडित जी उन्हें लता मंगेशकर के घर लेकर गए. लता जी प्यारे के वायलिन वादन से इतनी खुश हुईं कि उन्होंने प्यारे को 500 रुपए इनाम में दिए जो उस ज़माने में बहुत बड़ी रकम हुआ करती थी. अपनी मेहनत के दम पर उन्हें मुंबई के ‘रंजीत स्टूडियो’ के ऑर्केस्ट्रा में नौकरी मिल गई जहाँ उन्हें 85 रुपए मासिक वेतन मिलता था.
- अभिनेता गोविन्द नामदेव:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1950 में अभिनेता गोविन्द नामदेव का जन्म सागर, मध्य प्रदेश में हुआ था. गोविन्द नामदेव ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1992 में डेविड धवन की फिल्म शोला और शबनम से की थी.
- योगी जग्गी वासुदेव:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1957 में रहस्यवादी और योगी जग्गी वासुदेव का जन्म मैसूर के यादव परिवार में हुआ था.
- अभिनेता मनोज जोशी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1965 में अभिनेता मनोज जोशी का जन्म गुजरात के कलाकार परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता नवनीत जोशी और भाई राजेश जोशी दोनों ही एक्टर हैं. मनोज जोशी ने अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत मराठी थिएटर से की थी. उन्होंने अपने हिंदी फ़िल्म के कैरियर की शुरुआत आमिर खान स्टारर फिल्म सरफ़रोश से की थी.
- क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी राहुल साघवी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1974 में क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी राहुल साघवी का जन्म हुआ था.
- अभिनेता विवेक ओबेराय:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1976 में अभिनेता विवेक ओबेराय का जन्म हैदराबाद में हुआ था. उनके पिता का नाम एक्टर सुरेश ओबरॉय है और उनकी माँ का नाम यशोधरा ओबरॉय है. विवेक ने अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा हैदराबाद पब्लिक स्कूल हैदराबाद से की उसके बाद आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए मेयो अजमेर चले गये. उन्हें भी एक्टिंग में दिलचस्पी थीं और अभिनय की बारीकियां सीखने के लिए न्यूयॉर्क चले गए. विवेक ने रामगोपाल वर्मा की फिल्म कंपनी से अपने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत की थी.
- महिला पहलवान साक्षी मलिक:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1992 में महिला पहलवान साक्षी मलिक का जन्म रोहतक, हरियाणा में हुआ था. साक्षी के पिता सुखबीर मलिक डीटीसी में बस कंडक्टर हैं तथा उनकी माता सुदेश मलिक एक आँगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता हैं. साक्षी ने ब्राजील के रियो डि जेनेरियो में हुए 2016 ग्रीष्मकालीन ओलम्पिक में कांस्य पदक जीता है.
- कड़ी आपत्ति व्यक्त की:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1998 में नेल्सन मंडेला द्वारा गुट निरपेक्ष आंदोलन शिखर सम्मेलन में कश्मीर का मुद्दा उठाये जाने पर प्रधानमंत्री अटलबिहारी वाजपेयी ने कड़ी आपत्ति व्यक्त की थी.
