संदीप और रोहन बचपन के दोस्त थे. दोनों ने स्कूल से लेकर कॉलेज तक साथ पढ़ाई की थी. संदीप शांत स्वभाव का था, जबकि रोहन थोड़ा तेज-तर्रार और चालाक था. हालांकि, दोनों की दोस्ती बहुत गहरी थी, या कम से कम संदीप ऐसा ही सोचता था.
कॉलेज खत्म होने के बाद दोनों ने एक साथ एक बिजनेस शुरू किया. शुरुआत में सब कुछ सही चल रहा था. संदीप मेहनत करता, नए क्लाइंट्स लाने के लिए भाग-दौड़ करता, और बिजनेस के लिए ईमानदारी से काम करता. वहीं, रोहन का ध्यान सिर्फ मुनाफे पर था। वह शॉर्टकट अपनाने और गलत तरीके से पैसा कमाने में विश्वास रखता था.
धीरे-धीरे संदीप को महसूस होने लगा कि कुछ गड़बड़ है. रोहन हर बार बिजनेस की बैलेंस शीट से जुड़े सवालों को टाल देता. एक दिन, संदीप ने जब अकाउंट्स की गहराई से जांच की, तो उसके होश उड़ गए. रोहन ने धीरे-धीरे बिजनेस के फंड्स से बड़ी रकम निकाल ली थी. उसने नकली डील्स दिखाकर पैसे अपने निजी अकाउंट में ट्रांसफर कर लिए थे. यह देखकर संदीप के पैरों तले जमीन खिसक गई. जिस दोस्त को वह अपना भाई मानता था, वही उसकी पीठ में छुरा घोंप रहा था.
संदीप ने रोहन से जवाब मांगा, लेकिन उसने उल्टा संदीप पर ही आरोप लगा दिया. रोहन ने सभी कर्मचारियों और क्लाइंट्स के सामने संदीप को धोखेबाज साबित करने की कोशिश की. संदीप को इस खेल की बिल्कुल उम्मीद नहीं थी. वह विश्वास नहीं कर पा रहा था कि उसका सबसे अच्छा दोस्त उसकी जिंदगी तबाह करने पर तुला था. लेकिन वह हार मानने वालों में से नहीं था.
संदीप ने एक वकील से सलाह ली और धीरे-धीरे सबूत इकट्ठा करने लगा. उसने पुराने बैंक स्टेटमेंट्स, ट्रांजेक्शन रिकॉर्ड्स और गवाहों की मदद से रोहन की धोखाधड़ी को उजागर किया. कुछ ही दिनों में सच्चाई सामने आ गई. रोहन के खिलाफ सबूत इतने मजबूत थे कि उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया. जब पुलिस रोहन को लेकर जा रही थी, उसने संदीप की ओर देखा और हँसते हुए कहा, “तुम दोस्ती की बात कर रहे थे, लेकिन असली खेल तो तुमने ही खेला. दोस्त से खतरनाक कोई नहीं होता, संदीप. मैंने तुम्हें नुकसान पहुँचाने की कोशिश की, पर आखिर में तुमने मुझे ही मात दे दी!”
संदीप ने गहरी सांस ली और कहा, “दोस्ती का असली मतलब वफादारी होता है, विश्वासघात नहीं. जो दोस्त धोखा दे, वो सबसे बड़ा दुश्मन होता है!” और यह कहकर वह आगे बढ़ गया — अपनी नई जिंदगी की ओर, जहाँ अब वह ज्यादा सतर्क और समझदार था.

No one is more dangerous than a friend…
Sandeep and Rohan were childhood friends. Both studied together from school to college. Sandeep was calm, while Rohan was a little smart and cunning. However, the friendship between the two was very deep, or at least Sandeep thought so.
After college, both of them started a business together. Initially, everything was going well. Sandeep worked hard, ran around to get new clients, and worked honestly for the business. On the other hand, Rohan’s focus was only on profits. He believed in taking shortcuts and earning money through illegal means.
Slowly, Sandeep started to feel that something was wrong. Rohan would always dodge questions related to the balance sheet of the business. One day, when Sandeep examined the accounts in depth, he was shocked. Rohan had gradually withdrawn a large amount from the business funds. He had transferred the money to his account by showing fake deals. Seeing this, the ground slipped under Sandeep’s feet. The friend whom he considered his brother was stabbing him in the back.
Sandeep demanded answers from Rohan, but he blamed Sandeep instead. Rohan tried to prove Sandeep was a fraud in front of all the employees and clients. Sandeep had not expected this game at all. He could not believe that his best friend was hell-bent on ruining his life. But he was not one to give up.
Sandeep consulted a lawyer and slowly started collecting evidence. He exposed Rohan’s fraud with the help of old bank statements, transaction records and witnesses. The truth came out in a few days. The evidence against Rohan was so strong that he was arrested. When the police were taking Rohan away, he looked at Sandeep and said smilingly, “You were talking about friendship, but you played the real game. There is no one more dangerous than a friend, Sandeep. I tried to harm you, but in the end, you defeated me!”
Sandeep took a deep breath and said, “The true meaning of friendship is loyalty, not betrayal. A friend who betrays is the biggest enemy!” And saying this, he moved on – towards his new life, where he was now more cautious and wiser.
