सीमा सुरक्षा बल (BSF) स्थापना दिवस हर वर्ष 01 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है. इसे भारत की सीमाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए समर्पित बल के स्थापना की वर्षगांठ के रूप में मनाया जाता है. बीएसएफ की स्थापना 01 दिसंबर 1965 को हुई थी, और इसे भारत की सीमाओं पर निगरानी और सुरक्षा के लिए जिम्मेदार बनाया गया.
वर्ष 1965 के भारत-पाक युद्ध के बाद, यह महसूस किया गया कि सीमाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए एक विशेष बल की आवश्यकता है. इस आवश्यकता को पूरा करने के लिए बीएसएफ का गठन किया गया. यह बल मुख्य रूप से भारत की पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश के साथ लगने वाली अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमाओं की निगरानी करता है.
सीमा सुरक्षा बल के मुख्य कार्य सीमा पार से होने वाली घुसपैठ और तस्करी को रोकना व सीमा पर शांति बनाए रखना. संकट या युद्ध के समय सेना की मदद करना.आंतरिक सुरक्षा और प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के दौरान सहायता प्रदान करना. इस दिन बीएसएफ मुख्यालयों और सीमा चौकियों पर विभिन्न कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते हैं.
सीमा सुरक्षा बल को “भारत की पहली रक्षा पंक्ति” (First Line of Defense of India) के रूप में जाना जाता है. यह बल देश की सुरक्षा और संप्रभुता को बनाए रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है.

Border Security Force (BSF) Foundation Day is celebrated every year on 01 December.
