मानवीय संवेदनाओं के साथ आनंद मनाने या यूँ कहें कि हंसी-ठिठोली करने का दिन है. आज के दिन कोई सरकारी छूट्टी भी नहीं है फिर भी व्यस्त जिन्दगी या यूँ कहें कि व्यस्त समय के साथ अपने सहयोगियों, मित्रों और परिवार के साथ मुर्ख बनकर या बनाकर आनंद की तृप्ति कराने का दिन है आज की तारीख. आज एक अप्रैल है जिसे ‘आल फूल्स डे’ के रूप में जाना जाता है. भारत ही नहीं, पूरी दुनिया के लोग अपनी-अपनी संस्कृति के अनुसार इस दिन का आनंद लेते हैं. इस परंपरा की शुरुआत कब हुई थी, इसके कई मत हैं. बताते चलें कि, इस परम्परा की शुरुआत स्पेन के पूर्व राजा माऊँटोबेट ने की थी वहीं दूसरी ओर अप्रैल फूल की शुरुआत 17वीं सदी में हुई है. हंसी-मजाक करने का सिलसिला वर्ष 1564 के बाद फ्रांस से शुरू हुआ. इस दिन फ़्रांस में लोग एक-दूसरे से मिलते हैं और उपहार और शुभकामनाएं भेजते हैं.
बताते चलें कि, वर्ष 1564 में फ्रांस के राजा चार्ल्स नवम ने बेहतर कैलेंडर अपनाने का आदेश दिया था. इस नये कैलेंडर में 01 जनवरी को वर्ष का प्रथम दिन माना गया था. अधिकतर लोगों ने कैलेंडर को अपना लिया लेकिन, कुछ लोगो ने अपनाने से इंकार कर दिया और ऐसे लोगों ने 01 अप्रैल को ही वर्ष का पहला दिन मानते थे. इस पर नया कैलेंडर अपनाने वालों ने पुराने कैलन्डर मानने वालों को विभिन्न प्रकार के मजाक और झुठे उपहार देना शुरू किया. तभी से इस दिन को ‘फूल्स डे’ के रूप में मनाते चलें आ रहे हैं.
दुनिया में फ़्रांस और रोम ऐसे देश है जहां ‘अप्रैल फूल दिवस’ सात दिनों तक मनाया जाता है. इन सात दिनों में मूर्खों, कवियों और व्यंगकारों के कार्क्रम होते हैं. वहीं चीन में ‘अप्रैल फूल’ के दिन मिठाई बांटने और बैरंग पार्सल भेजने की परम्परा है. जापान में अप्रैल फूल के दिन बच्चे पतंग उड़ाते है एक ख़ास रकम लिखकर, जो भी व्यक्ति पतंग पकड़कर ईनाम मांगने वाला अप्रैल फूल बन जाता है. वहीं स्कॉटलैंड में मुर्गा चुरा कर मजा लेने की परम्परा है साथ ही तरह-तरह से एक-दुसरे को बेवकूफ बनाने की परम्परा है.
रोम और मध्य यूरोप में 20 मार्च से 05 अप्रैल तक नया साल मनाया जाता है.वहीं, भारत में हिन्दू पंचांग के अनुसार,वर्ष का आरंभ और प्रारंभ वसंत में ही होता है. इस मौसम में राग, रंग और उत्सव मनाने की सबसे अच्छी ऋतु मानी जाती है. इस ऋतु को ऋतुराज भी कहते है. ऋतुराज के मौसम में खुमार, मादकता और चंचलता व शोखी बिखरने लगती है. पेड़ों में नये पत्तों के साथ आम के पेड़ बौरों से लद जाते है. सरसों के पीले फूल आकर्षक छटा बिखरने लगती हैं. पौराणिक ग्रन्थों के अनुसार, वसंत को कामदेव का पुत्र कहा जाता है. भगवान कृष्ण ने भी ‘गीता’ में कहा है कि ऋतुओं में ‘मैं’ वसंत हूँ.
बताते चलें कि, जुनियल कैलेंडर जो कि वर्ष 1582 में बनाया गया था. जुनियल कैलेंडर ने 01 अप्रैल को नया साल माना था. इसके बाद पोप ग्रेगी 13वें ने ‘ग्रेगियन कैलेंडर’ का निर्माण किया जिसमें, 01 जनवरी को नया साल माना और घोषित कर दिया. वर्ष 1660 में कई देशों ने ‘ग्रेगियन कैलेंडर’ को स्वीकार कर लिया. स्वीकार करने वाले देशों में जर्मनी, नार्वे और दनिश थे लेकिन, वर्ष 1759 में इंग्लैण्ड ने भी ‘ग्रेगियन कैलेंडर’ स्वीकार कर लिया. लेकिन, फ़्रांस के लोगों को लगा कि, उन्हें मुर्ख बनाया गया है तब, फ़्रांस ने भी ‘ग्रेगियन कैलेंडर’ को स्वीकार कर पुराने कैलेंडर के नववर्ष को ‘मुर्ख दिवस’ घोषित कर दिया.
बताते चलें कि, अप्रैल के पहले दिन को मुर्ख दिवस का विरोध यूरोप के कई देशों ने किया, कई तरह के विरोध की गई लेकिन, मुर्ख दिवस अब परम्परा का रूप ले लिया है जिसका इन्तजार हर किसी को होता है. इस दिन के लिए कई तरह की तैयारियां भी की जाती हैं.

Whereas in China, there is a tradition of distributing sweets and sending colorful parcels on the day of ‘April Fool’. In Japan, on the day of April fool, children fly kites after writing down a specific amount. Whoever catches the kite and asks for a reward becomes the April Fool. Whereas in Scotland, there is a tradition of having fun by stealing cocks and also of fooling each other in various ways.
In Rome and Central Europe, the New Year is celebrated from March 20 to April 5. Whereas in India, according to the Hindu calendar, the year begins and ends in spring. This season is considered the best season to celebrate ragas, colors, and festivals. This season is also called Rituraj. In the season of Rituraj, hangover, intoxication, and playfulness and fun begin to dissipate. Mango trees are laden with blossoms along with new leaves. The yellow mustard flowers start spreading their attractive hues. According to mythological texts, Vasant is said to be the son of Kamadeva. Lord Krishna has also said in ‘Gaeta’ that ‘I’ am the spring among the seasons.

After this, Pope Gregory XIII created the ‘Gregian Calendar’ in which January 1 was considered and declared as the New Year. In 1660, many countries adopted the ‘Gregian Calendar’. The accepting countries included Germany, Norway, and Denmark, but in 1759, England also adopted the ‘Gregorian Calendar’. But, the people of France felt that they had been fooled, and then France also accepted the ‘Gregorian calendar’ and declared the new year of the old calendar as ‘Fool’s Day’.
