The mind is very fickle, it has a very close relationship with the body, apparently, all kinds of work is done by our senses, but in reality, it is the mind that operates it, that is why the effect of mental thoughts is on the body. But it always happens. Due to this our food also does not remain untouched by it. It has been said in the Puranas, that the kind of food a man eats, the same effect falls on his mind. There are three types of food – Satvik, Rajasik, and Tamasik. A saying has also been said, that ‘the food you eat, the mind becomes like it’. Way food affects the mind, in the same way, the thoughts of the mind and its state also affect the food. It is advised to remain calm and cheerful at the time of eating, it means that the food eaten in a state of any kind of excitement, passion, anger, or mental agitation is not digested properly, and due to this, the body is not able to get proper nutrition. Don’t even get the benefits. Many times the food taken in the direction of special stimuli causes direct harm to the body.

As soon as the feeling of sexuality arises, the heat of the body increases, the breath becomes hot, and the temperature of the skin and the circulation of blood also increases. Due to the burning of this heat, some metals start melting and some also start burning. The food eaten at such a time is not digested properly, creates impure blood, and gives rise to indiscretion. Food eaten in an angry state also gives a very harmful effect on the body. Scientists in New York took a few drops of the angry man’s blood and delivered it to the rabbit’s body by spraying, the result was that after twenty-two minutes the rabbit started biting the man. After an hour, he himself died by stomping his feet. The toxic sugar produced due to anger makes the blood extremely impure. Due to this impurity, the face turns red and the whole body turns pale. Digestive power deteriorates, nerves get stretched, and the outbreak of heat also increases. Food eaten in an angry state proves to be harmful to the body. In this condition, instead of digestive juices, toxic acids start being produced, these acids mix with food and create distortion in the body’s components. Ayurvedic medicine is to drink a glass of cold water in times of anger. This gives coolness to the increased heat of the brain and body. According to the opinion of scholars, it is better to get up from the place where anger comes or to engage in some other work. Due to this the direction of the mind changes and the inclination of the mind becomes on the other side. Eating after some time in a calm state of mind is beneficial for health. As a result of eating food in the mood of greed, the process of accumulation in the body starts increasing and by discarding it, its effect is visible immediately in the stomach. The impulse of stool and urine should never be stopped. There is a hindrance in clearing the loose stools, the stomach feels full, and at the time of defecation, the muscles of the intestine follow the orders of their operator i.e. lethargic mind. In this state, the muscles are very stingy in sacrifice. As a result, the feces which are in excessive quantity only comes out, the rest remains in the stomach as it is and rots and produces poisons. Stomach poison gets mixed in the blood and becomes a home for innumerable diseases. Heart palpitations, headaches, lack of sleep, and arthritis are often caused by this type of contaminated disorder.

Just as the disorder of fear also has a very fatal effect on the body. The human body is the most strong and most powerful. If the feelings of fear enter it, then it does not take long for the body to be destroyed. In the state of fear, the internal processes of our body get obstructed, and the work of the senses gets stopped, this affects the flow of blood in the veins, the function of the seminal vesicles, and the functions of the stomach. Due to this, the heart rate becomes intense, it starts beating loudly, blood pressure increases, digestion stops, and sugar starts coming out of the muscles through the liver. Food eaten in a state of fear makes the body and mind weak and prone to diseases. Generally, it is seen that mothers show mental fear like snatching food or coming of black ghosts while feeding the children, this way of feeding the children should definitely be changed. With this kind of mental state, even good substances have bad effects. The person who sees evil in every substance gets the same result, so whatever normal food is available according to his circumstances or time, he should accept it with a happy mind and consider it beneficial for the body and mind. By thinking seriously about some subject while eating food or running the mind on some important problem, the body’s blood starts moving towards the brain, due to this, there is a decrease in the digestive system, there is weakness, there is an obstruction in the digestion process. It seems, that the food is digested late or incompletely. Whenever you eat food, do it in solitude and with a concentrated mind, it has been written in the Puranas and scriptures.
