सत्संग की समाप्ति के बाद कुछ भक्तों ने महाराज जी से पूछा कि, महाराज जी श्रावण मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की जो एकादशी होती है उस एकादशी के व्रत की महिमा व विधि के बारे में बताएं. महाराज जी सूना है कि, पुत्र की चाह रखने वालों के लिए ये व्रत अत्यंत श्रेष्ठ माना गया है.
वाल व्यास सुमन जी महाराज कहते हैं कि, हिंदी वर्ष के पांचवें महीने को श्रावण का महीना कहते हैं. महाराज जी कहते हैं कि इस मास में श्रवण नक्षत्र युक्त पूर्णिमा होती है इस कारण भी इसे श्रावण कहा जाता है. महाराज जी कहते हैं कि वैसे तो ये मास भगवान् आशुतोष का है. भगवान् शिव ने स्वयं कहा है कि सभी मासों में मुझे श्रावण का महीना अत्यंत ही प्रिय है
द्वादशस्वपि मासेषु श्रावणो मेऽतिवल्लभ: । श्रवणार्हं यन्माहात्म्यं तेनासौ श्रवणो मत: ।।
श्रवणर्क्षं पौर्णमास्यां ततोऽपि श्रावण: स्मृत:। यस्य श्रवणमात्रेण सिद्धिद: श्रावणोऽप्यत: ।।
महाराज जी कहते हैं श्रावण मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी को श्रावण पुत्रदा एकादशी कहते हैं और इस व्रत की कथा सुनने मात्र से वाजपेयी यज्ञ का फल प्राप्त हो जाता है. संतान सुख की इच्छा रखने वालों इस व्रत का पालन करने से संतान की प्राप्ति होती है. पुराणों के अनुसार दशमी तिथि को शाम में सूर्यास्त के बाद भोजन नहीं करना चाहिए और रात्रि में भगवान का ध्यान करते हुए सोना चाहिए. एकादशी का व्रत रखने वाले को अपने मन को शांत व स्थिर रखना चाहिए, और किसी भी प्रकार के द्वेष की भावना या क्रोध नहीं करना चाहिए साथ ही पर निंदा व चुगली से दूर रहना चाहिए.
पूजन सामाग्री :-
वेदी, कलश, सप्तधान, पंच पल्लव, रोली, गोपी चन्दन, गंगा जल, दूध, दही, गाय के घी का दीपक, सुपाड़ी, शहद, पंचामृत, मोगरे की अगरबत्ती, ऋतू फल, फुल, आंवला, अनार, लौंग, नारियल, नीबूं, नवैध, केला और तुलसी पत्र व मंजरी.
पूजा-विधि :-
एकादशी के दिन स्नानादि से पवित्र होने के पश्चात संकल्प करके श्रीविष्णु के विग्रह की पूजन करना चाहिए. भगवान विष्णु को फूल, फल, तिल, दूध, पंचामृत आदि नाना पदार्थ निवेदित करके, आठों प्रहर निर्जल रहकर विष्णु जी के नाम का स्मरण एवं कीर्तन करना चाहिए. एकादशी व्रत में ब्राह्मण भोजन एवं दक्षिणा का बड़ा ही महत्व है अत: ब्राह्मण को भोजन करवाकर दक्षिणा सहित विदा करने के पश्चात ही भोजन ग्रहण करें. इस प्रकार जो कामिका एकादशी का व्रत रखता है, उसकी सभी कामनाएं पूर्ण हो जाती हैं.
कथा:-
द्वापर युग के आरंभ में महिष्मति नाम की एक नगरी थी, जिसमें महीजित नाम का राजा राज्य करता था, लेकिन पुत्रहीन होने के कारण राजा को राज्य सुखदायक नहीं लगता था. उसका मानना था कि, जिसके संतान न हो, उसके लिए यह लोक और परलोक दोनों ही दुखदायक होते हैं. पुत्र सुख की प्राप्ति के लिए राजा ने अनेक उपाय किए, परंतु राजा को पुत्र की प्राप्ति नहीं हुई. वृद्धावस्था आती देखकर राजा ने प्रजा के प्रतिनिधियों को बुलाया और कहा, हे “प्रजा जनों” मेरे खजाने में अन्याय से उपार्जन किया हुआ धन नहीं है, न ही मैंने कभी देवताओं तथा ब्राह्मणों का धन भी छीना हूँ. किसी दूसरे की धरोहर को भी मैंने नहीं ली है, प्रजा को पुत्र के समान पालता रहा हूँ. मैं अपराधियों को पुत्र तथा बाँधवों की तरह दंड देता रहा, कभी भी किसी से घृणा नहीं की, और सबको समान भी माना हूँ, सज्जनों की सदा पूजा करता हूँ, इस प्रकार धर्म-पूर्वक राज्य करते हुए भी मेरे पुत्र नहीं है. सो मैं अत्यंत दुखी अनुभव कर रहा हूँ, इसका क्या कारण है आप लोग ही बताइए?
राजा महीजित की इस बात को विचारने के लिए मंत्री तथा प्रजा के प्रतिनिधि वन को गए, वहाँ बड़े-बड़े ऋषि-मुनियों के दर्शन किए और राजा की उत्तम कामना की पूर्ति के लिए किसी श्रेष्ठ तपस्वी मुनि को देखते-फिरते रहे. एक आश्रम में उन्होंने एक अत्यंत वयोवृद्ध धर्म के ज्ञाता, बड़े तपस्वी, परमात्मा में मन लगाए हुए निराहार, जितेंद्रिय, सनातन धर्म के गूढ़ तत्वों को जानने वाले, समस्त शास्त्रों के ज्ञाता महात्मा लोमश मुनि को देखा, जिनका कल्प के व्यतीत होने पर एक रोम गिरता था. सबने जाकर ऋषि को प्रणाम किया, और उन लोगों को देखकर मुनि ने पूछा कि, आप लोग किस कारण से आए हैं? नि:संदेह मैं आप लोगों का हित ही करूँगा, मेरा जन्म केवल दूसरों के उपकार के लिए हुआ है, इसमें संदेह मत करना. लोमश ऋषि के ऐसे वचन सुनकर सब लोग बोले, “हे महर्षे” आप हमारी बात जानने में ब्रह्मा से भी अधिक समर्थ हैं, अत: आप हमारे इस संदेह को दूर कीजिए. महिष्मति पुरी का धर्मात्मा राजा महीजित प्रजा का पुत्र के समान पालन करता है, फिर भी वह पुत्रहीन होने के कारण दु:खी है. उन लोगों ने आगे कहा कि, हम लोग उसकी प्रजा हैं, और हम सभी राजा के दुःख में दुखी: हैं, अत: आपके दर्शन से हमें पूर्ण विश्वास हो रहा है कि हमारा यह संकट अवश्य दूर हो जाएगा, क्योंकि महान पुरुषों के दर्शन मात्र से भी अनेक कष्ट दूर हो जाते हैं. अत: अब आप कृपा करके राजा के पुत्र होने का उपाय हमें बताने का कष्ट करें.
इन सभी बातों को सुनकर ऋषि ने थोड़ी देर के लिए नेत्र बंद किए और राजा के पूर्व जन्म का वृत्तांत जानकर कहने लगे कि, यह राजा पूर्व जन्म में एक निर्धन वैश्य था. निर्धन होने के कारण इसने कई बुरे कर्म भी किए. यह एक गाँव से दूसरे गाँव व्यापार करने जाया करता था. एक समय ज्येष्ठ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वादशी के दिन मध्याह्न के समय वह जबकि खुद भी दो दिन से भूखा-प्यासा था, और एक जलाशय पर जल पीने गया. उसी स्थान पर एक तत्काल की ब्याही हुई प्यासी गौ जल पी रही थी.
राजा ने उस प्यासी गाय को जल पीते हुए हटा दिया और स्वयं जल पीने लगा, इसीलिए राजा को यह दु:ख सहना पर रहा है. एकादशी के दिन भूखा रहने से वह राजा हुआ और प्यासी गौ को जल पीते हुए हटाने के कारण पुत्र वियोग का दु:ख सहना पड़ रहा है. ऐसा सुनकर सब लोग कहने लगे कि महात्मन्, कोई उपाय हो तो हमें बताइए, किस प्रकार राजा का यह पाप नष्ट हो जाए. लोमश मुनि ने कहा कि, श्रावण शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी को जिसे पुत्रदा एकादशी भी कहते हैं, तुम सब लोग व्रत करो और रात्रि को जागरण करो तो इससे राजा का यह पूर्व जन्म का पाप अवश्य नष्ट हो जाएगा, साथ ही राजा को पुत्र की अवश्य प्राप्ति होगी. लोमश ऋषि के ऐसे वचन सुनकर मंत्रियों सहित सारी प्रजा नगर को वापस लौट आई, और जब श्रावण शुक्ल एकादशी आई, तो ऋषि की आज्ञानुसार सबने पुत्रदा एकादशी का व्रत और जागरण किया. इसके पश्चात द्वादशी के दिन इसके पुण्य का फल राजा को दिया गया. उस पुण्य के प्रभाव से रानी ने गर्भ धारण किया और प्रसव काल समाप्त होने पर उसके एक बड़ा तेजस्वी पुत्र पैदा हुआ. अत: संतान सुख की इच्छा हासिल करने वाले इस व्रत को अवश्य करें. इसके माहात्म्य को सुनने से मनुष्य सभी पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है, और इस लोक में संतान सुख भोगकर परलोक में स्वर्ग को प्राप्त होता है.
एकादशी का फल :-
एकादशी प्राणियों के परम लक्ष्य, भगवद भक्ति, को प्राप्त करने में सहायक होती है. यह दिन प्रभु की पूर्ण श्रद्धा से सेवा करने के लिए अति शुभकारी एवं फलदायक माना गया है. इस दिन व्यक्ति इच्छाओं से मुक्त हो कर यदि शुद्ध मन से भगवान की भक्तिमयी सेवा करता है तो वह अवश्य ही प्रभु की कृपापात्र बनता है.
ध्यान दें :-
प्रातः काल सूर्योदय से पूर्व उठकर स्नान करे तथा स्वच्छ वस्त्र धारण कर भगवान् विष्णु की प्रतिमा के सामने घी का दीपक जलाएं, और भगवान् विष्णु की पूजा में तुलसी, ऋतु फल एवं तिल का प्रयोग अवश्य करें. व्रत के दिन अन्न वर्जित करें, निराहार रहें और शाम में पूजा के बाद चाहें तो फल ग्रहण कर सकते है. यदि आप किसी कारण व्रत नहीं रखते हैं तो भी, एकादशी के दिन चावल का प्रयोग भोजन में नहीं करना चाहिए. एकादशी के दिन रात्रि जागरण का बड़ा महत्व होता है, अगर संभव हो तो, रात में जगकर भगवान का भजन कीर्तन करें. एकादशी के दिन विष्णु सहस्रनाम का पाठ करने से भगवान विष्णु की विशेष कृपा प्राप्त होती है. अगले दिन यानी द्वादशी तिथि को ब्राह्मण भोजन करवाने के बाद स्वयं भोजन करें.

After the end of the satsang, some devotees asked Maharaj ji that, Maharaj ji should tell about the glory and method of fasting on Ekadashi which is observed on Shukla Paksha of Shravan month. Maharaj ji has heard that this fast is considered very auspicious for those who wish to have a son.
Valvyassumanji Maharaj says that the fifth month of the Hindi year is called the month of Shravan. Maharaj ji says that in this month there is a full moon with Shravan Nakshatra, which is why it is also called Shravan. Maharaj ji says that this month belongs to Lord Ashutosh. Lord Shiva himself has said that among all the months, I loves the month of Shravan very much.
Dvaadashasvapi Maasheshu Shravano Mativallabhah। Shravanarhan Yanmaahatmyan Tenasau Shravano Matah।।
Shravanarakshan poornamaasyaan Tatopi Shravanah Smrtah। Yasy Shravanamaatren Siddhidah Shravanopyatah।।
Maharaj ji says that the Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Shravan is called Shravan Putrada Ekadashi and just by listening to the story of this fast one gets the fruit of Vajpayee Yagya. Those who wish for the happiness of children, by observing this fast, get children. According to Puranas, one should not eat food after sunset on Dashami Tithi and should sleep at night while meditating on God. One who observes Ekadashi fast should keep his mind calm and stable, and should not have any kind of hatred or anger, as well as stay away from defamation and backbiting.
Worship material: –
Vedi, Kalash, Saptadhan, Panch Pallav, Roli, Gopi Chandan, Ganges water, milk, curd, lamp of cow’s ghee, betel nut, honey, panchamrit, incense sticks of mogre, seasonal fruits, flowers, amla, pomegranate, cloves, coconut, Lemon, illegal, banana and basil leaves and manjari.
Worship method: –
On the day of Ekadashi, after getting purified by bathing, one should worship the Deity of Shri Vishnu by making a resolution. By offering flowers, fruits, sesame seeds, milk, panchamrit, etc. to Lord Vishnu, remembering and chanting the name of Vishnu ji should remain waterless for eight hours. Brahmin food and Dakshina are very important in Ekadashi fast, so take food only after sending the Brahmin away with Dakshina after feeding them. In this way, the one who fasts on Kamika Ekadashi, all his wishes are fulfilled.
Story:-
At the beginning of Dwapar Yuga, there was a city named Mahishmati, in which a king named Mahijit used to rule, but due to being childless, the king did not find the kingdom pleasant. He believed that both this world and the hereafter are painful for those who do not have children. The king took many measures to get the happiness of a son, but the king could not get a son. Seeing the coming of old age, the king called the representatives of the people and said, “O people”, there is no unjustly earned money in my treasury, nor have I ever snatched the money of gods and Brahmins. I have not taken anyone else’s heritage, I have been raising the people like a son. I used to punish criminals like sons and relatives, never hated anyone, and also considered everyone equal, and always worshiped gentlemen, even though I rule righteously, I don’t have sons. So I am feeling very sad, what is the reason for this, only you tell me?
To consider this matter of King Mahijit, the ministers and the representatives of the people went to the forest, saw great sages and sages there, and kept looking at some great ascetic sage to fulfill the best wish of the king. In an ashram, he saw Mahatma Lomash Muni, a very old scholar of religion, great ascetic, foodless, Jitendriya, knowing the esoteric elements of Sanatan Dharma, knowledgeable of all the scriptures, who after the end of Kalpa Used to fall Everyone went and bowed down to the sage, and seeing those people, the sage asked, for what reason have you come? Undoubtedly, I will only do good to you people, I was born only for the benefit of others, do not doubt it. Hearing such words of Rishi Lomash, everyone said, “O Maharishi” you are more capable than Brahma in knowing our words, so you remove this doubt of ours. Mahishmati Puri’s pious king Mahijit follows the people like a son, yet he is sad because of being childless. Those people further said that we are his subjects, and we are all saddened by the king’s sorrow, so we have full faith in your darshan that our crisis will definitely go away because the darshan of great men is enough. Many troubles also go away from this. So, now you kindly try to tell us the way to become the son of a king.
Hearing all these things, the sage closed his eyes for a while and after knowing the story of the king’s previous birth, said that this king was a poor Vaishya in his previous birth. Being poor, he also did many bad deeds. He used to go from one village to another to do business. Once upon a time, on the twelfth day of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month, at midday, when he himself was hungry and thirsty for two days, he went to a reservoir to drink water. At the same place, a thirsty cow who got married immediately was drinking water.
The king removed that thirsty cow while drinking water and started drinking water himself, that’s why the king has to bear this sorrow. Being hungry on the day of Ekadashi, he became a king and because of removing the thirsty cow while drinking water, he had to bear the sorrow of separation from his son. Hearing this, everyone started saying that Mahatman, if there is any solution, then tell us, how this sin of the king can be destroyed. Lomash Muni said that, on the Ekadashi of Shravan Shukla Paksha, which is also known as Putrada Ekadashi, all of you fast and stay awake at night, then this sin of the king’s previous birth will definitely be destroyed, as well as the king must have a son. will receive. Hearing such words of Lomash Rishi, all the people including the ministers returned to the city, and when Shravan Shukla Ekadashi came, everyone observed Putrada Ekadashi fast and Jagran as per the sage’s order. After this, on the day of Dwadashi, the fruit of his virtue was given to the king. With the influence of that virtue, the queen conceived and after the end of the delivery period, a very bright son was born to her. Therefore, those who wish for the happiness of children must observe this fast. By listening to its greatness, man becomes free from all sins, and after enjoying the happiness of children in this world, he attains heaven in the hereafter.
Results of Ekadashi: –
Ekadashi helps in achieving the ultimate goal of living beings, devotion to God. This day is considered very auspicious and fruitful to serve the Lord with full devotion. On this day, if a person frees himself from desires and does devotional service to God with a pure heart, then he definitely becomes blessed by God.
Pay attention:-
Wake up early in the morning before sunrise take a bath wear clean clothes light a lamp of ghee in front of the idol of Lord Vishnu, and make sure to use Tulsi, seasonal fruits, and sesame seeds in the worship of the Lord Vishnu. Avoid eating food on the day of fasting, remain fasting and after worship in the evening, if you want, you can take fruits. Even if you do not fast for any reason, rice should not be used in food on Ekadashi day. On the day of Ekadashi, there is great importance of night vigil, if possible, wake up in the night and do bhajan kirtan of God. Reciting Vishnu Sahasranamam on Ekadashi gives special blessings to Lord Vishnu. On the next day i.e. on Dwadashi Tithi, after providing food to Brahmins, eat yourself.
