1. कानून का रूप लिया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1833 में ब्रिटिश दास उन्मूलन अधिनियम ने कानून का रूप लिया था.
2. चिकित्सक जीवराज मेहता:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1887 में चिकित्सक जीवराज मेहता का जन्म हुआ था. बड़ौदा रियासत के अमरेली कस्बे के एक ग़रीब परिवार में हुआ था. जीवराज ने छात्रवृत्ति और ट्यूशन करके जीवराज ने अपनी शिक्षा जारी रखी थी. मुंबई के ‘ग्रांट मेडिकल कॉलेज’ की पढ़ाई में उन्हें आठ में से सात विषयों में छात्रवृत्ति और पुरस्कार मिले थे. ‘मुंबई मेडकल कॉलेज’ का अध्ययन पूरा करने के बाद जीवराज कॉलेज और टाटा फ़ंड से छात्रवृत्ति लेकर आगे अध्ययन के लिए इंग्लैंड चले गए और एम.डी. की परीक्षा में सर्वप्रथम रहे. उन्होंने कुछ अन्य परीक्षाएँ भी ससम्मान पास करने के बाद वे वर्ष 1915 ई. में भारत आए और शीघ्र ही उनकी गणना मुंबई के चोटी के डॉक्टरों में होने लगी थी. डॉक्टर जीवराज मेहता ने वर्ष 1930 ई. के ‘नमक सत्याग्रह’ में भाग लिया और गिरफ्तार कर लिये गए. वर्ष 1942 के ‘भारत छोड़ो आन्दोलन’ में भी उन्होंने जेल की सज़ा भोगी थी. डॉ. जीवराज मेहता गांधी जी के निजी चिकित्सक और सहयोगी थे.
3. हॉकी खिलाड़ी मेजर ध्यानचंद:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1905 में हॉकी खिलाड़ी मेजर ध्यानचंद का जन्म इलाहाबाद के एक राजपूत परिवार में हुआ था. वर्ष 1922 में ध्यानचंद ने दिल्ली के प्रथम ब्राह्मण रेजीमेंट में सेना में एक साधारण सिपाही की हैसियत से भर्ती हुये थे. ध्यानचंद जब रेजिमेंट में भर्ती हुए थे तो उन्हें हॉकी खेलने का शौक नहीं था. पर उसी रेजिमेंट के एक सूबेदार मेजर तिवारी ने ध्यानचंद को हॉकी खेलने के लिए प्रेरित किया था. मेजर तिवारी की देख-रेख में ध्यानचंद भी हॉकी खेलने लगे. देखते ही देखते वह दुनिया के एक महान खिलाड़ी बन गए. वर्ष १९२७ में उन्हें लांस नायक बना दिए गए. वर्ष 1937 ई. में जब भारतीय हॉकी दल के कप्तान थे तो उन्हें सूबेदार बना दिया गया था. जब द्वितीय महायुद्ध प्रारंभ हुआ तो वे वर्ष 1943 ई. में ‘लेफ्टिनेंट’ नियुक्त हुए और भारत के स्वतंत्र होने पर वर्ष 1948 ई. में कप्तान बना दिए गए थे.
4. राजनीतिज्ञ रामकृष्ण हेगड़े:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1926 में राजनीतिज्ञ कर्नाटक के भूतपूर्व मुख्यमंत्री रामकृष्ण हेगड़े जन्म हुआ था.
5. नागा आन्दोलन का गठन करनेवाले जदोनांग:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1931 में नागा आन्दोलन का गठन करनेवाले जदोनांग का जन्म हुआ था.
6. संविधान का मसौदा तैयार करने:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1947 में डॉ॰ भीम राव अंबेडकर की अध्यक्षता में भारतीय संविधान सभा द्वारा संविधान का मसौदा तैयार करने के लिये एक प्रारूप समिति का गठन किया गया था.
7. वैज्ञानिक एक के. राधाकृष्णन:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1949 में वैज्ञानिक एक के. राधाकृष्णन का जन्म इरिन्जालाकुडा, केरल में हुआ था. उन्होंने 1970 में केरल विश्वविद्यालय से इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण किया था. उन्होंने आईआईएम, बैंगलूर में पीजीडीएम पूरा किया (1976) और आईआईटी, खड़गपुर से साथ ही ‘भारतीय भू-प्रेक्षण प्रणाली के लिए कुछ सामरिक नीतियाँ’ शीर्षक वाले शोध प्रबंध पर डॉक्टरेट की उपाधि 2000 में प्राप्त की थी. राधाकृष्णन एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रसिद्ध अंतरिक्ष वैज्ञानिक और रॉयल स्वीडिश अकादमी ऑफ साइंसेस के सदस्य भी हैं.
8. भारतीय ईसाई महिला संत सिस्टर यूप्रासिआ:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1952 में भारतीय ईसाई महिला संत सिस्टर यूप्रासिआ का निधन हुआ था.
9. नागरिक अधिकार अधिनियम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1957 में कांग्रेस ने नागरिक अधिकार अधिनियम 1957 को पारित किया था.
10. लोकदल पार्टी की स्थापना:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1974 में चौधरी चरण सिंह की अध्यक्षता में लोकदल पार्टी की स्थापना गई थी.
11. काज़ी नज़रुल इस्लाम:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1976 में बांग्ला कवि, संगीत सम्राट, संगीतज्ञ और दार्शनिक काज़ी नज़रुल इस्लाम का निधन हुआ था.
12. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी माधव श्रीहरि अणे:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1980 में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी माधव श्रीहरि अणे का जन्म महाराष्ट्र के यवतमाल ज़िले के वणी नामक स्थान में हुआ था. लोगों में श्रद्धा के कारण ‘बापूजी अणे’ या ‘लोकनायक अणे’ के नाम से विख्यात हैं. उनके पिता का नाम श्रीहरि अणे है. बापूजी अणे ने ‘कोलकाता विश्वविद्यालय’ से उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त की और 1904 -07 ई. तक अध्यापन का कार्य भी करते रहे. उसके बाद उन्होंने यवतमाल में वकालत आरम्भ कर दी थी. जब ‘होमरूल लीग’ की स्थापना हुई तो उसके उपाध्यक्षों में अणे भी थे. वर्ष 1921-30 तक उन्होंने विदर्भ प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी की अध्यक्षता की साथ ही वे कुछ वर्षों तक ‘भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस’ की कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य भी रहे. ‘स्वराज्य पार्टी’ की ओर से वे केन्द्रीय असेम्बली के सदस्य चुने गए और वहाँ अपने दल के मंत्री बने थे. स्वतंत्रता के बाद वे संविधान सभा के सदस्य चुने गए थे, किन्तु शीघ्र उन्हें बिहार के राज्यपाल का पदभार ग्रहण करना पड़ा और वर्ष 1952 तक वे राज्यपाल रहे.
13. अभिनेत्री श्रेया धनवंतरी:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1988 में अभिनेत्री श्रेया धनवंतरी का जन्म हैदराबाद में एक हिंदी भाषी पिता और एक तेलुगु भाषी माँ के यहाँ हुआ था. धन्वंतरी ने एनआईटी वारंगल से इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और संचार इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक किया है. धन्वंतरी ने भरतनाट्यम, कुचिपुड़ी, कथक, थिएटर और डांस में भी  प्रशिक्षण लिया है. धन्वंतरी चार (04) वर्ष से ही अभिनय कर रही है. इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई के दौरान धनवंतरी ने फेमिना मिस इंडिया साउथ 2008 में भाग लिया और इसमें वो प्रथम रनर-अप रहीं थी. मिस इंडिया 2008 की फाइनलिस्ट भी रह चुकी हैं  धन्वंतरी. धनवंतरी ने अपने अभिनय कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 2009 में तेलुगु फिल्म जोश से की थी. उन्होंने बॉलीवुड कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 2019 में फिल्म वाई चीट इंडिया से को थी. धनवंतरी ने वर्ष 2019 में अमेज़न प्राइम वीडियो वेब सीरीज़, द फैमिली मैन में ज़ोया की भूमिका से प्रसिद्ध हुई थी.
14. लेखक तुषार कांति घोष:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1994 में लेखक तुषार कांति घोष का निधन हुआ था.
15. राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न पुरस्कार:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1998 में पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटर सचिन तेंदुलकर को राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था.
16. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बनारसी दास गुप्ता:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2007 में हरियाणा के भूतपूर्व मुख्यमंत्री तथा स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बनारसी दास गुप्ता का निधन हुआ था.
17. नैनों परियोजना स्थल से अपने कर्मचारी हटाए:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के कार्यकर्ताओं के बवाल से क्षुब्ध होकर टाटा मोटर्स ने नैनों परियोजना स्थल (सिंगुर) से अपने कर्मचारी हटाए थे.
18. विधानसभा में बहुमत साबित किया:- आज ही के दिन वर्ष 2008 में झारखण्ड के नवनियुक्त मुख्यमंत्री शिबु सोरेन ने विधानसभा में अपना बहुमत साबित किया था.

1. Took the form of law: – On this day in the year 1833, the British Slave Abolition Act took the form of law.
2. Jivraj Mehta:- On this day in the year 1887, Dr. Jivraj Mehta was born. Was born in a poor family in Amreli town of Baroda princely state. Jivraj continued his education by taking scholarships and tuition. In Mumbai’s ‘Grant Medical College’, he got scholarships and prizes in seven out of eight subjects. After completing his studies at ‘Mumbai Medical College’, Jeevraj went to England for further studies with a scholarship from the College and the Tata Fund and obtained an MD. Be first in the examination. After passing some other examinations with honors, he came to India in the year 1915 and soon he was counted among the top doctors of Mumbai. Dr. Jivraj Mehta participated in the ‘Salt Satyagraha’ of the year 1930 AD and was arrested. In the ‘Quit India Movement’ of the year 1942, he also had to face a jail sentence. Dr. Jivraj Mehta was Gandhiji’s personal physician and colleague.
3. Hockey player Major Dhyanchand:- On this day in the year 1905, hockey player Major Dhyanchand was born in a Rajput family in Allahabad. In the year 1922, Dhyanchand joined the army as an ordinary soldier in the first Brahmin Regiment of Delhi. When Dhyanchand was admitted to the regiment, he was not fond of playing hockey. But Major Tiwari, a subedar of the same regiment, inspired Dhyanchand to play hockey. Dhyanchand also started playing hockey under the supervision of Major Tiwari. Seeing it, he became a great player in the world. In the year 1927, he was made Lance Naik. In the year 1937 AD, when he was the captain of the Indian hockey team, he was made Subedar. When the Second World War started, he was appointed ‘Lieutenant’ in the year 1943 AD and was made Captain in the year 1948 AD when India became independent.
4. Politician Ramakrishna Hegde:- On this day in the year 1926, politician Ramakrishna Hegde, former Chief Minister of Karnataka, was born.
5. Jadonang, who formed the Naga movement:- On this day in the year 1931, Jadonang, who formed the Naga movement, was born.
6. Drafting of the Constitution: – On this day in the year 1947, under the chairmanship of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, a drafting committee was constituted by the Indian Constituent Assembly to draft the Constitution.
7. Scientist A.K. Radhakrishnan:- On this day in the year 1949, scientist Ek K. Radhakrishnan was born in Irinjalakuda, Kerala. He passed his graduation in Electrical Engineering from Kerala University in 1970. He completed PGDM at IIM, Bangalore (1976) and obtained his doctorate from IIT, Kharagpur as well as in 2000 with a dissertation titled ‘Some Strategic Strategies for Indian Earth Observation System’. Radhakrishnan is also an internationally renowned space scientist and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

9. Civil Rights Act: – On this day in the year 1957, Congress passed the Civil Rights Act 1957.
10. Establishment of Lok Dal Party:- On this day in the year 1974, the Lok Dal Party was established under the chairmanship of Chaudhary Charan Singh.
11. Kazi Nazrul Islam:- On this day in the year 1976, Bengali poet, music emperor, musician, and philosopher Kazi Nazrul Islam passed away.
12. Freedom fighter Madhav Srihari Ane:- On this day in the year 1980, freedom fighter Madhav Srihari Ane was born at a place named Vani in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra. He is famous by the name of ‘Bapuji Ane’ or ‘Loknayak Ane’ because of his reverence among the people. His father’s name is Srihari Ane. Bapuji Ane obtained higher education from ‘Kolkata University’ and continued teaching till 1904-07 AD. After that, he started legal practice in Yavatmal. When the ‘Home Rule League’ was established, Ane was also among its vice presidents. He presided over the Vidarbha Pradesh Congress Committee from 1921-30 and was also a member of the executive committee of the ‘Indian National Congress for a few years. On behalf of ‘The Swarajya Party’, he was elected a member of the Central Assembly and became a minister of his party there. After independence, he was elected a member of the Constituent Assembly, but soon he had to take over as the Governor of Bihar and remained the Governor till the year 1952.
13. Actress Shreya Dhanwantri: – On this day in the year 1988, actress Shreya Dhanwantri was born in Hyderabad to a Hindi-speaking father and a Telugu-speaking mother. Dhanwantri is a graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Warangal. Dhanvantri has also taken training in Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, theater and dance. Dhanwantari is acting for four (04) years. While studying engineering, Dhanwantri participated in Femina Miss India South 2008 and was the first runner-up in it. Dhanwantri has also been the finalist of Miss India 2008. Dhanvanthary started her acting career in the year 2009 with the Telugu film Josh. He started his Bollywood career in the year 2019 with the film Y Cheat India. Dhanwantri rose to fame in the year 2019 with the role of Zoya in the Amazon Prime Video web series, The Family Man.
