- राजनीतिज्ञ आर.एन. माधोलकर:- वर्ष 1857 में भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ आर.एन. माधोलकर का जन्म धूलिया, खानदेश में एक मध्यमवर्गीय परिवार में हुआ था. आंशिक रूप से उन्हें धूलिया में और आंशिक रूप से विदर्भ में शिक्षा मिली थी. उसके बाद वो एलफिंस्टोन कॉलेज(मुम्बई )से स्नातक की उपाधि प्राप्त की, जहां उन्हें फेलोशिप भी दिया गया. उन्होंने पटना में आयोजित भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के 27वें अधिवेशन (1912) की अध्यक्षता की थी। उनसे पहले वर्ष 1911 में आयोजित कांग्रेस के कलकत्ता अधिवेशन में (पटना) भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के 27वें सत्र की अध्यक्षता की.उन्होंने महिला शिक्षा, विधवा पुनर्विवाह और अस्पृश्यता को हटाने जैसे सामाजिक सुधारों की उन्होंने वकालत भी की. गोपाल कृष्ण गोखले के अनुयायी के रूप में, उनका मानना था कि विकासशील राष्ट्रवाद को ब्रिटिश सहयोग की आवश्यकता है और इसलिए राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन संवैधानिक और अहिंसक होना चाहिए.
- पूर्व विदेश मंत्री नटवर सिंह:- वर्ष 1931 में भारतीय राजनेता व विद्वान, पूर्व विदेश मंत्री नटवर सिंह का जन्म जगिना (भरतपुर, राजस्थान) के शाही घर में हुआ था.नटवर सिंह भारत के पूर्व फॉरेन सर्विस ऑफिसर में वर्ष 1953 में चुने गए और 31 सालों तक अपनी सेवाएं प्रदान की.वर्ष 1966 में वह प्रधानमंत्री सचिवालय में नियुक्त किए गए. इसी दौरान उन्होंने राष्ट्रमंडल बैठकों में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया.वर्ष 1984 में नटवर सिंह को पद्मभूषण से सम्मानित किया गया. नटवर सिंह ने कांग्रेस का हाथ वर्ष 1984 में थामा और कांग्रेस के टिकट पर उन्होंने 08वें लोकसभा चुनाव में राजस्थान के भरतपुर से जीत दर्ज की. इसके बाद वर्ष 1985 में सिंह राजीव गांधी की नेतृत्व वाली सरकार में कोयला और खदान मंत्री बनाए गए. वर्ष 1986-89 तक वह विदेश मंत्री भी रहे.वर्ष 1987 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा न्यू यॉर्क में आयोजित निरस्त्रीकरण सम्मलेन के अध्यक्ष भी बने.वर्ष 2004 में प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह के कार्यकाल में उन्हें फिर से विदेश मंत्री बनाया गया. नटवर सिंह सबसे ज्यादा अपनी आत्मकथा को लेकर चर्चा में रहे.अगस्त 2014 में आई नटवर सिंह आत्मकथा ‘वन लाइफ इस नॉट इनफ’ ने भारत की राजनीती में तहलका सा मचा दिया था.
- साहित्यकार गुलशेर ख़ाँ शानी:- वर्ष 1933 में प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार गुलशेर ख़ाँ शानी का जन्म जगदलपुर में हुआ था. उन्होंने लेखनी का सफ़र जगदलपुर से आरंभ कर ग्वालियर फिर भोपाल और दिल्ली तक तय किया.वे ‘मध्य प्रदेश साहित्यि परिषद’, भोपाल के सचिव और परिषद की साहित्यिक पत्रिका ‘साक्षात्कार’ के संस्थायपक-संपादक रहे.दिल्लीर में वे ‘नवभारत टाइम्स’ के सहायक संपादक भी रहे और साहित्य अकादमी से संबद्ध हो गए.साहित्यक अकादमी की पत्रिका ‘समकालीन भारतीय साहित्ये’ के भी वे संस्थारपक संपादक रहे थे.शानी एक ऐसे कथा लेखक है जो अपनी समसामयिक विषय की पृष्ठभूमि को अपने लेखन से प्रभावित करते रहे हैं.इनके उपन्यास साहित्य के पात्र जितना कुछ बोलते है उससे कहीं अधिक अपने भीतर की पीड़ा और वेदना को अभिव्यक्त भी करते हैं.शानी द्वारा रचित उपन्यास ‘काला जल’ में संवादात्मक शैली भी देखने को मिलती है.शानी के उपन्यास साहित्य की शैली में विविधता देखने को मिलती है जो कि इनके साहित्य में कलात्मक एवं रोचकता की वृद्धि करता है.
- भाषाविद गोपाल चंद्र प्रहराज:- वर्ष 1945 में उड़िया भाषा के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार तथा भाषाविद गोपाल चंद्र प्रहराज का निधन हुआ.
- अन्तरराष्ट्रीय टेलेक्स सेवा:- वर्ष 1960 में भारत और ब्रिटेन के बीच अन्तरराष्ट्रीय टेलेक्स सेवा की शुरूआत हुई थी.
- अभिनेत्री सोनल चौहान:- वर्ष 1987 में भारतीय फैशन मॉडल, गायक और अभिनेत्री सोनल चौहान का जन्म नई दिल्ली में रॉयल राजपूत परिवार में हुआ था. इनके पिता का नाम रघुराज सिंह चौहन और माता का नाम शिवानी चौहान है. वर्ष 2005 में उन्हें मिस वर्ल्ड टूरिज्म बनाया गया उससे पहले सोनल मिस फेमिना मिस इण्डिया की प्रतिभागी भी रह चुकी थी.सोनल ने अपने फिल्मी करियर की शुरूआत इमरान हाशमी के साथ फिल्म जन्नत में अभिनय से की थी. वर्ष 2008 में मुकेश भट्ट की फिल्म जन्नत से हिंदी सिनेमा में डेब्यू किया.
- 10वें प्रधानमंत्री:- वर्ष 1996 में अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने भारत के 10वें प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में शपथ ग्रहण की थी.
- दक्षेस शिखर सम्मेलन:- वर्ष 1999 में वर्ष 2002 में होने वाला दक्षेस शिखर सम्मेलन थिम्पू (भूटान) में कराये जाने की घोषणा हुई थी.
- दो दिवसीय यात्रा:- वर्ष 2008 में प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह भूटान की दो दिवसीय यात्रा पर थिम्पु पहुँचे.
- ओबीसी कोटा पर रोक:- वर्ष 2008 में उच्चतम न्यायालय ने केन्द्रीय शिक्षण संस्थानों के स्नाकोत्तर पाठ्यक्रमों में 27% ओबीसी कोटा पर रोक के कोलकाता उच्च न्यायालय के निर्णय को ख़ारिज कर दिया था.
- अजलन शाह कप हॉकी:- वर्ष 2010 में अजलन शाह कप हॉकी प्रतियोगिता में PTI पिछले विजेता भारत और दक्षिण कोरिया को बारिश के कारण मैच न हो सकने पर संयुक्त विजेता घोषित किया गया.
- प्रसिद्ध उद्योगपति रूसी मोदी:- वर्ष 2014 में भारत के प्रसिद्ध उद्योगपति तथा टाटा समूह के शीर्ष सदस्य रूसी मोदी (रुस्तमजी होमसजी मोदी) का निधन हुआ था. ज्ञात है कि,रुस्तमजी मोदी टाटा समूह के सदस्य और टाटा इस्पात के पूर्व अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक 2014 में थे.
- 16वें लोकसभा चुनाव:- वर्ष 2014 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी को 16 वें लोकसभा चुनाव में पूर्ण बहुमत मिला. 16 वें लोकसभा चुनाव में 282 सीटों के साथ भारतीय जनता पार्टी सबसे बड़ी पार्टी बनकर उभरी.

- Politician R.N. Madholkar:- In the year 1857 Indian politician R.N. Madholkar was born in a middle-class family in Dhulia, Khandesh. He was partly educated in Dhulia and partly in Vidarbha. After that, she graduated from Elphinstone College (Mumbai), where she was also given a fellowship. He presided over the 27th session of the Indian National Congress (1912) held in Patna. Prior to that, he presided over the 27th session of the Indian National Congress in the Calcutta session of Congress (Patna) held in the year 1911. He also advocated social reforms like women’s education, widow remarriage, and the removal of untouchability. As a follower of Gopal Krishna Gokhale, he believed that developing nationalism needed British cooperation and therefore the national movement should be constitutional and non-violent.
- Former Foreign Minister Natwar Singh:- In the year 1931, Indian politician and scholar, former Foreign Minister Natwar Singh was born in the royal house of Jagina (Bharatpur, Rajasthan). Natwar Singh was elected in the year 1953 as the former Foreign Service Officer of India. Went and provided his services for 31 years. In the year 1966, he was appointed to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat. Meanwhile, he represented India in Commonwealth meetings. In the year 1984, Natwar Singh was awarded the Padma Bhushan. Natwar Singh joined the Congress in the year 1984 and won the 08th Lok Sabha election from Bharatpur in Rajasthan on a Congress ticket. After this, in the year 1985, Singh was made the Minister of Coal and Mines in the government led by Rajiv Gandhi. He was also the Foreign Minister from 1986-89. In 1987, he also became the President of the Disarmament Conference organized by the United Nations in New York. In the year 2004, during the tenure of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he was again made the Foreign Minister. Natwar Singh was most discussed in his autobiography. In August 2014, Natwar Singh’s autobiography ‘One Life is Not Enough’ created a stir in Indian politics.
- Writer Gulsher Khan Shani:- In the year 1933, famous writer Gulsher Khan Shani was born in Jagdalpur. He traveled from Jagdalpur to Gwalior, then to Bhopal and Delhi. He was the secretary of ‘Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Parishad’, Bhopal, and the founder-editor of the council’s literary magazine ‘Sakshatkar’. In Delhi he was the editor of ‘Navbharat Times’ He was also an assistant editor and became associated with Sahitya Akademi. He was also the founding editor of Sahityak Akademi’s magazine ‘Contemporary Indian Literature’. Shani is such a story writer who has been influencing the background of his contemporary subject with his writings. The characters of his novels express their inner pain and anguish more than what they speak. Conversational style is also seen in the novel ‘Kala Jal’ composed by Shani. Which increases the artistic and interestingness of their literature.
- Linguist Gopal Chandra Prahraj:- In the year 1945, Gopal Chandra Prahraj, a famous litterateur and linguist of the Odia language, passed away.
- International telex service: – In the year 1960, international telex service was started between India and Britain.
- Actress Sonal Chauhan:- Indian fashion model, singer, and actress Sonal Chauhan was born into the Royal Rajput family in New Delhi in the year 1987. His father’s name is Raghuraj Singh Chauhan and his mother’s name is Shivani Chauhan. Before she was made Miss World Tourism in the year 2005, Sonal had also been a participant in Miss Femina Miss India. Sonal started her film career with Emraan Hashmi in the film Jannat. In the year 2008, he made his debut in Hindi cinema with Mukesh Bhatt’s film Jannat.

- SAARC Summit: – In the year 1999, it was announced that the SAARC Summit to be held in the year 2002 will be held in Thimphu (Bhutan).

- Famous industrialist Rusi Modi: – In the year 2014, India’s famous industrialist and top member of the Tata group Rusi Modi (Rustomji Homsji Modi) passed away. It is known that Rustomji Modi was a member of the Tata Group and former Chairman and Managing Director of Tata Steel in 2014.
- 16th Lok Sabha Elections:- In the year 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party got an absolute majority in the 16th Lok Sabha elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the single largest party with 282 seats in the 16th Lok Sabha elections.
