हर वर्ष 25 अप्रैल को डीएनए दिवस (DNA Day) मनाया जाता है. आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1953 को जेम्स वॉटसन, फ्रांसिस क्रिक और मॉरिस विल्किंस ने डीएनए की डबल हेलिक्स संरचना पर आधारित अपने शोध को प्रकाशित किया था. वर्ष 2003 में आज ही के दिन ह्यूमन जीनोम प्रोजेक्ट (Human Genome Project) पूरा हुआ था.
